Used 2008 Nissan Frontier Crew Cab Consumer Reviews
Best yet
This is my forth pick up truck and second crew cab in 12 years. I had a B2200, Sonoma, Canyon and now the Frontier. While they were all good vehicles this one is by far the best. I did a lot of research and a lot of test drives before making the decision. The Toyota and the Dodge were both good but not quite good enough. I found the Frontier had more get up and go. Gas mileage is pretty standard. We have 20k and 9 months under our belt. The interiors were also very close. I am not sure what Auto reviewers have against hard plastic interior finishes but in the real world they work very well. This is probably the best all round vehicle for anyone balancing work and family.
Excellent underrated truck
Great truck for the money. I have had two Tacomas, a GMC, and a Ford in the past 3 years. Nissan impressed me the most. It is not a perfect truck, but it is better than most. I has more power than a Tacoma, but not as much back seat room (in a crew cab). It gets respectable mileage, has excellent handling, and comes with well done factory options (spray in bedliner, utilitrack system).
2008 Nissan Frontier Excellent Mid-Size Truck!!
I bought this 2008 Nissan Frontier LE 4WD CC 6ft bed brand new and recently sold it in 2018 (kept it 10 years). I've owned Toyotas (1994, 2004) before and I have to say that they are pretty comparable, in terms of performance and reliability. The Nissan had excellent power and decent fuel economy for the 4.0 liter V-6. The low-end torque is fantastic, I was never feeling like it was underpowered. The transmission was very smooth shifting and dependable, no problems whatsoever. The 4wd system, especially with the active electronic limited slip system (which even works in 4WD), worked flawlessly. Whether it was snow, mud, off-road trails, etc. my Frontier handled it like a champ. The combination of it's modest size and weight really helped. The design of the Frontier is really well-thought out as well. The Utili-Trak system with the moveable tie-down cleats and optional bed extender were super useful during the 10 years I owned this truck. The comfort and convenience features of the truck were fantastic. Keep in mind, this was a 10 year old truck, so it can't compare to today's trucks that have many more safety, entertainment and creature comforts. But for it's timeframe, Nissan did a great job giving us plenty of great features. The only reason I finally sold my Frontier is because my kids (who were little when I bought it back in 2008) grew up and I had to get a full-size crew cab truck. Otherwise, I'd still have the Nissan today.

Frontier vs. Tacoma
I really wanted the Tacoma but after driving both trucks I could not justify the difference in price. The Frontier is a very solid truck and I'm really glad that I checked it out before making a decision. My wife likes to drive the Frontier and she did not like to drive the full sized truck we had before. Very cool and fun truck with plenty of room inside as well as in the bed.
Great truck
Perfect vehicle for someone who needs a work truck and family vehicle at the same time. Not too big, not too small. Rides great.
