Best I've owned
Bought Villager used with 22,000 miles. Only problem was sticking gas pedal and normal maintenance until 110,000 miles. Since then have replaced front ball joints and driver's side window control unit. Currently the tachometer is sticking. Get 20 mpg around town and 22 mpg on the highway with the 6 cylinder engine. With over 120,000 miles still runs perfect, burns no oil, and passes smog with flying colors.
1999 Villager Sport
Excellent vehicle for a small family. Compact sport styling and good low end response make driving around town a pleasure. Comfortable ride and well appointed interior. Removable second row buckets and sliding rear seat make it easy to create a larger cargo volume. Very satisfied with choice to date.

OK I GUESS
Bought the van for my wife and she likes it. I however am 6'3" tall and can tell that it was designed by the Japanese (Nissan). I have to bend in half to get in and have no headroom or leg room and do not like to drive it for very long. My 2001 Ford Windstar that I drive is 10 times more comfortable for a taller person. Mechanically I have had no real problems but I am a stickler for maint, and do all repairs myself. Had to replace ball joints and a CV axle. Some electrical connecters in lights bad, I see this on Japanese designs alot though. It now has 75000 miles and is reliable and ok to drive if your not tall than 5'8"
Dog on the highway.
Bought this van thinking that i might get better gas mileage than my old Olds Sihlouette. Boy was I wrong. 18 on the highway, 14 in the city. I thought a tune up would help... Nope. did it myself the first time and figured I messed something up. Took it to a reputable shop and had them do it... nope. Took it on a long trip. Great on the straightaways, but if you climb a hill, you have fully loaded tractor trailers up your butt trying to pass you. Also have had to replace the knock sensor TWICE. Having said that, this is the most comfortable car I have ever had. Bells and whistles work great and cargo is good.
Best Purchase Yet
I am thinking of buying another van and as I have been searching, I see these reviews. This is my 2nd villager. We had great luck with our first one and bought this one after our first one was totaled. Bought with 95,000 miles and we now have 150,000 miles on this one and actually just got back from a weekend get away from a destination that is 4 hours from us. We have slight issues, but normal for this many miles. Considering that the Odyssey and Sienna remain high priced when even used, this van is a great buy! By the way, there was 7 of us on this trip, 2 adults, 4 teenagers and one, big for his age, 8 year old. No complaints from them about room.
