Still...a great SUV!
We bought this 2016 Rogue SV AWD from West Hills Nissan. The sales staff was awesome and the vehicle has surpassed our expectations. I would highly recommend this vehicle and the people at West Hills Nissan when looking for a new or used vehicle.

Car is rusted on the top and NISSAN will not pay
I cant even explain what a bad idea I had to purchase not lease this vehicle! The outside TOP part of my ROGUE is totally rusted and NISSAN says that has no warranty!! GO figure a car that is not even 2 years old and its already rusted!! What does it take for something liek this to be covered. It is clearly a manufacturers problem yet NISSAN will not take responsbility. I can honestly say I will NEVER purchase another NISSAN again!!

Rear lift gate warning system is poor in sound and visibility to driver. After checking/setting height, it opens so I don't hit my head but when it's up to setting I have hit and smashed the lift gate TWICE going into my normal 7' high residential garage. I'm only 6' tall so it was not set at max ht.!!!! I'm not happy! Again I'm not happy! The volume on the lane departure warning needs to be variable so it can be raised louder for people who have different hearing levels!!!! Car needs some kind of front camera so as not to hit a wall when parking! Mileage is no where near combined 30 on sticker!

CVT transmission issues- Vibration
I just bought a 2016 Rogue SL has all the upgrades and looks great. Never noticed any issues on my test drive, but, after several days of driving I noticed the vibration that seems to be coming from the engine area and also effecting the steering wheel as well. The vibration happens mostly in idle and driving 30-40 mile an hour. The feeling I get is of nausea and lighthead when I exit the car. My husband isn’t effected by this vibration so I had to do some research to show that I’m not loosing my mind. I will be calling the Nissan dealer next week and hear what they have to say.

3rd nisaan
Love my Rogue ....First I had a 2011 rogue S model traded it in for a new 2017 Sentra . Totaled my Sentra. ( which by they way would have probably died in any other vehicle ) and bought this used 2016 Rogue SV.I havent had this one very long but have driven it on a LONG trip and back and Loved it . 31 mpg around where I live ( APP Mountains of NC) But I do drive like a normal person . NOT like a drag racer.Very solid . ONLY down fall is phone system could be updated. Heres praying this one will be as good as the others .Will update.....OK so driven the Vehicle now about 20 thousand miles and so far so good still love it but truly the phone system could need some help and the heat/air system keeps going from recirculated to fresh all bu itself .. they say this normal but I am not convinced. We Will SEE ......

Bad
Purchased the car with 37000 miles and now has 52000 miles. Since then have had to replace catalytic converters, upper and lower control arms, front struts, tire rods, and brakes. The car still drives horribly, the A Pillar has almost caused multiple accidents, it takes bumps terribly and bounces multiple times after one depending on the severity. Every time you start the car it sounds like someone’s shaking a bag of bolts for a couple seconds. Recently had tires rotated and the guy told me tire rods are bad and need to be replaced again. Transmission is clunky and feels horrible. This car is a piece of garbage and I wouldn’t recommend to anyone unless you got it for free.

Made in USA no nonsense AWD
I started my sales carrier with Nissan in 1995. Ended up with Mercedes in 2017. Trust me... My 2005 Xterra would perform as well as the 2017 GL450. Mercedes Benz will always be number ONE. No other manufacturer will come even close to company that invented first car, first motorcycle, ABS, air bags, etc... but Nissan Rogue is simply a perfect urban family vehicle. I have to admit, that the CVT blew my mind when the Murano came out with it. I was skeptical at first... no feeling of gears shifting automatically? Weird! Rogue has it all...seriously...ALL THAT YOU AND YOUR FAMILY NEEDS...comfort, ample cargo space, reliability, looks, sound, fuel economy, simplicity... just take one for a test drive. YOU WILL BUY IT :)

A nice vehicle with a few flaws
The transmission leaves a lot to be desired. Under low power acceleration, it behaves likes a conventional CVT. But for some reason Nissan added shift points, so it has discrete "shifts", instead of hitting one RPM and letting the CVT do its thing. Goofy. Other than that, its a pretty cool ride.

