LOVE IT!!
We call it the Coffee Bean for it`s brown color. Been driving it for almost 3 years. Can't wait to get a 2019. We need the range. We live 40 miles from the major city in our area and a round trip in the winter requires a charge to get home . We just want that bigger battery. It's an SL. We love the leather, sound system and the way it drives. Just love it!!!

Range anxiety
Only had the car a week now but the range anxiety is High. Nissan advertised that the Leaf can charge on your standard house 110 Vac outlet - they don't tell you it takes 22 hours! Charging station readily available - They don't tell you that most are 32 AMP and can take up to 5 hours for a full charge (About 25 miler of charge per hour), High rate charges can charge about 70% in 45 Minunts (But try to find a DC chatger that is working or availble is the challenge). So far it cost me $975 to have a 50 AMP service installed into my garage and $649 for a Faster charger. I love the car, nice ride but the range anxiety is kicking my A$$! Side note, you would think a 150 watt inverter would be included in a EV, my Ford CMax had one that I used all the time (Sorry ford stoped making the CMax). The other thing is Nissan advertisers 218 to 228 miles per charge, what they don't tell you is that Nissan recommend a 80% charge (192 Miles). If you don't drive much, 5 Stars but if your using the car for a self employed business - poor choice. My cutoff was when the car could get 200 to 225 miles on a charge, my sewwt spot. Yes 192 is close but they advertised 218 to 225 not 30 miles less! Nick in Arizona (Home Inspector)

Deceptive Range on Highway
I would buy the Leaf again only if: - The EVGo fast-charging stations (including dealer) within 2-5 miles of their home - The dealer have a fast charger installed. I would not buy the Leaf from a dealer without fast charger installed. Also, they should know that Leaf is a city commuter car. The range is severely downgraded for highway driving. On my recent trip from Irvine to San Diego (90 mile) at night (10PM), I drove the Leaf 2018 was fully charged (150 mile range) on Eco mode with no AC and no traffic jam but it consumes 120 miles. I was Deeply disappointed. Please Tell me How and where to relate this range problem to Nissan.

Amazing BANG for the BUCK
The 2nd gen Nissan Leaf is an amazing car and more amazing value. Many compare the 40kw Leaf to the Model 3 but the truth is, they are not even close to the same price. With the dealer discount and full $7500 tax credit, a Leaf can easily be had for low to mid $20k’s out the door factoring in the tax credit and some negotiating skills. My advice would be get the SV trim to get the standard quick charger, upgraded 17” rims, leather steering wheel, and 7” center display with Apple CarPlay (S model has no Apple CarPlay and 5” screen). An S with quick charge package is essentially the same price as the base SV. I sprung for the Technology and All Weather packages (both of which I highly recommend but not really “needs”). Nissan still has to figure out the right pricing for the Plus model since that is a tough sell against the Model 3 given the price increase over the standard Leaf, but the 40kw Leaf is an amazing value. No gas, no maintenance, no brainer!

Stupendous!
Just purchased a 2019 Nissan Leaf SV, gun metallic trim, and I absolutely love the car. I don’t like to get out of the car, which explains how much I love it. I love the fact that you hear nothing when you push the button to start the electric motor. The ride is very smooth and enjoyable. If someone is willing to pay from $32,000 to $40,000 for a car, the Leaf is an absolute no brained!! In New York State, you get a $2,000 rebate off the price, a $7,500 federal tax credit, and can use HOV Lanes in Long Island, and easily charge it at home or a plethora of charging stations. Most importantly, the car will help to reduce global warming. It makes no sense to get a different car in that price range, in my opinion.
