Used 1994 Nissan Altima Consumer Reviews
great car!!!
I have thoroughly enjoyed this car for its design, both asthetically, and mechanically. Having done most of my own repairs on this vehicle I have been impressed with its consumer- friendly design. I look forward to driving another Nissan in the future!
Solid, reliable and fun to drive.
I bought my Altima with 79,000 miles on it in 2000. She has never given me any problems whatsoever. These cars were built solid and maintain great value over the years. My only complaint is about the hubcaps which fall off easily and often. The alloy wheels would have been the move!
broken again?
I purchased this Nissan about 18 months ago with slightly less than 100K miles on it. The first day I had it the alternator broke. 3 months later the starter went bad. I had a nice break for about 10 months, but after that the distributor broke. 3 months later the alternator broke again. 2 months after I had the alternator fixed, the cables for the alternator broke(this was probably the initial problem when my 2nd alternator went, but I still was charged $300 for a new alternator.) I purchased the car for $4600 and have already put at least $2500 into it in just a year and a half.
It's a keeper!
I've had my SE for eight years, and although I've had to replace some normal wear-and-tear items (alternator, belts, CV boots, engine mounts), the car has given me consistently good service all this time. The a/c is outstanding! Acceleration is quite good, and the general comfort level is quite nice. It came fully equipped, including power sunroof, fog lights & rear spoiler. Only things missing are leather and power seats. It still has the original radio/cassette, but I did upgrade all four speakers and added a 12-CD changer. Also replaced 15" factory wheels with custom 16" rims. This car is good to go!