Nissan ought to be ashamed!
My stepson purchased a new 2016 Nissan Rogue in 2016 - it is now 1 month after they made their last payment on the car - then riding down the turnpike to see his wife's family for Xmas the car died...turns out to be the transmission....to repair it will be $5,000 and since it is a little over 100,000 miles on the odometer it is not under - what we found out recently is a class action suite against Nissan...no transmission on a modern car should fail within 5 years of ownership.
like you're riding on air
great crossover SUV. good gas mileage and easy to drive. only drawback is interior space is limited. Seats 5 comfortably but the cargo space is limited. there is a rack up top which is convienent

Rogueish quality review
This car is packed with new concepts in safety , performance, and hospitality details. They are hard to get used to, and with some lifestyles, maybe not required. If you like "simple", consider lesser equipped vehicles and save money.

The BEST BIRTHDAY GIFT EVER!!!!!
This is an amazing vehicle, we shopped around via Edmunds, narrowed it down to 3 dealers. We went to 2 dealerships, one had a great vehicle but a lot of nicks and indentations, so happy we went during the day, because the salesman overlooked them all and seemed surprised by my pointing these damages out.....moved right along to the next dealer with the 2nd best lowest mileage and made the purchase. We love it!!! My Husband is the absolute best, happy wife, happy life!!! I’ll recommend Edmunds to everyone! This is a great service & all the dealers are very responsive!

Not as impressed as I thought I would be
For me the best part of this vehicle is the gas mileage. Not one complaint about that. I'm tall with long legs and wish the front seat went back further. What drives me crazy is that the front door does not unlock unless the engine is turned off. I was used to a vehicle that would unlock when put in park. I bought this vehicle as a left over and have had it for two years putting 25,000 miles on it. So far the text messaging that would come through has stopped working and several times I have had to go through and pair the cell and phone book. The driver's side headlight would go out, then come back on. I took it to the dealer twice and was finally fixed when they found a short. Now, after only 25,000 miles I have had to have an alignment! Time to shop for a different vehicle and it won't be a Nissan Rogue!

Nissan rogue
I really like it. It is gas economy
Do Not Buy
I bought my 2016 Rogue new off the lot. It ran really well until around 60,000 miles when it started having trouble shifting into gear when I stopped. It was just outside of warranty when I took it in and the transmission was failing. I babied this car and always took it in when it needed and got the recommended tune-ups at the appropriate mileage. Nissan ended up paying for half of the new transmission but I had to pay the rest. Currently looking at other options before this happens again as they seem to do.

After 1000 miles I ALMOST wanted to buy one
I rented a 2016 Rogue for a week and after 1000 miles I almost wanted to get one... almost. It's the best handling suv/crossover I've driven. It truly felt like a sport sedan. I have never been a fan of Nissan's CVT but on this vehicle it's fantastic; though the car itself feels under-powered with the 4-cylinder under hard acceleration, it is on par with its competitors. The power you give up for fuel mileage is absolutely worth it. I drove all over southern California from LA traffic to the mountains of Yosemite, and averaged just over 30 mpg. This is AMAZING for a 'spirited' driver like myself. I even managed 40 mpg on a 150 mile stretch driving conservatively. The handling and fuel mileage were absolutely enough to consider buying this car. The only major issue was how uncomfortable the seats were. Very stiff and not supportive (no lumbar adjustment!?), which led to back pain flaring up. When I sat in my own car the day after returning from my trip it was the biggest relief. Fantastic value especially if you find a low mileage used one, but not for me.

