Going Strong
Although the ride is a little soft, the acceleration is adequate and I get an average of just over 25mpg. The car is comfortable and very reliable. It sat garaged for a year (twice) while I was deployed and started up again with no problems. It's getting close to 200,000mi and still running strong. Lived in NY, TX, and NC with it - handled well in the snow and did fine in the heat; heading to KS next. No major mechanical issues; I've been lightly rear-ended twice, but only scratched the bumper.
I love my car
I have over 309 thousand miles on my car. It is still the original everything. The only things I have had to replace on this car is the water pump and the break pads. It has been great! I suffer from driving anxiety and I would trust it to go to California and back to Wisconsin with no problems. I am currently looking to get another one, due to the fact my son took this one from me. This is not your gutless Cutlass.

Hated to Give it Up
My Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme was the best car that I have ever owned! I used it for real estate and had to trade it for a minivan due to another pregnancy (this is #4). The car had 170,000 miles on it and still drove like the day it was purchased. It had an awesome sound system, hugged the road, was very comfortable, and had lots of power in its 3.4L V6 engine. I had minor problems with the ABS system (it tended to stick when the parking brake was released) and with the electronics (the check engine light and security lights never would turn off). Also, its electronics tended to have short out easily. Other than those problems, it was a wonderful vehicle. I hated to part with it. If you get one, you will love it too!
Reliable Car(s)
I am a long-term Olds Cutlass owner. I actually own two. Both now have close to 200,000 miles on them. I have had to make very minimal repairs (hose replacements, gaskets, etc.). They run forever (or at least I've been lucky). The model has a couple blind spots and the a/c vents aren't located very well, but this is minimal.
Love my Olds
Is it a brand new car with all the bells and whistles? No! But my car has never left me stranded and it has treated us right from day 1! I will not get rid of this car till it has had enough of us! Ours has 150,000 miles and its still runs like brand new! I wish I could find another one!
Why ME!!!
This vehicle reminds me of wacthing Tom Hanks in the Money Pit. Every time you touch something or push a pedal.. something else breaks. Why Me? What have i done to deserve this. In all honesty it makes it to college and back, about 600K round trip. So i did not complain untill the trans, struts, calipers, fuel pump, alternator, ignition coils, and head decided to go all at 115K. Good luck and the devil have mercy on your oldsmobile.
Best car ever had
I purchased this car when it was less than a year old and it had 54,000 miles on it. It sat in the dealers parking lot running for 2 hours waiting on a lock smith because they shut the door. I drove it one block and purchased it immediately. I drove the car every day 100-150 miles each day. It had 300,000 miles on it when the instrument panel and electronics died. Engine was still strong. I never got tired or aching no matter how long I drove. Everything was convenient. It almost drove itself. We never had to do anything to it except replace a few alternators & batteries and replace the tires 2 times. If it was still made I would have nothing else. I guess they were too good.
1994 Olds cutlass supreme 130,000 miles
intake manifold leaked a little oil. had to tightened. Rear upper strut mounts went bad., Cam sensor wire insulation went bad right at the sensor because of oil leak. Transmissoin selector switch went bad causing the car not to go in over drive. Now remember this car has 132,000 mile run great. Great gas mileage. I'm a mechanic. it's been a good car.
Owner
Bought new on 12-09-1993 now has 130,000 miles have had very little repairs to make still driving with satisfaction.
Still Kickin'
Car has over 170K miles. It's sat in a garage for six months, 12 months, and 15 months while on deployments - and started right back up with no problems on my returns. Electrical system is problematic (but not major), and the turning radius is huge, but it is a very dependable and durable automobile. I bought an Acura as a potential repacement in 2003 - and it only has 8K (mainly from relocating from TX to NC to KS). Deploying again in June, and confident it'll be fine sitting for another year waiting for me. I had a '90 Cutlass Calais before this and was impressed enough to buy this in '98. No regrets.
204,000 miles and still going strong
I bought this car in 1998 with 52000 miles on it. It has been a very reliable car, with just normal maintenance needing done. I was broad sided by a Toyota Tercel on my way home from work one day. The tercel was totaled back to the windshield. I backed by car off the curb and drove it home. It had $6000.00 worth of damage done to it. I loved the car so I had it repaired. (Insurance company covered everything) Since the repair work, you could never tell it was in an accident. Drives and handles perfect! I am looking at a 1995 Cutlass Supreme now. It only has 40,000 miles on it. The dealer is asking $6000. I am going to buy it this week.
Olds Rocks!
I've owned this car for 3.5 years and I love it. Though it's old, I've not had any serious problems with it. I love the pickup speed-it's just perfect. It'll definitely live long past all of my friends cars of similar ages. I wish Olds had never quit!
No Better Ride.
I am the original owner of a 1994 Cutlass Supreme. I would still match my car up to any newer model cars. I relocated to Chicago this past summer and the car has handled just as well in the inclement weather. My car is now approaching 90,000 miles and performs as well today as it always has. I love this car.
Great dependable car!
My car has 138,000 miles on it and it's never stalled before! The air still works awesome, the heater's great, and it has an amazing speaker system. It is a really sharp car. I got in an accident recently and spun out on ice, hitting a guardrail at 75 mph and it only needed an airbag and a headlight! This is a great, sturdy, dependable car! I definitely recommend it!
Great car; Wish GM still made them
This has been a great car for me. I bought it with 145,000 miles already on it, in only three years of use, and it is still reliable and drives like a new car.
'94 Olds Cutlass Supreme
This car is bigger than others cars I have owned. It is also the first American car I have owned. I have only had the car for about a month and I am very impressed with it so far. The 3.1 V6 has enough power for what I need. I do a lot of highway driving and find the ride to be very comfortable. Engine sound is also quiet.
So far... so good
Great car so far, It's been in the family for about two years / 25,000 miles. I have a 3.1L and I do seem to have a mysterious oil leak somewhere. It seems to loose a quart or so every 1500-2000 miles. Besides that, I have no major complaints. Nice ride and decent acceleration for a sedan
MR J
I've brought my 94 Olds Cutlass 3.1 from a pvt owner for $1700 h wanted @ least $2500. From the 1st months I had issues with the CHECK SOON ENGINE LIGHT.No one could find out the issues in why ,it still drove ok. It's very hard to find parts for it like in very back inside where the rear speakers are, looking like it was eatten by rats & want to see if I could get it redone some how. I had 2 water pumps,A/C issues TWICE 2 fule pumps,.Had to put in another engine it had coollet in the oil locked it up & another transmission. My AM/FM CASSTTE system didn't work[THE CASSTTE DECK] & no one has cassette tapes any more.I need my car to be REPROGRAMED to lock/unlocking the doors NEED a part to keep my trunk opened ,but no one makes it any more. It's a nice colored blue.Better watch out for engine SURGINGS I had to take it to the shop last year cause it was cutting off went making a turn or @ a STOP light or sign & everything was changed but was in the shop for over 10 months cause they had a hard time finding the issue.I do love the car otherwise
