This is our 2nd ram, first was a two year battle with numerous issues. Finally hired a lawyer and dodge bought it back. So we upgraded as I still love the truck...Bad mistake, left on the side of the road in the dessert with livestock and my family. Power steering just turned off. 3 days stuck in a hotel with livestock in a trailer, 1 hr after they fixed it, it failed again. Now we are going on 3 weeks with no communication from FCA, just a run around. No answers and no support..meanwhile we lose money on rentals and canceling things because we have no truck.

Ram 3500 6.7 bad turbo, fuel pump and front-end. Chrysler will take their time to repair it 1 to 2 months. All that went bad at 3k mile and I have 4 other friends had the same issues. I hate Chrysler customer service. I hate the whole company. I'm switching all my trucks over to semi. I don't even want trade this one in. I'll have it crushed then use it a paper weight.

Let me start off by saying, I’m a die hard mopar fan. I’ve owned three different Durango’s, three different Chargers, and two different HD Ram trucks. With that being said, I have spent a ton of time at the dealership with issues that I have never had to deal with in other brands. Good and bad, I’m over the same old issues with FCA products. I’ve been in my 2020 Ram 3500 Tradesmen now for about three months. Just a few issues so far, drive side headlight holding water, rear drivers side rear shock leaking fluid, front brakes squeaking at all speeds, front hood shaking at interstate speeds and as low as 60 mph. Rear auto leveling air suspension not working properly. Drivers side seat to high, they could at least put manual adjustable seats in a vehicle priced above 65k. Now, the last thing to let you know. The chrome hubcaps on the front wheel make a clicking noise and will drive you crazy if your window is down. Now on to the plus items and the good. The power of the 410 hp and torque is beyond any other vehicle in this market. Ram has done a great job on the design and look of the new Ram. Upgrading the tires from Firestone to Nexen was a great idea. The layout of the dash and options are above standard but have room for improvement at this price point. But overall this is a great vehicle and I’m being a little light on the star rating.

Was super excited to by this truck in December of 2020!! Had all the bells and whistles! In February, I started taking it around the country for work. The first issue was the power steering going out. It took Dodge several weeks to get the part delivered to where I was. Then a month or so later, I was crossing over Mt. Hood and when I got to the bottom of the mountain, the transfer case decided not to work anymore. We used Onstar and they had to tow my truck to the nearest dealership and my 40ft trailer to the nearest truck stop. Once they confirmed that I was in fact the transfer case, I was informed that it would take 2 weeks for the part to come in. On top of the 2 weeks, the rep for FCA wasn't very transparent about everything and lacked in communication skills. Two weeks turned into 4 weeks. For 4 weeks I was stranded in Oregon, not able to work. For 4 weeks I had to stay in a hotel. There was nothing FCA ( warranty) could do until the part came in and the "file was closed". Luckily I was prepared for such a large inconvenience. I was reimbursed for hotel stay and they paid for the rental. But there was no replacing my income for 4 weeks....... and these last few days, I've gotten the coolant low light on the dash. I kept having to top off the coolant level only to have it start overheating. Brought it to the dealership. They said it was "just ta bad coolant cap". Charged me a $140.00 diagnostic fee only to leave and drive a few miles for the coolant light to come back on.... So, of course, I turned right around to take it back. I'm just disappointed because I speak so highly of the truck and this brand. The first truck I purchased a few years ago was a 2014 Ram 3500 Laramie and had a bad experience with it. Whatever you do, don't let the pretty interior or all the features distract you. I'm not buying anymore Ram vehicles. These trucks aren't consistent! My business solely depends on the condition of my truck and I'm tired of loosing money

Let me get started by saying my 2020 Ram 3500 SRW HO pulls like a dream and handles like an HD truck should. Please note this is a Tradesman but came with all the bells and whistles, such as 360 camera, blind side, LEF lights, spray in bed liner, 5th wheel prep, etc. The list goes on. No truck is perfect and these companies need to make money too, but RAM made things right by recalling the dreaded CP4. That in itself should make RAM owners proud. Should the CP4 been used in the first place, NO, but RAM took it on the chin and is replacing mine free of charge. The chitter chatter on these sites are always negative, and yes, there are instances of lemons, happens with all brands. I don’t depend on my truck for income and feel for the guys that do when issues arise, but from a truck perspective, my RAM gives me all that I need and more. Couldn’t be happier with my purchase and the real review will be in 10-15 years, hopefully. As of today, I would recommend this truck as well as the RAM brand to anyone.

I have around 56K miles on this truck and couldn't be happier. I mostly tow a ~5ton trailer so this is obviously overkill for me but I love it

This truck is not heavy duty. Worst truck owned

I purchased my 2020 Ram 3500 Limited in 2021 with 24K miles on it. The first issues that reared their ugly head was front end issues causing me to wear tires quickly. By 48K miles i was on my second set of tires! Then we had a recall on the wheel studs which was scary considering that this truck is used in a commercial capacity. Right behind that, we had an issue with the transmission dipstick falling out of the tube and transmission fluid loss, to which Rams solution was to use a new dipstick with a locking mechanism to prevent the dipstick from falling out. The problem was that the dip stick was too short, therefore one would not be able to check the fluid level of their transmission. Shortly after the transmission dipstick debacle, the DEF system failed at 95K miles. I called the dealer to inquire about rectifying it, and other than the $4500 cost to fix, the part was on back order with no estimated timeframe. Considering that I was in Florida at the time in a commercial capacity, (i reside in Texas) I ended up deleting the system since that was the only way to get me back on the road in a timely manner. Then at 130K miles, my fuel pump and transmission both went out. The pump was covered under recall, but the transmission was not. The transmission was replaced for $6500 and then one week later it failed again, leaving me stranded. It was fixed again along with the fuel pump only for the engine to now fail at 212K miles spewing oil on the road and God knows where else. The engine failed in Colorado leaving me stranded for hours, scrambling to find a tow truck and eventually a rental so that I can get back home. This vehicle was meticulously maintained by the dealer and by myself, and based on Rams claims, this is a heavy duty truck yet it behaves as if its a POS. I am not sure why the engine failed as no indicators came on in the dash and the oil level along with everything else was good at Pre Trip Inspection, but the dealer in Pueblo Colorado is sure taking their time to advise me. Ram corporate has been non responsive. For the cost of these vehicles at $80K+, one would expect more longevity, better parts and overall excellent customer service. These issues have managed to erode my confidence in the Mopar brand, therefore, I will never purchase another Mopar branded product. Please note that these are only the major issues that impacted my business. We wont get into the rattling headliner, the tailgate latch malfunctions, Uconnect system issues, failing headlights and oil burning issues. My turck was equipped with the Cummins diesel and 68RFE transmission.