Buyer beware
Bought a 2016 Rogue brand new- from day one the brakes make a loud clanking sound when stopping the vehicle. Have had it to the dealership 5 times for this issue. Brake pads were replaced 3 times in the past 4 years as well as the rear hardware kit and calipers. Nothing has fixed the noise. I contacted Nissan consumer complaints department and was told by the regional manager that this is a normal feature of the 2016 model. Never had this issue with any other vehicle I owned in the past. Beware when considering your purchase. I wish I would have known this- I would have taken my business and my money elsewhere. I will never buy another Nissan product.
A Great SUV
I love it. There are 2 things it need: an extra USB port & auto start. I loooove my Rogue!

Just trade-in this garbage, no more Nissan
Original owner, the collision sensor always pack up even had nothing surrounded, already replaced two alternator and two batteries, after replace the whole set of engine camshaft but the engine light still comes up sometimes with the same code, after AC failed, then give up. Quality not too good.
Horrible technology
Nissan Connect might be the worst app ever conceived. Nissan insists it is a very good system and must be my phone that is the problem. Finally Amanda, who claims to be there had person at Nissan Connect, stated it wasn't there phone but that I have installed the updates from Apple. Nissan apparently expects you to not update your phone and risk it not working properly so you can use Nissan Connect, which is at least 8-10 updates behind Apple. Amanda claimed Nissan Connect is great system but had no answer for why they would switch to Car Play if it was so good.

Noisy cabin / Cheap body
The base model Rogue has a noisy cabin especially on the interstate. The body isn't heavy enough when passing trucks or during a windy day. It's shaky. The rear seat has a narrow fit when trying to buckle the seat. The suspension is a little extra bouncy when driving over railroad tracks or a bumpy road.

Ok for community
Can't used cheaper gas or it takes 60 dollars to fuel up the tank here in California is not big saver
40000 Mile Service
The only complain I have is there is an awful lot of wasted space due to panel design in the rear of the vehicle. This really limits loading capacity. Looks big on the outside but not on the inside. Drives great, good feel and comfortable. Great Gas Mileage in town or on the freeway. Lots of pickup.
Drivers seat molding problems
I have 2016 SL rogue. My drivers side molding on the side of my seat has broken twice. The piece is latched onto the bottom and is very cheaply made. Im very frustrated. They told me they fixed it while it was under warranty but it's broken again! I dont think they did it right the first time...ugh
City Dweller
Great view of the road. Economic operation. The only negative is the gas fill is on the passenger side.

I generally like my 2016 Rogue. It has plenty of power, drives and handles well. However, it is cursed with Nissan’s horrible CVT transmission.

Terrible from day 1
This car has been a problem from the very beginning. I have had multiple things replaced at less than 50,000 miles that normally are not replaced at all, or should last well above 100,000 miles. The most recent problem I am having is the body is literally falling apart from the car. It is separating. I’ve taken it to the dealer and they told me yes we know it’s a problem, but you should’ve brought it in under 35,000 miles. At this point I’m just going to get rid of it and get something else.
Commonwealth Nissan, best place to get a Rogue
I recently purchased a 2017 Rogue SV and couldn't be happier with both the car as well as the sales staff. Lauren Goodridge, Lamar McLaughlin and Braham Perez were a pleasure to work with and made everything extremely easy.

As i said
Great overall car. Gas mileage and and value for the money. I drove other cars such as the RAV4, CRV but rouge has more space and better gas mileage then the other two. I think the CVT should be work on to better give the car performance.

Upgraded and loving it!
I've had my 2016 almost 2 weeks. HUGE difference from my 2012. More driver/front room and rear passenger room. Love that there is a place for my cell to rest and the bluetooth option to answer calls while driver. Added Pandora with ease. Rear passenger ac and hear vents and more cup holders. Another great feature is that the rear seats recline and are individually adjustable. Great acceleration along with a smooth and more comfortable drive and ride. This is the first time i've ever purchased the same model vehicle and i am a satisfied owner.

it works for us...
no remote starter for this vehicle, if you were to install a third party remote starter, it will void the warranty. Does not really hold up to the mileage to the gallon of gas as they advertised.
