Used 2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor Consumer Reviews
Mits
This is a nice vehicle, don't get me wrong, but don't go from a full size V8 SUV to this . I miss the power of my old vehicle although I love the styling- and radio-in this one. Very upset by the crummy gas mileage-the big V8 Chevy did better.
Hmm, Let's See!
First, I like the interior and probably that is why I bought it.Second, at the beginning I had a problem with differential, was making this noise and you could feel it as well.4 times at the dealer(long story)and I still think it's not fix like it supposed to be.Next, had a problem with the sunroof (was leaking),3 times at the dealer.Next,I have a problem with getting this "Service Enging Soon" light,4 times at the dealer and still comming up.Also, as you know, Endeavor's tank should be filled with high octane gas.If you try to put regular(87 or 89)the engine is not working properly.I will be going for service AGAIN with the Servie Engine Soon.

gas hog
I have a 2004 awd ls model. over all great suv. A little disapointed in the performance in snow!felt it did not get very good traction when in a turn, it had a tendency to loose tracion and slide very easy. This automobile gets rotten fuel economy and I am still trying to figure out why a v6 engine needs to run on 91 octane or higher? Big disapointment here with high test in the midwest at 2.26a gal.
Good vehicle...fix mpg
I bought my Endeavor in March. I have had no problems with it, but the gas mileage stinks! I took it to Mitsu and they denied the problem. I average about 14 mpg in town. I would like to see the 17 it was rated for. I do get 20mpg on highway, thank goodness. Also, the valves do "clack" with mid-grade gas. Performance seems unaffected but it really does need the high grade. There is such mixed comments on this that I wonder if we have two different batches oof SUV. Also, of note, I'm 5'4" and I have to have a "booster" to see out. For short people, I would recommend the power seats to increase your heighth.
Endeavor's Advantages & Disadvantges
Excess oil usage, adds approx 1 1/2 quarts between oil changes, discovered blue smoke coming from tailpipe, dealership unable to pinpoint problem, averages approx 17 miles on the highway. However, smooth ride, very comfortable & fun to drive, but concerned about reliability, will trade- in after 2 years.
