Best car ever owned

I have never had such a great car. Had tranny rebuilt and not a problem since. Moved from central WI to SW OH and road trip was awesome. Smooth sailing all the way. Back of car caught on fire due to bush near car and the car still started up and only burned back right side. It keeps on ticking. Looking to sell now. Hoping to find another just like it.

I purchased my fully loaded Sunbird SE 3.1L-v6 in '96 when it had 30k miles. It now has 140k miles and it's been an awesome car. I get awesome acceleration from stoplights and for passing; car also has a very smooth ride and great handling. Overall, this little car has been very good to me. So good to me that when I went looking for another car a couple of years ago, I ended up keeping my Sunbird because nothing else performed as well. The name of the game, boys and girls, is maintenance. Keep up with your oil changes and transmission fluid changes and the other basic maintenance and chances are high your vehicle will do well.

This is a pretty decent car. The cheapest car with a V6 that we could find for my then girlfriend, now wife. We've put over 85,000 miles on it since purchased at two years old. Besides normal maintainence, we've replaced the alternator, battery, and some sensor that I forgot the name of. The alternator and battery went out rather early (around 60K miles), but otherwise it has run well.

I love my Sunbird

This car was my first, so that I could commute to college. I bought it in 2003 with 77,000 miles on it, and it still runs great. I like how roomy the driver's seat is, because I am a tall woman, and I sometimes feel cramped in small cars. It has never not started up for me, even in the below 0 Illinois winters. Very reliable car. The engine runs a little rough, but every mechanic that has looked at it says that it's in good condition. I had to have a valve job done on it, but that's to be expected with age. I would probably keep driving it for a a few more years, if I hadn't been rear-ended, smashing in the trunk. Insurance called it a total. I was kept safe, though, so that's a plus.

My first car

My sunbird has since died but for the 7 or so months I had it it was my pride and joy. It was a 5 spd manual which made it lots of fun, with a 3.1 v6. Not much power. Anyway the thing did burnouts like no other. I only had a few problems like the clutch going (my bad) and the alternator. In the last few months it got probably twenty to the gallon but before that it got 30 to 35. This car was my second life
