Used 1991 Nissan 240SX Consumer Reviews
240sx vs. Saab 9-3 hatchback
I recently test drove a Saab 9-3 4-door, as a potential family car replacement for my beloved 240. Although the Saab was very fast, it did not handle anything like my 240. A sharp swerve reviels a boat-like quality in the Saab vs. a riding-on-rails feel for the 240. The 240 is also much friendlier at highway speeds that the Saab. The 240's hatch is also much more usable (easier to fold-down seats).
Great car , great engine,
I love the Super Hikas Rear Wheel turning, its great taking sharp turns at 70.
Great little sports car!
Well, I hit 300k miles and the engine finally died (thrown rod). Original transmission still works, no major repairs were ever needed. I replaced the starter several years ago and a couple brake rotors. That's it! very reliable and zippy car. I'm ready to put in a new engine and start all over again!
This car rocks
I bought this car for the price, but after i drove it, i realized how lucky i was to have bought it. The handling is out of this world, and it never breaks down. My dad has one too and it has never broken down in the 11 years that he has owned it. I love this car and you will too.
I can't bring myself to sell it
I've taken my '91 240 from 80K to 300,000km - replaced only the clutch, starter and alternator. I drive it very hard but it runs as smooth as the day I bought it. It runs even better with premium fuel - which is only about 6 tanks per year.
