One of the best cars yet
Have you ever wanted a fun affordable car? Well you've found it. Thats right the Pontiac G6 Convertable is one of the nicest, best cars I have ever owned. I have a Mercedes convertable and a BMW sedan and this beats out the both of them. The overall best thing about this car to me is the amazing gas mileage and looks of it.
Love My New Car
I just bought this car a few weeks ago. I love the look of the car when the top is down. It drives like a gem. The only issue was the CD player didn't work a few days after I purchased it. The dealership ordered me a new one immediately. I would recommend this car to anyone to buy.

Gas hog
This car looks great from the outside but is a bit cramped inside. I wish it would have come in a 4 cyl. so the gas consumption would be less.
Love it!
I love this car. I get the best of both worlds. The quiet ride of a standard car and can still go topless. No rag top to be cut. It has great power and rides great!
First Trip Back American
I turned in both a Chrysler Crossfire and Saab 9-3 convertible and bought this car. This car is easy to get in and out, drives well, though turning radius lacks. Comfortable and OK features. For the price, it's a good vehicle.
Better Hardtop
I have been looking for a HT/convertible since owning the Ford Sunliner. This car is so much fun to drive and I stole it from the dealer. It is fun to drive and great with the top down. Had a rag top and you guessed it, the top got cut and it rotted. So much for rag tops. Now I am so happy with my convertible and if it turns out to be lemon I don't care. I will love it anyway. My son and I love it and now he wants me to buy him one. The top movement is so smooth and no problems like the Sunliner had. Tubes/switches bad
PROBLEMS
I love my car but this wk found I needed brakes almost ate the rotars out, the brakes made noise from day one and I was told it was dirt, 389.00 later its the brakes, they also found a noice that is a leak in the exhaust but don't know the spot, I have another GMC wiht 85,000 miles and orgnl brakes so its not the driver, I found my garage is the pits, they no longer take you to work(over 5 miles) they will not give me a lender so I am stuck taking a day off with my warrenty still good,,,

Great hard top convertible
I've loved the Lexus SC but felt $65,000 out of my price range for what I wanted. Security and wondering if and when someone would cut a hole in the top was my hold back on a convertible and having it for winter. Just happened to see a G6 in a parking lot and checked it out on line and found a car for $31000 that did just what I needed. It really needs a place to lock items in when parked and one touch button top operation would be great. Liked the electric blue but found it was only available in 06 and put out the blue gold which I don't care for color wise. Odd they made the prototype electric blue and cancel the color for 07. I love the car anyway.
with just 9 days and 1300 miles
It is a lot of fun to drive. I do worry about all the moving parts in the top operation, but no problems so far. I like the milage I get, but there can be a big difference depending on drivers. My wife is a "jack rabbit" take off person. I reset the MPG computer the other day. After two days of just her driving, she was only getting 17 MPG. I reset it and I drove it for two days and got 26 MPG. If I start making her buy her gas, maybe she will keep that lead foot under control :)
Owned my 07 G6 Gt convertible since 2011. Love it
Fast, smooth, tight road hugger. This is one if the most innovative, solidly built cars I have ever owned....really since the 73 Olds Cutlass 350 4bbl. Mine has the the quick 3.9 vvt 3900 engine. Mine is bright red with a bone and black leather interior. Since its my sun car, its only driven on dry days. Its fully loaded with all extras. No regrets and is holding its value. My belief due to low production numbers and the unique hardtop convertible , this is for sure a future collectable car.
Love to Hate Pontiac G6 GT Convertible
Always wanted a convertible, husband pushed me to get hard top retractable for safety reasons. I have really enjoyed the look, the feel, and the convertible. Several draw backs in the build mechanically. Replaced the front rotors twice already, 57,000 miles now replacing the water pump and soon will need to replace the intake manifold. Live in country, roads rough, but not abusive. Had collision with a dear and was amazed at the little damage caused and appreciative of how safe I felt. Cost to fix was very high, front bumper and headlamps, cost 7000. Covered under insurance, however very high. Brake pads seem to go often, every 3-4 months, don't live on big hills like in PA either.
DONT BUY THIS CRAP BUCKET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!;)
yikes just exchanged this car for a range rover and i have to say this does not even compare just save yourself the trouble and buy a range rover

