Different But Good

2003 Saturn ION 3 4dr Sedan (2.2L 4cyl 5A)

When I initially looked at the new Ion I was not sure if I liked it as it was different as far as the interior and exterior designs. After the test drive I was impressed with the performance and ride and found the seats to be firm but comfortable. After 9,000 miles I continue to be well satisfied with the car and feel as if the center mounted gauge cluster is preferable over the conventional gauge cluster in my previous and other cars that I own.

I think this car is highly underrated. We had a bad experience with a previous Saturn, but the ION has been a godsend. Very reliable, very sporty, very fun to drive! The battery in the trunk is unique and very convenient for my needs.

We went to the Hyundai dealer and it was the worst eperience ever. They were the agressive old fashioned sales guys. They wanted us to sign a paper before we even had decided if we wanted the car. Also they wanted to charge us $225.- processing fees, Saturn charges $85.-. Also I would like to know where I can buy a Elantra with moonroof, leather and ABS for less then what we paid for the ION. We love the way it drives, chairs are comfortable, a lot better then the Ford Escort and the trunk is huge.

I just got my new car on Tuesday, and I just love it. GM sent me a letter saying that I could use my GM dollars towards a Saturn, and if I used them by December 31st, they would double them. Wow, that is $ 1,600.00 off my car. Thanks GM.

When I decided to purchase a new car, I wanted an a nice, reliable and somewhat inexpensive one. In a nut shell, I didn't want a car payment. After looking for several months, I ended up with a previously owned Saturn Ion (it was 1.5 yrs old.) It's cute, reliable and cheap, but best of all it doesn't look or drive like a cheap car. It's a small car that doesn't drive like a small car. It is also a very comfortable ride on long trips, no aching back or sore seat, unlike some of the small Japanese cars I've traveled in. Finally, the mpg is great. I get 36mpg hwy.
