They don't make 'em like this any more.

Now turning 169,000 miles going on 7 years, I must part with my reliable SE steed. Nothing really big wrong, but the fuel pump died at 158K, and its time to do the brakes, and struts, and well you get the picture. Eventually even the best get tired. I'm torn though this is just about the most fun, and reliable car I've ever owned.

200,000 miles!

I love my car but unfortunately it is time to say good-bye. I bought the car in 1997 with 32,000 miles and it now has 198,600 miles! Never had any major problems with the car (just regular maintenance). Just got a quote from a local garage for $1,100 - it needs struts & mounts, ball bearings, wheel bearings & an axle. I would love to keep the car, but as my husband tells me "it's at the point where things are going to start letting go". I'm giving the car to my 17 year old nephew so at least it will still be in the family! I'm now looking for another Bonneville!

I bought it about eight months ago for $4,900 It had 117K on it and I've put about 10K on it since I've had it. I was woried about the high miles at first, but I have'nt seen a sign of trouble. It's very comfortable and fun to drive!

My Bonnie was purchased used six years ago and we have had a great relationship over the 72,000 miles. Like most, she has required some maintainance but nothing major. New water pump at 100,000, injector problem at 80,000, fuel line leak, and brakes have been it. It is a car I would recommend to others and I am contemplating moving to a newer used Bonnie.

I bought this car because I liked the looks, it fit my needs and I got a great deal. What I didn't expect was how reliable this car has been. I had heard so much about poor quality in American cars but this has been the most trouble free car I have ever owned. It is 7+ years old, has almost 90,000 miles but has never stranded me or needed anything but minor repairs. This is the best car I have ever owned.
