Great Value. I’d Buy One
I rented a Outlander Limited (fleet only model? Equivalent of an SEL model I’d guess) for 4 days and about 500 miles of combined highway and city. I keep wondering why the press is so negative about this vehicle. The ride and acceleration are good. Interior materials are fine. Third row seat is small and cramped for and adults but would be fine for kids under eight years old. Gas mileage is excellent for a small suv (got around 30 MPH) If I was in the market I’d buy one considering it’s about 25 percent cheaper than a comparably priced RAV4 or CR-V. My only issue is with its CVT transmission. When the engine is cold. It’s searches for the correct gear at highway speeds. After a few minutes it adjusts to the right gear. The audio interface is a little funky but I figured it out. Apple Car Play would be a good upgrade I was surprisingly happy with the Outlander.

Spontaneous rear side body indentations develop.
This summer unique indents have developed in upper section of both rear quarter panels between each side window and rear hatch opening for no apparent reason. Their nature and possible cause is now under investigation by the Waverly MITSIBUSHI Dealership staff. Other than the unusual extreme heat this summer, it’s 14K km have been by routine city driving and regular hiway travel to our summer cottage.

Never Mitsubishi
Since we purchased vehicle in the beginning of April 2019 it was about 5 times in the service. The first problem was defected engine control unit that cause the car battery to drain. We could not even open the car. The next issue was leaking sunroof that have been repaired twice. And I’m not sure if it’s final repair. The case manager from the Mitsubishi headquarters seems did not care that we are having such issues with the new car. We completely unsatisfied with the dealership and the service provided. They sold defected car and nobody care, neither the dealership nor the manufacture. I never had such bad experience before. Never Mitsubishi.
