Used 2002 Nissan Pathfinder SUV Consumer Reviews
An excellent *sport* *utility* vehicle
An excellent vehicle with lots of towing power. Has better acceleration with our 3500lb boat than our last vehicle had without the boat. Very strong and smooth engine, no other vehicle compares in this category. Wish it was a little bigger and had load leveling in the rear - the back suspension is a little soft. Back seat doors are a little tough to get in & out. After 12000 miles I'm still very happy with my carefully made decision. Comfortable - decent trip vehicle. Stock tires hydroplane easily.
First Pathfinder
I tried the Explorer, Grand Cherokee, and others (even the non- truck SUVs,these are fine if you don't need the capabilities of a truck). I found the Pathfinder SE to be the best overall value (excellent reliabilty record was a big factor). The build is solid and of high quality. I have had it 3 weeks and I like it more each time I drive it. $1000 under invoice and 0.9 financing didn't hurt, either!
great suv, but....
This has been a great vehicle so far. Gas mileage is terrible though. I got the fully loaded suv with the navigation system, and entertainment system. The bose sound system in this model w/ the navigation is weak. The entertainment is neat though. overall a good vehicle. Power is great, and it will keep up with or beat mustangs w/ v6's.
Best SUV
This is the best SUV for the money. I had a number of GM SUVs and the Nissan quality is superior. Great power, quiet, and stylish. Only real drawback is the gas mileage. The resale value is also outstanding compared to any American SUV. For a few thousand more, get the LE - the added features are well worth it. I'm sold on Nissans.
The Best SUV u can get
I just purchased a 2002 Pathfinder SE 2wd, Bronzed Grey. The ride is spectacular. I've test drove other suv's. I.e. Rodeo, 30 less hp. Truck like ride. 4runner, same thing, overpriced, slow 183hp engine. Highlander, Waaayyy too expensive, and only 220hp, FWD. I love everything about this car.
