2017 mirage ES
Bought a salvaged 2017 Mirage ES. Light front end damage that was repaired but was a salvage title. The 3 cylinder is peppy and will keep up at 70-75 MPH in WI roads. Put aftermarket rims & tires on and it is a great 5 passenger (3 kids in back seat) vehicle. I’m 5’9” 200 lbs & Wife 5’4” 270.lbs. All loaded with the kids we still get around great! Put video headsets for kids & drove to MS and back & got 45MPG average at 70-75MPH. Almost as good as the Prius.

the only subcompact sold in the US ! (why?)
great little car! totally misunderstood by most americans. there are many great small cars in Europe and Asia but most of them never make it to the US. a real competitor to the Mirage would be the Kia Picanto. Hopefully , Kia decides to bring this little gem to the US market. Also, many great small cars by Citroen,Ford , Peugeot, VW and Renault are on European streets. But, i have no problem keeping up in traffic with my Mirage. and , i get 44 mpg on the highway.

Mirage YES
I bought a 2017 Mirage G4 5 years ago and it has been the most reliable car I have owned in 33 years of Buick, Ford, Chrysler, Dodge and Nissan. I have had to fix nothing on it, and am now at 40k miles. We needed a second good car, so I picked up the 2019 Mirage ES hatchback. It is a great vehicle, good price, comfortable, quiet, and GREAT on gas. When buying a car, I NOW always look for the best warranty and the best gas mileage. I am surprised by the negative reviews I see and them suggesting buying another brand, mainly because the ones listed that are supposedly BETTER, do not come with the standard by Mitsubishi 5 year 50k mile warranty. I always buy used with low mileage, and from a dealer. Not only did this one come with low mileage 9k, and 3 years 41k miles left on the factory warranty, but Mitsubishi extended the warranty to 6 years from the date I purchased it and 100k miles for $1800. No interest if paid in 12 months. They delivered it with all the paperwork to sign, to my driveway. Even my 21 year old son, who hates to drive, loves this vehicle. I HIGHLY suggest you consider this if you are looking for a reliable work car, like I do, that uses minimal gas, and you like to travel. I can drive to see my daughter in Ohio from Texas round trip on $160 worth of gas (currently priced at almost $3 a gallon.) The rear seat flips down, unlike the regular compact Mitsubishi, the trunk is deep and holds a lot, it has a back up camera (for those who are challenged when it comes to moving backwards) a touchscreen radio, cruise control (best for travel) and Bluetooth for handsfree (a discount on car insurance).

Love My Mirage
Bought my Mirage new in 2017 and the love affair continues. I am still getting in excess of 45 mpg with minimum of maintenance; tires oil changes, and a transmission fluid flush. After my parents died, I was hauling their belongings from Texas to Georgia and was amazed at how much I could load into the hatch with no reduction in mpg or acceleration. Have driven my Mirage in the Rocky Mountains and the car handled mountain passes beautifully. My only complaint is the radio which has worked erratically from day one.
