Used 2003 Saturn L-Series Sedan Consumer Reviews
Cheap and reliable
Mine is about to hit 198,000 miles naught this thing for 800$ put about 500 into it but part of that was for a new radio. I had to replace some of the ac parts. I recently drove from Joplin mo area all the way to Des Moines Iowa with no issues put about 1,000 miles on it in two days and it ran like a champ l.

One of the better cars I’ve owned.
I had to put in two thermostats while owning this car, but it still runs like a top with 140000 miles.

General Mess from GM
This was our second Saturn, the first was a 1996 SL1 with 75,000 and no issues, this one was now been in the shop 19 times, the first was the second day. Constant electrical problems, no break lights and suspension issues, car has gone through 3 sets of tires. Interior of very poor quality, rattles, squeeks, headline falling down, and go try and trade the car in, the value is almost as bad a Yugo. Never again will we purchase a GENERAL MESS from GENERAL MOTORS
Better than expected
Replaced a '00 Nissan Frontier Crew Cab with the '03 Saturn L200. Needed a larger back seat for the new baby and better gas milage for all the driving I do for work. My wife had a '99 SL1 and I was not expecting much from this L200, as her car was basic transportation with lots of road noise, cheap plastic and not much comfort. But this Saturn is wonderful. I got a hard to find 5- speed, the auto was just too slow and no fun to drive. This car with the 5- speed, while not fast, is fun to drive. 5-spoke allows look like Saab 9-3 SE wheels. Very European styling is attractive. My neighbors thought I got a Saab or a Lexus. They were surprised when I told them it was a Saturn.
Saturn = Lego with Wheels
I hate this car! Within the first 6 months of owning it, I had to take it in for warranty work 11 times! This car is the equivalent of a Lego with wheels. The front bumper is held in place only by plastic clips. In a normal car, should you pull up too far on a curb, you pull out and scratch the bumper, maybe leave a little paint. In this Saturn, you will leave your entire bumper! Not only did this happen to me after 4 months of ownership, I have seen at least a half dozen other L200s in my area driving without front bumpers altoghether. I personally bolted the bumper into the wheel well to keep it on. I hate everything about this car and cannot wait to get out of it! Do not buy this car!
