Great Daily Driver
The 2019 Mercedes-Benz E300 is a great luxurious daily driver. The added luxury package adds more classic exterior styling with the traditional Mercedes upright star, that I think creates a much more elegant look than the standard sports styling. The luxury package also improves ride quality by adding more comfort-tuned electronic suspension which allows the car to simply glide over bumpy roads. The luxury package also improves the interior by adding very rich and soft leather seats, and stitching going all around the tops of the doors and the dashboard. The interior is highly elevated by the beautiful standard ambient lighting and the optional dual 12.3-inch displays that make the interior look high end and modern, while the wavy wood trim and interior details, like the analog clock and metal work throughout, keep the interior looking timeless with a well aging design. The handling of the E-Class is good, especially for a luxury sedan and the acceleration, while not extreme, is more than adequate to accelerate from a stop, or overtake from highway speeds. The car is full of great technology, that is easy to get used to, even if it is complex. The driver assistance package takes the stress out of highway driving, and the auto emergency braking for the front and rear especially is very helpful when parking. The park assist package also adds the 360 camera system with a bird's eye view function that is really helpful in parking garages or tight areas. The camera images are all great quality and have an HD resolution that makes backing out of a parking space easy, and the 180 degree rear camera and rear cross traffic assist make it easy to see an oncoming vehicle or person. Reliability has been great as the car has only needed basic required (and free) service. The sales staff were friendly and not pushy like the typical car salesmen, and the service department is always fast and gives a loaner when requested. However, when the car is washed at the dealership it seems as if the interior is wiped down with dirty rags and dirty water, which not only leaves dirt on the seats that I had to clean off myself, but is also the incorrect way to clean real leather because water can damage the material. I would ask to not have your car washed when taking it in for service, but other than that my experience has been great. The only place the E-Class, and most Mercedes, falls short is the depreciation and very low resale value. Even so, I feel that the purchase price of the E-Class was well worth it. When I was researching new cars, I found that the E-Class was more comfortable, better equipped, and was a better value than competitors like the BMW 5-Series and Audi A6. I would definitely recommend the E-Class to anyone looking for a new comfortable luxury car with all the best and newest tech. UPDATE: 10-4-19 I have owned this car for roughly 10 months and am pleased to say I have enjoyed every minute of it. This car has great material quality, technology, design, and customer service. The light-colored leather has held up well to daily wear and dirt (with regular cleaning) and the car has been faultless apart from an incident where a valet locked the keys in the car and the app was not working. I have seen complaints about rattles from the dashboard and door cards, but the roads where I live are horrible and I haven't had a problem yet. COMAND system works well and didn't require much getting used too, as I find it very intuitive. The Drive Pilot system works well and even after almost a year, I am still amazed by it. I still very much recommend this car especially with the luxury package interior and exterior (topstitched MB-TEX trim is a must for feel and look).

Performance, style, fun
Update: After owning the car for 2 years I have one major gripe. The low profile run flat tires cannot stand up to the road conditions found in the N East. I blew 4 tires since I owned the car. Fortunately, the DOT paid for 2 and the other 2 were under warranty but I still had to pay for alignments and deal with the inconvenience. In my search for a lux convertible I looked at several models and settled on the E450 Cabriolet. Unlike many in this class, it has a usable back seat, decent trunk space(for a cab), beautiful interior, state of the art tech, excellent performance and is just fun to drive. After 6 years of driving an SUV this car makes every day driving fun again. I considered the AMG but the standard twin turbo has plenty of performance.

