Used 2002 Nissan Maxima Consumer Reviews
Best Bang for the Buck
I simply love this car. It clearly has the most options of any car in its class and in some instances in the luxury class. Of course, once you jump up to the luxury class (BMW, Audi, Lexus, etc.), you are paying for the name. Best value for a car given all the options and the performance
Stabbin''
I love this car. The horsepower is great. It gets to 100 in no time at all.
Maxima!
The car is very impressive thus far - feels solid - you can really feel the horsepower while also being incredibly comfortable in ALL the seats. Tons of leg room and it seems as if they thought of everything. Definitely the best car I've ever driven.
Solid car, great performance
I've only had this car a matter of days, but my wife has one so I have a better idea of what it is and what it can do. It's a sporty family car with lots of power and conservative styling and functionality. It's got very good overall performance with acceleration a prominent feature. My wife's 2000 has been very reliable through 109,000 miles.
2002 Black on Black SE 6M
This is a great car fun to drive. Gas mileage is pretty good. It requires premium gas at least 91 octane. I used 87 octane and the car sounded like a diesel engine. Not good! Spend the little extra money and use premium and the car will run a lot better. This is my 2nd Maxima. I previously owned a 94 Maxima GXE, kept it til 235,000 miles and everything still worked. I plan to do the same with this car. Everything is laid out pretty nice and easy to use, Bose stereo sounds w/sub really great. Ride is a bit rough on bumpy roads, but it's an SE with sports suspension. GLE I suppose will have a better ride, but you can't beat the handle on the SE with 6sp gear box. Which rare car to find!
