Coast to Coast to Coast - still truckin'

We paid way too much for this car at the time with 80K, but since then it has been a bargain. Went from MA to FL to CA and back to MA...20K+ in 3 mos. and not a single problem. In fact, after 60K we have only had to get tires and brakes. Hopefully this puppy lasts for another 60K.

200,000 miles no breakdowns

What a great car this has been. The only mechanical items I've replaced are the starter at 200,000 and the belt tensioner at about 150,000. I'd recommend the 1995 Saturn to anyone looking for a good dependable used car. 34 MPG combined mileage. I've got the 1.6 SOHC engine.

never by a Saturn

All I really have to say is a Saturn was the worse car I have ever bought. I did buy it used. I only had my car for 2 years and it blew up. Its seemed like once my car hit 100,000 miles everything in it started breaking. I have a 1990 Nissan Sentra also which is a hole lot better then the Saturn. The Saturn was good on gas and had a really good cd player in it. But I would never in my life buy another Saturn.I just dont think they are made very well. My mechanic also said he would not suggest a Saturn at all. Also I would never buy another car from Sullivans Auto which is in VA.

I have had only one unscheduled repair in 7 years due to failiure of a part (exhaust pipe bracket). Gas mileage has never been below 27 mpg with city driving. Has averaged about 32 mpg for the life of the car and has gotten as high as 45 mpg on the highway. Great, well built car.

Bought my little SL2 new in 1995 & it's still my primary car! Got a little over 160K. Had to replace clutch master/slave cylinders, head gasket, replaced the ceiling & floor liner/carpets/floor mats and swapped out my drivers seat for the under-used passenger seat. That was like getting a whole new seat for free! So the cosmetics are up to date too! It runs fabulous and has been a great little car. The fuel efficiency is ridiculously great! I average in the mid 30's on highway! Hope to still be driving this car 10 years from now - at least - more would be cool too!