Mercedes And Me: Great Going!
If you want a Convertible Roadster, the E450 Cabriolet makes the Mark! Let's start with the options I have, and whether they are worth the investment. I have the Drivers' Assistance Package, and I must say the technology has progressed to where it should be. The Active Distance Control when using the Cruise Control is spot on, as is the automatic braking when the car in front hits their brakes, which is more responsive than me. The automatic Lane Keeping control is also spot on and very responsive to curves in the road. The other elements of this Package are a must for safe driving, so I give this Option a "Must Have." I have the Massaging and heated/ventilated front seats. Living in the Deep South, this option package is a must! The Parktronic Package provides a 360 degree view of the car and surroundings from above, and is a necessity if you want to make sure you park exactly between the lines. I don't use the parking assistance portion of the Package, and find this not useful, but you can't get a 360 degree view from above with that element in the Package. This option is not a "must have." The AMG Package is for aesthetics, so even though it sets off the coolness of the car and its lines, its not really a necessity or "mush have." The 19 inch AMG wheels and tires I find a "must have". The tires are staggered sizes front and rear, so no tire rotation available. I went for the 12.2 inch additional Driver's dash projection as well as the HUD. It's great to have and provides a multitude of information options, but again not a "must have." My car's MSRP was slightly over $82,000, but I paid $8,400 less, so effectively, I received many of my options "free of charge." Now for the performance, handling responsiveness, and ride. With a V6 twin turbo engine generating 362 HP, it's fleet under foot! It's responsive and provides acceleration to 60 mph in just under 5 seconds. The gears change almost unnoticeably, and is smooth as silk. 9 forward gears are seamless. The braking capability is typical Benz; it stops on a dime. The E450 barely dips on turns and highway curves, and there are 4 selectable settings for the tranny and the shocks. Economy, Comfort, Sport and Sport +. There is a 5th selection where the driver can design their own combined settings. The ride is a bit stiff, especially considering the High Performance Low Profile run flat tires. So, if you want high tech, great performance, and an impressive Cabriolet, go for it. I urge you to sit in one, take it for a long test drive, and observe all the upgrade options to determine whether they are a "must have" for you.

This is so much more functional than an SUV
Update. 95,000miles and still going strong. I get so many comments when I get out of my car, people think it is gorgeous. I hope I make it to 200,000. I bought the E wagon in 2019. Volvo wagons cost almost as much as Mercesdes so I made the switch, and I have older dogs who can’t get up in a SUV. Not that I liked SUV’s in the first place. This car is nothing short of perfection. Beyond comfortable, extended seats, great sight lines, beautiful interior, and my dogs can jump in! When Volvo bailed on wagons ( actually they still make one but it’s an SUV height- and the price increase was 30% ) my only option was Mercedes, Audi and BMW. The latter two are too small. I am SO HAPPY i bought this car, and so are my dogs! 7 months later after buying the car it’s still a 5 star! One last item, it does not come with a spare tire. My friend told me that, so if you’re doing any cross country driving you might want to buy one. Update. There’s no room for a spare tire, so you have to buy run flat tires. Don’t love them but don’t like sitting on the side of the road either. Update. Just turned 50,000 miles. Car is still wonderful. Just found out Mercedes discontinued the regular wagon for the United States in 2022. So I guess I’ll have to drive it till the wheels fall off. NO interest in the SUV height wagon. You buy a wagon because it’s NOT an SUV. Update. Just hit 60K miles. Still in love. But I am not in love with the Mercedes dealerships in Jacksonville FL. The Fields dealership. They own 35 dealerships in the United States. Stay away from them. They charged $831 for a B service. My dealer in St Paul MN charges $431 for the exact same thing. So beware of who you take it to. Best is to find a good mechanic outside of Mercedes dealers who works on Mercedes. But there isn’t a car on the road I would trade mine for. When I’m in the dealership, some of the sales people come out and say they can’t figure out why people don’t buy the wagon. Because people in the US are like sheep. Everybody buys the same thing. Cars, clothes, and on and on. Update 69K. Only thing I wish for is better navigation. You really have to use your phone. I heard navigation was finally updated in 2022

Mercedes isn’t for everyone
Bought my E450 coupé February of this year. It’s a car with many functions. It’s a two door with a functional back seat (I’m 6’4” and I have driven with my 6’1” friend sitting in back seat behind me so that was an unexpected bonus. Those saying that buying a car at this price point that’s not a V8 may have to actually drive the car more than 15 minutes. This car has an awesome burst at the sports mode and sports plus gives you instant response with the 2019 have 50 more horsepower than the E400 from just last year and even more if you go the AMG route.

