Used 2003 Saturn L-Series Sedan Consumer Reviews
Excellent Value
I compared this vehichle against the Accord, Camry and Taurus and found it to be a better value with all the extras added. The same Honda or Toyata with the additional features such as leather, 6CD changer, power everything would have been 5k more. Sorry, not convincing enough to send my dollars overseas. I am loving this vehichle especially with the gas prices of today, I am getting around 25 in city which is great.
I love my saturn
Saturn has definately out did themselves this year w/ the L series. I would have never bought a saturn if the L series was not created. I test drove a Saturn back in 2000. The vehicle drove very rough and I was not satisfied. After renting the the L 200 series before buying this yr., I was definately convinced to switch. As long as Saturn continues to enhance and improve their products,I will never by another brand. The service I received from the salesman was "A" plus. He wasn't too pushy at all. As a female, that is very important. The 0% interest promo was even better. My saturn is the best car I've ever had. THANK YOU for improving your product.

Saturn hits a home run!
I couldn't believe this was a Saturn! This car looks totally off the streets of Europe. The German engine gets very high marks. The interiors is carefully thought out with all the amenities. I love the revised headlamps and tail lights with the chrome trim. This car also cost thousands less than a comparable Honda Accord. And with 0% financing for 60 months and no payments due for 90 days, it was very hard to turn this beauty down.
Saturn may going downhill
At 65000 miles, heavy duty repairs have begun. Fuel pump first, then body control module. The BCM failure makes the car simply stop. Period. Then it creates a variety of electrical problems. Given these issues (cost about $1800 to fix), and the well known timing chain issue, I wouldn't recommend Saturn any more than any other GM brand. This car has a disturbing number of defects that are identical to those from other years that were cause for recalls, however, Saturn hasn't recalled this model. We were Saturn believers.
There are far better choices
This car has never been "perfect". You would think that a new car would be for just a little while. I've had nothing but problems (large and small). Too much interior noise, poor build quality, and all L series chew up their tires every 10-15k miles from what I'm hearing from other owners, I'm on my 3rd set, I have 50k mi on the car. Go look at other models, I know I shouldn't have bought another domestic car. I never had any issues with my Subaru. Problem is the resale value is so bad with this Saturn that I cant trade it in. Good luck - don't buy a Saturn.