I Love It
I bought a G6 Convertable in Iowa in Jan. 06- talk about faith! It was quieter to drive than a Camry and more fun than an Accord!! This car has been a wonderful drive for my husband and I! It is a solid and dependable drive and even is comfortable for 4 adults and a Yellow Lab dog!! The mileage is impressive and handles solidly! Thank You GM!
convertible
I have had this car for one month, it has spent 8 days of this in the shop for a rattle in the dash. It seems someone forgot to put some of the parts together. Other than that, I love the car, it handles great, is extremely comfortable, and gets great gas mileage. My husband also really likes the car and loves the way it handles. We drove 6 different convertibles before settling on this one because we can take another couple with us if we want to, this is not an option with any other car we looked at. I also get a lot of looks with this car. I have even had people pull up beside me on the interstate to look at the car. Would I buy one again, yes.
I like the retractable hard top
As the owner of an older Ford Mustang convertible, it is so nice to not be worried about having to replace the top every 5-7 years. The interior is amazingly roomy nad safe . We have three kids and the back seat will comfortable seat tehm as they get older (the 11 yr old boys are not much shorter than my average height wife) and the front seat is real safe with the dual stage air bag (one heck of an improvement over two pint seat belt and no air bags in the older car). It's also quiet and comfortable with the top down! Heated seats are a great way to increase top-down time in the Fall.
Hot convertible
I love driving to and from work wiht the top down. It has been over 100 degrees this summer, and yet even with the top down, I can feel the AC....The look is great, and the fun doesn't stop...I hvae the GTP with the bigger engine, and it has plenty of get up and go - sacrificing some MPG in the process
Fun car!
We have really enjoyed our G-6 Hardtop convertible. It has been so much fun to have a fun car at a reasonable price.
Awesome!
What a great Car! Hot, comfortable, fun and compared to other vehicles with similar features, it's relatively inexpensive.
pleasantly surprised
The hardtop, convertible sold me on the car as well as the looks of the car.Driving the car I found it to be very "tight".I could not hear any squeaks as I went over bumps. The steering wheel is a little"tight" but once you realize this it is easy to overcome when turning the wheel.I like the car and the style. I'm glad I purchased it.
What a Feeling!
I shopped around for a new car for a year, and had always considered the G6 sedan until I had the salesman showed me the convertible. All it took was looking at that sporty coupe turn into a great looking convertible with the push of a button and I knew what would be in my driveway! I love having two cars in one!! When the top's up, you can't even tell it's a convertible, inside or out. It looks great going down the road, and then I put the top down and you know that everyone is looking at it, whether they want to or not.
Great convertible, best of both worlds
We own a couple of Corvettes, one we have owned for 25 years. We traded an F150 supercrew pickup. We have about 1000 miles on her now and absolutely love this car. First Pontiac in decades. I must say the performance (and I would know :) is fun but the real magic of this car is the retractible roof, what a concept. We compaired the other 40K+ cars with retracts and thought this car was actually a better buy, plus you are buying American. We are getting over 27 mpg and know it will get better as it breaks in. If you are looking for a convertible, look hard at this one. We couldn't be happier!
Love this Car!
When it's not raining - the top is down on this car. The only complaint I have is the condensation around the A/C vents. It has gotten so bad, it has shorted the hazard flashers. My concern is it will short the great monsoon stereo system. Quick to response & fun to drive. In town gas mileage around 23 mpg.
Always came back
I'd been looking at cars for almost a year and every time it always came back to the G6 Convertible. Before this car came out I never would have thought to purchase a GM vehicle. This car is a blast to drive. Not a techy car by any means. No NAV, Bluetooth, A/V jack etc. but when it's sunny, and the top goes down who cares!
Ponti-yak
This is the most fun car we've ever driven! Push one button and you go from hard top to convertible - no latches to loosen or canvas covers to snap in place - the top automatically folds into the trunk in about 30 seconds. Most convertibles are quite noisy with the top up (only canvas between you and road noise) but this car is as quiet as any sedan when the top's up. Can't wait to tow it behind an RV and enjoy the vacation scenery from a vantage point only a convertible can provide. I have a Bluetooth phone which I can use when the top's down. There is hardly any wind noise in the front seat.
Pontiac G6 Hard Top Convertible
Aside from an annoying clicking in the front windows, this auto has been awesome. It took the dealer three attempts to quiet the clicking, rattling window noise. It only happened with the windows all the way up, and was fixed with an adjustment to the top closure which was covered in a manufacturer's bulletin. This car is fun to drive and is truly like having two cars in one with the retractable hard top. Gas mileage is excellent given the performance level.
Love my Red G6
This car is perfect for south Florida. It looks great with the top up or down. Most times it's down. A very important consideration when I bought the G-6 was that my elderly mothers' wheelchair would fit in the trunk. It fits perfectly. The other convertibles in this class could not accomadate the chair. I bought a Saturn Sky the same day for a "fun car" and find that the G6 gets just as many looks and comments from people and handles nearly as well.
G6
Good looking car, agree with others, ergonomically, could be better, for the money, could have been better trimmed. too early to rate reliability, have only had this vehicle 3 weeks
Great car to drive for the money
With my daughter off to college, I traded by big, old Chrysler Concorde for a small, fun to drive, 2007 Pontiac G6 hard-top convertible. I love this car! I wanted a convertible and since I drive 100+ miles a day, I also wanted quiet and comfort. This car provides both with its retractable hard top. Steers great, back seats are comfortable. The only problem I've experienced was a rubbing noise when I made tight turns. The dealer trimmed the seam sealer which was pushing out on the fender liner and all is good!
Back To America
This is my first American car since 1983. Didn't think the styling and quality of American cars was as good as the foreign cars. Times are changing. This convertible is a blast to drive. It is one of the best looking convertibles out there. I get so many looks driving down the road. And when I stop to raise/lower the hardtop people just stop and stare. It is a very comfortable car to drive. Roomy, good seats, very good instrumentation, very smooth and quiet ride for a car this small. The fit and finish of this car is first rate. I got mine with the premium and sport package and it is a very solid buy.
My midlife crisis car
I have been enjoying this car since the day I got it as a birthday present from my hubby! Great looking car, people definitely stop and look. I put on custom chrome wheels and the chrome package on my black G6...looks great. Love the monsoon sound system. I live in the desert so I can put the top down almost every day.
Smaller Car, More Action
I recently went down in size on my cars, having previously driven a full-sized vehicle. I was afraid that moving to a small sporty car would be a negative experience, but instead it has been incredibly fun. I live in a rainy, rainy state, so the idea of a convertible is foreign to many here, but the hardtop is perfect in that I get all the protection from the elements I need and the removable top I wanted. I love this car, first day I got more looks from the local college girls than I do on my motorcycle, which cost about twice as much.
fun convertable seats 4 comfortably
