Underrated Bargain!
There is very little I dislike about this SUV. It is the best vehicle I have ever owned and I have owned many...most from new. Great driving position and vision, comfortable seats for long drives, handy and intuitive controls, most key driving aids came standard, great radio and sound system. Great acceleration and traction with all-wheel drive in winter. My only complaint would be road and wind noise which can be intrusive at times depending upon the type of road surface.
Engine and transmission fail before 150k
I first got my Nissan rogue when I had 90,000 miles on it the transmission failed pretty much instantly and then at around 140,000 miles my engine failed even after keeping up with all the maintenance and stuff

My Rogue Ride
My preference is a Nissan love them. I parked 2001 pathfinder with 278,000 miles still running just leaked a lil oil .Purchased the Rogue A bit more stylish and updated great features sunroof, roomy interior and some nice safety features that I experienced a few months of owning A retread from a tractor-trailer hit the front of my car between 75 and 80 miles an hour was able to control the car with the impact not flip the car nor set off the airbags for me that was a win-win. Live my Rogue very happy with it. keep up with your maintenance and you’ll have a Nissan for a long time.

Dealer Maintenance
Door window failed May 2023, $500+ replacement, SAME THING in a year later but now related to wire "corrosion". $1000 wire harness quote. There is a related recall this year but my car was eliminated over total miles, aside from the failing window it's a fire hazard. How's that for looking after the customer? It's shoddy. We also went through a similar early sounding alternator/battery failure a few years ago. I'm skippy Nissan next time. R21B9 So Nissan decides if it's lower "under dash" they will repair at their expense but the rest of the assembly is the consumers risk and expense. I spoke with the National people about the situation and they disqualified my car over total miles. This is fact a fact a safety and fire risk. Do they really believe the wires were assembled differently on the same year and car model?? So according to Nissan I'm on the hook for the very "Wire corrosion" that leads to a drivers side window fail and a potential fire? They showed the photo, all the wires run through the door in the same collective way. So they've nuanced in the R21B9 recall the corrosion happens away from the window itself, where the picture was taken showing actual corrosion? That's a sketchy argument. I'll argue further but I my next car isn't going to be a Nissan or a Rogue.

No more Nissans
I’ve been a very loyal Nissan customer for 30 years. Sentra, Maxima, Pathfinder, Murano & Rogue x 3. Nissan has lost my family’s trust. & business. 2016 Rogue SL transmission failed at 87,000 miles & Nissan consumer affairs said too bad even though we know there’s a known issue with this model. No more Nissans for me.

It’s great until it’s not
2016- 62,000 miles and now it needs a new transmission….
Improved Ride
New tie-rods and swivel bar, new wheels, and 4 continental tires. Dependable with improved gas mileage. Keep on top of CVT maintenance, no real problems @ 87,000 miles.
Rear end
I liked my rogue until the rear end rusted completely out. No rust anywhere else. However the cost factor to replace the rear end was just to much for me. I couldn't believe how cheaply made the rear end was

great car
Do your research on history and performance of vehicle before buying
Good miles on it
The car wasn’t cleaned when I went to test drive it. No 360 view on the camera. Good moonroof and great for the amount of miles on it. I ended up going to a different dealership and got a better Nissan Rogue for a little cheaper and more features came with it...

Couldn't see at night
Recently rented the Nissan Rouge while visiting the Richmond, VA, area. The car was just fine for our group until it got dark. I could not see the pavement at all and not being familiar with the area, would not drive at night for remainder of the trip.

I wanted one so bad until I test drove it
I test drove a loaded 2016 Rogue and have to say I wasn't impressed. Ride was ok, but the kicker was the engine. It was very loud, like the car was straining. Drove and bought a 2016 Jeep Cherokee Limited after I drove the Rogue. Much quieter and smoother.

Unbelievable customer service and pricing!!!
I had a great experience at Fontana Nissan. The sales representative Mikhail was very knowledgeable and very understanding of my needs. I previously owned a Mercedes Benz, and using my vehicle only for daily driving, I decided to downsize. Mikhail presented the vehicle to me like I was still in my Mercedes, and felt very comfortable with my purchase. I have never experienced such a positive environment at a dealership before, from the salesman to the managers. The car was perfect for what I needed it for, and had all the options and features that I was looking for in a daily driver. Many thanks again to Mikhail and Fontana Nissan for such a great time, and great deal. I will truly recommend all my family and friends to this dealership!!

Nissan Owners Must Read.
First off any motor company provides GPS, Onstar, Sirius XM servcies, etc. OBVIOUSLY it has a FREE TRIAL and after the trial is over you must PAY for the subscription. The motor companies are including Navigation in their vehicles and OBVIOUSLY if the map needs an update you HAVE TO PAY if you would like your navigation system to be up to date. Is like going to a gas station and wanting free gas, DAaaahhhh. NissanConnect Servcies is not a standard feature in all of the Nissan vehicles and the only way to find out if your vehicle has it is by locating an SOS button near the rearview mirror. If your vehicle don't have the SOS button it DON'T have the Services and is something that can't be added. Dealerships will lie to you to sell you the car and they will say that it have it, when the vehicle don't. The other app that Nissan offers is NissanConnect mobile apps which lets you use Pandora, iHeartRadio and Facebook in the car and Google and Trip Advisor for navigation equipped vehicles. For 2018 vehicles Nissan has introduced APPLE CARPLAY AND ANDROID AUTO which lets you use more apps in the car. Also if you can't create an account for NissanConnect don't keep trying as their system allows only one account per person and will not accept accounts with duplicate information. When you do create the account WRITE YOUR PASSWORD AND THE EMAL so that you don't forget it. AND IF YOU DO FORGET IT and are not sure how to reset it. Call BEFORE YOU MESS EVERYTHING UP. If you need to call Nissan you can call them Monday through Saturday from 8 AM to 12 AM. BEFORE YOU TRY TO DO EVERYTHING ON YOUR OWN, SEEK EXPERTISE HELP and understand that this is technology that can stop working at any moment just like your internet in your home, your cell phone, ect.

2 years and 50,000
I have had this car for almost two years. It’s pretty great!! The price, the gas mileage and the very spacey interior is totally worth it! Exceleration could be better but who cares, I’m not running a race:). This is a great family vehicle! Not the most comfy for a 1,000 mile drive but was horrible. I can not believe I even own a Nissan but she is making me a believer!!

Nice car... until transmission went out at 123k mi
I bought a used 2016 Nissan Rogue SV in 2020 with 53k miles on it. I loved this car and babied this car the past two years. The other day I noticed it was shifting late and jumping RPMS. Took it to a well trusted transmission shop and turns out I am needing to replace the transmission. There is 123,000 miles on this car. My heart broke into a million pieces as I looked through all the recent reviews of the Nissan Rogue and the massive amount of people having transmission issues with this car. This is the first car I have ever bought by myself- first Nissan I have ever owned- and it will be my last. Although the gas milage is great, the car is comfortable to ride in, and has a sleek looking interior and exterior, the transmission issues outweigh the good. I would rather have a ugly looking car that is dependable than this trash Nissan. I do not recommend anyone spending their hard earned money on a Nissan, unless of course you enjoy throwing money away.