2019 E450 Coupe 4matic quick review
Bought my 19 E450 coupe 6 months ago, currently running at approx. 6800 miles in total. I have owned many models including 11 E60 M5, 13 A7, 14 550i and 16 RR sport. So far I am happy with the car. I would say this car’s overall interior quality def is better than BMW’s and Audi’s, and a little bit below RR sport. I feel the interior of the backseat rows could’ve been better by simply match what we have in the front row. In terms of sportiness, when the Sport+ mode is on, this car is absolutely a beast although number-wise (hp and torque) it’s way smaller than the 11 E60 M5 and the 14 550i that I owned in the past. The sport+ mode is a little bit frightening in a sense that sometimes I literally have a feeling that I cannot handle the power (maybe bc I’m way older now). An extra bonus is that, this car actually is the only car I have owned with a mpg matching the EPA estimates. So far I’m sitting at 23 mpg overall (6800 miles). So if you commute a lot on a daily basis, this car will cost you a lot less in gas while it is also capable of delivering excitement in driving. 3 options I highly recommend to get: driver’s assist pkg, bremester audio and head-up display. Firstly, I gained hand-on test experience with the “driving assist pkg” of MB, BMW and Audi (all post 2019 models), when I was shopping for a car. MB’s driving assist pkg is the only one that actually gives the autonomous driving experience, for a long distance commuter like me, it really helps after exhausting workdays. Secondly, Bremester Audio system is the best audio system I have experienced so far (excluding my rich cousin’s Aston Martin audio). It really adds on some luxury experience. Thirdly, HUD is something I did not notice how convenient until I have it. I rarely look down and check out my cluster and I seriously had trouble reading it when I switched car with my partner for a week. Lastly, DO NOT WASTE your money on park assist pkg... I actually actively looked for it, but so far I probably have not used it for more than 5 times. Lastly, the car has been very reliable, not a single glitch at all... although we all expect that from a brand new car. But sometimes it’s not granted, my partner bought a brand new 19 Q8 around the same time. As a matter of fact, she gets all these false alarms in tires and air suspension. I really would not regret that I did not buy an A7 when I was shopping.
Luxury sedan, but could be better.
Pluses: Beautiful design, interior and exterior. Can be driven fast, slow, in comfort mode or in sport mode, and handles very well. Very quiet and comfortable ride. Minuses: The navigation system is a little clunky to use and the traffic heat map colors are difficult to see (highlight color streaks are not very wide and also pale), although the screen quality is excellent with great resolution. I was a little disappointed in the lack of leg room in the back when the front seats are pushed back. I am 6'3" or 193 cm tall and there is not much room left in the back when I push back. My wife just bought a new Subaru Ascent SUV and there is a lot of space in the second row. Obviously they are different vehicles, but a luxury sedan like the E300 should have more space in my book. Concerning repairs and service, my brand new car died the 3rd day I had it - it had a major electronic freak out and had to be towed. According to the dealer the on/off switch for the car (a so-called gateway switch) was faulty and after a few days of inquiry they told me that the part was not available stateside with delivery time unknown? Independent from the dealer, I was asked to fill outa survey by Mercedes USA and unloaded a little in the comment section that this lack of supply chain I would expect from Hyundai or Ford, but Mercedes - really. Got a call 1/2 day later and suddenly the part was located and traded with another dealer, funny how that goes. In the end, it took 2 weeks to get the car back on the road. Finally, the car has developed a persistent creaking and rattle in the front. The seat adjustment switches in the door rattle incessantly and the creak started 3 months after purchase. Am not very happy about that I must say, especially as the Subaru is quiet as can be. Update on the rattles - it's been in the shop 4 times now to ID and repair the rattle, but not much luck. The tech actually told me that the loudspeakers tend to have a rattle problem all the time - metal on wood with no rubber gasket in between - HELLO? If it continues, I may get rid of the car and try the Genesis. Who wants to sit in a 'luxury' car and listen to rattling. Final Update: The driver seat also squeaks, but I just don't move around too much, so it's manageable. The driver side mirrors needed to be replaced twice after they suddenly started creaking with opening/closing. Finally, the main starter button now generally works on the first try, but again randomly graces me, its owner, with starting the car only after the third try - go figure? Otherwise, the car drives really well, has great acceleration, is comfortable, although partial leather seats would be nice, given the price of the car. It is exceedingly quiet inside, has an exquisite sound system, and has decent space in the back. I get about 29-34 mpg during a 45 min highway commute. Overall, it's a decent car, but in my book a little too expensive, given its quirky reliability.

Best All Around Car Period.
My 2019 E450 wagon is without question the best car I've ever owned--taking into account S550 MB, E500 MB, Porsche 911, BMW 540I, an E350 MB wagon, and several others. The car is aesthetically beautiful, is extremely fun to drive with tight sporty handling and a great 3 liter twin turbo engine and 9 speed transmission that winds up and delivers lots of power whenever you want it--all with a great engine sound, and with really great fit and finish and build quality- the interior is very attractive and sporty with beautiful leather and wood and not a piece of that hard plastic material that ends up rattling especially on cold days anywhere. The interior is also very comfortable, very well designed with amazing safety and entertainment technology as well as ambient lighting. This is all not to mention the astounding practicality--- 7 passengers and a huge payload capacity. This car is perfect for loading up with mountain bikes or mulch and is also an elegant way to drive to a formal affair. Perfect.

