2024 Mercedes-Benz Maybach EQS SUV Trims Comparison

Which 2024 Maybach EQS SUV trim does Edmunds recommend?

With just one trim level, there's not much to recommend. But what fun would a stock Maybach be? In that spirit, we'd take our EQS 680 SUV and add the mini-fridge to keep the cheese and caviar cold, the folding tables to enjoy said delicacies on the move, and the Nappa leather upgrade to better sleep off our digestive indulgences.

2024 Maybach EQS SUV trim level differences

The 2024 Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV is a four-door electric crossover that seats up to five passengers. It's offered in a single trim level, the EQS 680 SUV. Dual electric motors generate 649 horsepower and 700 lb-ft of torque, drawn from a 108-kWh battery pack. The Maybach supports 200-kW DC fast charging, which can replenish the battery from 10% to 80% capacity in about 30 minutes. Mercedes says the Maybach EQS SUV has a 280-mile range, which is on par with competitors and impressive for a nearly 7,000-pound SUV.

The lone trim level comes elegantly equipped with:

  • 21-inch wheels
  • Air suspension with adaptive dampers (can raise or lower the ride height of the vehicle and improve ride comfort and handling stability)
  • Rear-axle steering
  • Power tilt-and-sliding panoramic sunroof
  • Hands-free liftgate
  • Auto-dimming side mirrors and rearview mirror
  • Power-assisted soft-close doors
  • Leather upholstery
  • Heated, ventilated and power-adjustable front and rear seats
  • Two executive-style rear seats with center console
  • Rear heated armrests
  • Front and rear heated and cooled cupholders
  • Folding rear tables
  • Four-zone climate control with heat pump
  • Interior ambient lighting
  • Cabin air purification and fragrance system
  • Hyperscreen glass dashboard (combines 12.3-inch digital instrument panel, 17.7-inch infotainment touchscreen, 12.3-inch passenger display)
  • Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
  • 15-speaker Burmester sound system featuring Dolby Atmos
  • Navigation with augmented reality overlay
  • Wireless charging pad
  • Rear entertainment system with dual 11.6-inch displays

Several active driver assist features also come standard, including:

  • Automatic emergency braking assistance with cross-traffic detection (warns if a front impact is imminent and applies the brakes if you don't respond in time)
  • Adaptive cruise control (adjusts speed to maintain a constant distance between the vehicle and the car in front)
  • Lane keeping assistance (makes minor steering corrections to help keep the vehicle centered in its lane)
  • Blind-spot warning with rear cross-traffic warning (alerts you if a vehicle is in your blind spot during a lane change or while in reverse
  • Safe exit alert (can prevent a passenger from opening a door into traffic approaching from behind)
  • Evasive steering assistance (enhances the forward collision mitigation system with steering-based collision avoidance)
  • 360-degree surround-view camera (gives you a top-down view of the vehicle and its surroundings for tight parking situations)
  • Front and rear parking sensors (alert you to obstacles that may not be visible in front of or behind the vehicle when parking)
  • Driver attention monitor (issues an alert if sensors determine you are becoming fatigued)
  • Automatic high beams
  • Semi-automated parking system (steers into a parking spot with little or no driver intervention)
  • Dashcam (records an image of the road ahead, which can be reviewed at a later time)

Loaded with features such as it is, the EQS 680 SUV offers only a handful of options to further burnish its opulence. These include three wheel designs, including the Maybach's signature "monoblock" style wheels at a cost of a cool $1,100 per wheel, and a rear-seat and design package that includes fabulously lush Nappa leather and walnut wood trim and costs nearly as much as a new Honda Civic. Optional two-tone paint schemes only cost a little more than a new Nissan Versa. And although the EQS 680 SUV comes stock with four-passenger seating, you can elect for a center seat to accommodate five passengers. Other optional highlights include:

  • Maybach Night Series Design package
    • 21-inch seven-spoke wheels
    • Dark chrome exterior trim
    • Walnut wood interior trim
    • Exclusive white or black Nappa leather upholstery

Other stand-alone options include:

  • Rear console refrigerator
  • Trailer hitch (up to 3,500-pound towing capacity)
  • Champagne flute holder
  • Exclusive Nappa leather package
  • Rear-seat folding tables
  • Birch, walnut or piano lacquer interior trim
