Repairs often and Expensive
I did not do my homework with this car. It is a beautiful car and a great ride. However the money I have paid for repairs makes the old wise saying everything that shines is not gold, so true. My suspension has went out twice dropping car to ground. Each repair over $1,500. Tires are over $2,000 and a front headlight was over $250. Now it will not shift gears and sitting in my garage. Buying a Lexus or a car with better warranty and reviews.

Poor workmanship & Dealer service
I have owned Mercedes for the last 40 years, and this car is absolutely the most poorly built and least reliable. All others were fine. With 9500 miles, mine has loud squealing brakes, a backup camera that is unusable due to poor optics, Nav map display "jumps" constantly, worse than my hand held $80 Garmin E-Trex. This is the most irritating item of all, and Map must be turned off at night to prevent annoying distraction. The car pulls rt. on 95% of the roads.

Favorite car I own
This car is simply the most incredible car I have ever driven. It's like a mini version on my '07 Maybach 67. I love this car. I drive it everyday. It haddles like a champ and the fact that the headlights follow the wheel is a big plus. It's one of the best cars I have purchased by far.
Be careful
My wife has/had a 2007 S550 sedan since new - we paid $92,000 for it. Around 75,000 well-maintained miles we began having major problems with it including computer issues, air suspension, struts, power steering, ball joints - and the service at large South Florida Dealer was disgusting let alone incompetent. They only know how to "diagnose" and order new parts but not install them properly - all for $185 per hour Labor. The car has 64 seperate computer systems. I'm fully aware that maintainence is expensive but it should be done correctly. This car was always properly maintained. Maybe it was a LEMON Mercedes and not typical - but be careful with a tech car like this. We just sold it for $7000 cash and are happy to take a DEEP Breath after over $20,000 in repairs the past 5 years alone.

The car that sells itself
Stable and powerfull, especially with added 50 more horse power to the new version. Elegance and prestige born within the car itself. Glad to be the first ones to own one and looking forward to see more on the road.
