Pathfinder helped us find our path.
In January 2017, we bought this vehicle used (approx 7200 miles at the time) and was replacing our 2005 Pathfinder. Waited 1-year and 1 long road trip to write this review. For overall daily use, this vehicle is great and has served us well (regular family of 4 stuff (2 kids)). Would take day-trips for our daughter's high school band competitions throughout the spring and fall semesters and has performed well in those situations. Our real test came in Dec 2018 in taking a road trip from northern California to Iowa for the Holidays (approx 2000 miles over 2.5 days there and then 1.5 weeks later, approx 2000 miles over 3 days back). This vehicle handled the mountain passes (interstate roads) great and the long days of traveling (approx 10-12 hours driving time per day). We averaged about 23-24 mpg for the whole trip. The convenience features really served us well, especially the remote-start where it heats up the inside when it was very cold outside. Navigation was very good and got us to where we needed to. We noticed however, the estimated time of arrival seems to be greatly over-estimated because over the day, we shaved off almost 1.5 hours each day. Perhaps it's meant to over-estimate based on actual speed limit of the roads versus one's actual rate of speed. The only negative with the navigation is to have better integration with our phones (android and apple) versus having to use the Nissan navigation. But we do have the Nissan Connect Services (NCS) app so we can directions directly to the vehicle (along with remote-start, remote lock-unlock, and other vehicle alerts and maintenance updates). The NCS app also offers alerts, if you set it up, for vehicle speed limits, find my vehicle, and boundary alert if the vehicle goes further than a specified boundary (for example, if you valet park your vehicle). There is an option to send directions from google maps to the car, not in NCS app, that I have not been able to get working, but haven't had to bring it in to learn or fix what I may be doing wrong since we manage maps/navigation as stated before with NCS and manually entering directions in the vehicle. Overall, a great vehicle and so far, great reliability that was able to handle a 4,000 mile road trip to get may family safely back home.

Pay the extra for a toyota
The interior is black, it looks worn with only 45,000 miles, headlights have been replaced under warranty due to moisture issues. Rear view camera gets stuck on sometimes. Antifreeze odor in engine compartment dealer says is normal. Engine continues to run at 1200 rpm when trying to stop, Nissan found no problem but it makes stopping a task. Drivers door pops, loose hinge fixed under warranty. Heat doesn’t blow very well in front. Ac compressor vibrates and is noisy. Driver seat malfunctioned with seat reclining on its own. Nissan you got me once but never again.

Great SUV
I use to wotk for Nissan and after years of going back and forth with the wife about her van...now I own what I consider a well built car. I've owned mine for about a year, it's got great acceleration. That and being teamed up with the CV trans which just builds torque with no shifting is unbelievable. I have done some towing and had no issues with lack of power. I bought the SL trim package which has extra USB ports, towing, and front and second row heated seats plus more. The pathfinder had some redesigning done which actually makes it more appealing. The ride I consider very smooth but getting use to the location of some of the creature/comfort features will take some time. The audio is great, 13 speaker Boss system, Nissan always seemed to put good stereos in their vehicals. So far this SUV is great! I would highly recommend the Nissan Pathfinder to anyone looking for a well built vehicle for a great price.

Apple a day doesn't.......
My previous comments still apply....While other models of 2018 has Apple CarPlay, the Pathfinder does not. My wife's 2018 Honda Accord has Apple CarPlay, It is a snap to use use, convenient, accurate, easy to use, everything the Nissan navigation system is lacking. one other negative; Cargo space with 3rd row seats up, is woeful ( luggage rack crossbars should've been standard). I have had four other Pathfinders since 1988 - all great vehicles. Now for the good news. Excellent mileage, comfortable, easy and fun to drive. Front and second seats plenty of room, and love the tilt down side mirrors feature when backing up, and my wife is all for the heated steering wheel. Plenty of towing power - everything one would expect in a Pathfinder. So, if you have patience for the navigation system and cargo space it's not a factor, this is a great car and except for the lack of AppleCar Play, I be hard pressed not to buy it again. Cargo space can't be changed. Crossbars could have at least be discounted, but...no big deal Love the car - not happy that AppleCar Play at least not an option.
