Used 2005 Nissan Xterra Consumer Reviews
powerful upgrade
No question the redesigned X-terra is more powerful and more spacious. My next door neighbor has a 2004 x-terra and wants to upgrade, now that he has experiences the new model. cons: I agree with Edmunds that there is some weakness on the interior, but very little. The seat material seems prone to snag, but is great at allowing for the flow of heat (and keeping you cool) on those hot summer days. Did I mention that this thing is really powerful! If you are thinking about getting an X-terra, don't even consider buying a used one, there is just too much improvement in the 2005 to consider an older model.
Everything you need, nothing you don't.
Get up and go. Anywhere. My wife had an '04 and the differences are tremendous. 4x4 is flawless in the snow. Gas mileage is around 20 mpg. Lots of storage compartments and lots of cup holders are a plus.

dependable workhorse
nice. nice. nice. bought this vehicle to help me rebuild after Hurricane Katrina. The shock came when I was able to haul a 5ft patio door with ease.
Absolutely Love It
We just bought the new Xterra this weekend and absolutely love it. It rides great, has a ton of power, the interior is well designed and comfortable and it is priced great compared to other SUV's. I would highly reccomend it to anyone. It is really catered to the active lifestyle.
Great Truck for a Buck
I purchased my Nissan X-Terra SE in 2005 brand new. I wanted BASIC reliable transportation and 4wheel drive. Live in the northeast. I have just under 40000 miles I've replaced the brakes all around once along with routine maintenance. The truck always starts always gets me where I have to go. Wish the gas mileage was better but I knew what I was getting when I made the purchase. The engine has loads of power and handle like a stable truck. This is not meant to be a fancy ride. Its a basic good honest truck, that's it.
