Used 2017 Nissan Rogue Consumer Reviews
Transmission Failure at 90,000 Miles
Bought my Nissan Rogue with 20,000 miles on it. It worked perfectly fine up until this year when I started having issues with the transmission. For a 3 year old car I was not expecting transmission issues... It's out of warranty and Nissan's response to my claim was they are unable to cover any expenses as it's out of warranty. I really regret buying this vehicle... it's a joy to drive and very spacious but it's going to cost me $3500 to replace the transmission... CVT transmission issues are common the Rogues from what I've read online recently... I highly advise NOT PURCHASING from NISSAN.

2017 Rogue: 130,000 mi update.
Life is strange. I got my 2017 rogue SV in 2019 in a pinch. With 46,000 miles, the former rental only came with front wheel drive. Our relationship started off poorly as it needed new wheel bearings at 77,000 miles. But once the repairs were done, it became a comfortable, dependable and economical ride averaging as much as 35 miles per gallon highway. I drive a lot, and when I hit 130,000 miles I was contacted by my local dealer who is desperate for used car inventory. I got a great deal on the trade and amazingly, moved up one model year to a 2018 model! Except this one has all Wheel drive, Apple CarPlay and a few other bells and whistles that the previous one did not. So goodbye to the 2017 and hello to the 2018. Never thought I’d buy another rogue but here we are! I like the car, it’s comfortable, great storage capacity and good gas mileage. The all wheel drive is the difference maker in wet weather and I’m looking forward to see how it performs this coming winter. Overall, the car won me over. To summarize: I like the ride, the MPG and storage. I was not happy with the early problems when I bought it used, specifically that it needed new wheel bearings at 77,000 miles.

LOVE MY VEHICLE DESPITE A FEW HICCUPS
I bought my 2017 used Nissan Rouge back in March of 18' and I had a 2006 Nissan Altima. I am not going to lie I am a bit of brand loyalist after owning my rock solid Altima which my husband now drives in lei of his 2008 Pontiac G5. Don't get me started about how terrible that vehicle was. I always find great bang for you buck when you buy Nissan's. Seeing as I had not bought a vehicle in ten years or so I was blown away by some of the safety features. Yes the back up camera is not the greatest quality but when your coming from not having anything it does get the job done! I also like the cross-traffic monitoring which detects people as well! The 2017 model does not come with the active break-assist you have to spring for an 18' or up. I have the SV which came with a lot of features for the money! I love the hands free blue-tooth but it does not come with a nav system but you can still use your phone connected via Bluetooth for audio directions. I at times wish I had gotten an SL for the upgraded sound system the factory speakers are better in my Altima!! The other complaint I have is yes it can be sluggish but when you put your foot down the CVT transmission will respond with torque. Also my other issue is the poor visibility at times because of the vehicles large A-pillars on either side of the windshield. I almost did not see a gal in a cross walk when making a left. It really spooked me! The road and outside noise could be improved in this vehicle. Overall I think if you are in the market for a smaller easy to drive SUV at a great price this is it! I forgot to mention how roomy the back seat is! My father is 6'1' and he said he was more than comfortable when seated in the back. I also love the cargo space!

Transmission issues
Love the vehicle. Comfortable, decent gas mileage. Comes with normal, eco, and sport modes. Worst issue was transmission went out at 30,000 miles while on vacation. It was replaced on warranty but Nissan would not pay for hotel or rental car for extended stay. Class action lawsuit got me at 30.00 dollar amazon card and extended warranty to 84,000. Servicing dealership said to service new transmission sooner than required.
