Used 2017 Nissan Titan Crew Cab Consumer Reviews
Wont buy again a 2017 titan
I have 2 titans a 2014 crew and a 2017 crew 4x4,,, the 2014 has 100,000 miles not a single problem .yet. the 2017 is build to pull .. i pull about 3500 lb daily ... im a vender ..But have several issues first.. after about 30000 miles it put me lemp mode almost didnt make it to dealer.. second about 80000 miles had to put new transmission also about this time have a major manifold exhaust leak but it closes after it warms up some and has kicked the code light several times but didnt realized till after warranty and it got worse that i should have took it back.. im thankful the transmission was under warranty.. and about 120000 new water pump .. now i have a p26ab code .. im thinking its a open term-stat. But not sure takes 30 min to heat up .. thats 440 dol.. you cant just buy the thermostat.. now ...and lastly at 160000 the new transmission is slipping between 2nd and 3rd .. or jerking like before .. i called today they only warranty the new transmission 12 months or 12000 miles.. just for the new transmission alone over 5000 not counting labour.. so this truck year model i wouldn't recommend at all for towing daily ..the motor has plenty power and works great thanks but the 7 speed transmission... id rather have my 2014 5 speed in this.. 0ne
Performs as Good or Better Than Advertised
I purchased a Titan in November 2016 after years of wanting to buy a pickup truck. There was a great deal of time spent comparing the features, specs, prices, etc., of all full size and midsize pickups on the market. I also test drove many of these pickups, but wanted to wait until the new Titan arrived before making the decision. After a test drive of the Titan, I was quite impressed with the performance, features, and overall value. Within a week of the test drive, I bought one. The Titan comfortably accommodates my family of five and our gear for extended road trips. It cruises down the interstate with no effort and handles snow and mud without issue. It is a very thoughtfully designed vehicle, and I hope it is as reliable as previous Nissan vehicles my family has owned. If I had to buy it again, I would!

Titan your belt you’ll need money for repairs
Great looking truck until the paint failed under 25, 000 miles . Bumper to bumper warranty doesn’t cover paint until the body rust through. But don’t worry, when your engine fails the truck will be out of the weather and in the shop for months ! You won’t get a whole new motor just the short block but when your pistons gall the block none of that metal will wind up in the top end. Also Nissan consumer satisfaction will close out your case every thirty days so everything must be all better ! Enjoy the fastest depreciation of any truck out there ! Yay Nissan !

Titan XD free range facts
My last review I remarked about poor mpg and transmission shifting early from second gear through third to fourth in normal traffic, resulting in poor torque momentarily and temporary power loss. Now that the truck has 40k plus miles it performs better. MPG: pulling 28ft travel trailer w/700 lb hitch weight I average 9. With 500lb small trailer and 1000 lb yamaha side x side loaded I average 14.5 mpg. Around town w/no tow I average just over 15. Interstate 17. Nissan may have re-flashed my computer concerning lower gear shift points because I complained greatly and now it works well. Fosgate sound system not nearly as good as Bose. Ride is very comfortable. 4x4 system works very good and have been in some very swampy wet muddy conditions. XD is not for "off roading" as a sport but hasn't failed me getting me through places I probably should not have gone. No problem with the 5.6 gasser for power. Don't know if I will purchase a second one but that will be determined after 150k miles hopefully.

Titan Guy 2004 & 2017
I owned a 04 Titan SE Crew cab 4X4 for 10 years. I bought it used and put 246000 miles on it with no mechanical issues. I loved that truck and thought it to be very comfortable and reliable. I purchased the 17 PRO4X with every available option and so far I can report that I do love this truck. As others have stated, it is bigger than the older one and requires more turning radius. However, other than that I have had no issues. This one has all the gadgets and electronic gizmos that my 04 did not making it very fun to drive. My only complaint might be the lack of usable space under the rear seats. The new Titan has lockable storage boxes under the rear seats and although a nice idea, they are not really big enough for anything such as tools. I used to carry a toolbox under the seat of my old one. Also, being a four wheel drive I believe the PRO4X should come equipped with better off road tires than the other Titans available. My first time off road against my brothers Tundra was not an impressive outing. The locking Diffs are nice however, more meaty off road tires are needed. Other than that, really great truck. I'm sure i'll be driving this one for many years.
