Don’t Believe the Poor Reviews
I rated the car based on comparable cars. Firstly, when it comes to this car get the manual transmission or don’t bother. You need to be able to put the revs where you want them to get the most out of this engine. Most CVT transmissions are garbage anyway. Secondly, someone mentioned the car hydroplaned easy. The stock tires do great in rain and snow … when they have tread. They wear out incredibly fast for as expensive as they are. I had to change mine at 28,000 and prob should of changed them sooner. The ones I switched to don’t do as well in the rain but as long as I’m not speeding it’s not an issue. I’ve passed 4wd Jeeps in the snow (because people don’t know how to drive). As long as the snow isn’t 6 inches deep you’ll get where you’re going. The car is cheap, but I would buy it again in a heartbeat. It’s comfortable, has all the amenities I require, AMAZING gas mileage. I often am not easy on the gas pedal and still averaging 44mpg over the life of the car so far. All my complaints are super minor, for example, the car doesn’t easily go into gear when it’s cold out until it warms up, which is annoying. Also, I’ve twice cut my finger opening the glovebox because there’s some piece of metal that my fingers hit if I stick them way in there.

Tiny Titan
It's been a fine car for me and my girl. It got us through winter in the Midwest when my GMC Sierra couldn't with fresh tires . My Mpg best 51(highway) with both of us in it we are not tiny or light either.

My 4th Mirage in 6 years!!
It's not the most refined car, the pickup is decent but not earth shattering. However the 38.2 MPG's that I average and a low monthly car payment make it a pleasure to own. The SE has a nice push button start with keyless entry and very nice LED lights with automatic daytime running headlights and the heated seats are great in the winter. Very solid car and extremely economical.

Don't believe the Mirage reviews that berate this
It is refreshing to see there is still a practical vehicle left in the US auto market. The negative reviews on the Mitsubishi Mirage are extremely ignorant. There is nothing not to like about the Mirage. It is quality built, reliable, plenty of power, roomy, comfortable seating, and extremely fuel efficient. It is the last of its kind in the US auto market. The negative reviews needlessly hurt the Mitsubishi automaker.

Mitsubishi never disappoints!
My 2024 Mirage is the third Mitsubishi that I have owned. I get a kick out of all of the 'experts' reviewing the Mirage and beating it up. I am convinced, over the years, that Mitsubishis will never get satisfactory reviews because they are not built in America. All of these automotive publications are in bed with the UAW, and they have a vested interest in badmouthing any manufacturer who steers clear of the crazy labor costs and subpar quality of the American unskilled laborer. This Mirage is cheap transportation, not a mini-van, race car or off-roader. It serves its purpose well and is reliable and durable. The Thai and Japanese still take pride in build quality.
