Wish I Never Sold It
Bought this van used and put 75000 miles on it in 3 years. Sold it when it reached 115000 miles, and replaced it with a 2005 Chrysler Touring. The Mercury was a much better vehicle - especially in the ride comfort department. The Mercury rode quiet and solid. The Chrysler is noisy and you feel every bump in the road. The only complaint with the Mercury was that it was underpowered with a 3.2 (?) engine.
A good Villager
This has been a good van, commodious and reliable. It easily carries us, two dogs and luggage to Florida each year. It has been easy to maintain and has been back to the dealer only for routine service for the most part.

great family car but after 10 years swap
I have loved my Villager ever since we got it used ( with 17000) miles on it back in 2001. But this year has been a nightmare. It has 89000 miles on it now. Everything has gone wrong & we have dumped over $5000.00 in it over the last 8 months ( towed 4 times) and thinking that "hopefully this will be the last repair". My advise...when any car first produces a $1500. repair bill...sell it & get something else because chances are it will be the beginning of a long line of repair bills. can't afford it anymore but can't afford anything else either-ha !
Great Driving
The van has been an exceptionally great vehicle. Just before the warranty expired we had to replace both headlight harnesses because of electrical faults. The radio & clock display just failed as well as most of the instrument lights on the ETC air conditioner control. The bulbs for the A/c control are not available at the dealer. The radio display has not been repaired because of the great cost.
Perfect vehicle for imperfect families
A handsome package, flexible, capable and about the only "mini" van that can comfortably carry SIX passengers in comfort up&down I-5 without a mutiny.