Incredible Driving Experience and Total Luxury
It is hard to beat this car. It is total luxury, plus it is a lot of fun to drive. I was not considering a Mercedes, but on a fluke, I stopped and drove one. Within a week I purchased one. The interior is amazing - technology combined with pure beauty. The engine is a beast! It is the best of both worlds, beauty and beast!

Astonishing V8 Icon - Yep, 10 out of 10
Car and Driver gave this car a rare rating of 10 out of 10. I'm just a regular guy who raised his eyebrow at that expert opinion but was persuaded to go for a test drive and immediately discovered their rating was not hyperbole. That test drive dramatically changed my frame of reference for what a car can and should be, and I began hunting for a ultra-loaded CPO. This rocketmobile is for people who want supercar performance in a highly sophisticated and luxuriously comfortable daily driver. Its sporty exterior styling touches are attractive, but casual observers might overlook it in a parking lot while admiring other more aggressively sporty-looking cars that significantly underperform the AMG E63 S - which has the advantage of not especially attracting Officer Friendly. The interior is super-special and refined in many ways, a delightful place to experience the unique joy of driving this amazing car. Yes, it’s expensive, but as a total package of performance, technology, and quality, this car is a just-right “Goldilocks” of incredible excellence and minimal compromise in every respect. In the case of the 2019 AMG E63 S, you DO get what you pay for, which is a truly world-class automobile. A very high level of fit and finish quality is displayed everywhere in the 2019 AMG E63 S. The heated Alcantara and leather steering wheel is a pleasure to use - this is what paddle shifters should feel like. Massaging heated and cooled front seats that responsively hug you in road curves are a revelation. The relaxing heated back seat is fine for two average-sized adults, or three for a brief trip. Attractively modern dash displays are a flashy representation of the impressive technology almost overflowing out the windows of this car. I’m very picky about audio but I could type for a long time about the marvelously exceptional "High End 3-D Surround Sound" Burmester audio system. I held out to find a CPO with the upgraded audio and it was worth the effort. The acoustic package’s window tint, optional sunshades, and the nicely effective HVAC system kept the interior comfortable during a southern August; the cold weather package is ready for the winter. The carbon-fiber interior trim is a slick and sporty look that pairs nicely with the dark Alcantara headliner. My car’s obsidian black metallic paint looks great, and I prefer this “pre-refresh” exterior. The aggressive front styling and the trunk badges are more of a giveaway, but from the side, this car looks like standard sedan fare as long as the person next to you at the stoplight can ignore the quarter panel badges that say, “Try me and look silly”. Night package is available; my car has the metallic window and lower body trim, a nice match for the forged cross-spoke wheels with grey accents. The Performance Exhaust, a must-have option on this 600+ HP beast, extends the metallic accent theme to the rear. The carbon-fiber engine cover looks sharp, and I love the “One Man, One Engine” builder’s signature plaque. How great is a German engine built by a guy named Dieter? Beyond incredible, in this case. Subtle touches like rain-sensing wipers, soft-close doors, and automatic LED high-beams that look like an opening theater curtain in front of you when engaging in dark, close surroundings remind you this is a really special car. The AMG E63 S's power and handling are among the very best in this class of vehicles, so it can be extremely tempting to drop your foot in the right situation. There are plenty of numbers published like 3.3 seconds zero-to-60 and experiencing them in the car makes them even more mind-boggling. When the car is set to maximum insanity, the total sensory experience can only be described as video game-like. Work the paddles throwing it through curves and find your jaw in your lap at the performance of a car this size and weight. The laughably massive carbon-ceramic brakes, sure-footed 4MATIC AWD, and fat Michelins inspire tons of confidence. Drop it into Drift mode and hoon like a high-school loon. Try a launch and it'll pin you back in your seat and take your breath away. Really. What’s under that sexy AMG hood is arguably way too rowdy for responsible use on public roads. Choosing between listening to the godlike audio system and the uber-glorious engine is a mighty struggle, especially in Sport Plus mode - or create and save your own Individual mode. The engine’s power and sound are truly spectacular and can quickly land you cheek-down on Officer Friendly’s hood getting fitted for shiny new bracelets if you’re not careful. The thrills are non-stop, and I can’t wait to take it to a road course track day – where all my data can be monitored and stored in the dashboard’s track app. Really?!? It's got a dizzying depreciation trip ahead and a higher-than-average total cost of sedan ownership, but it's also one of the very finest cars of its type. Go drive one.

Buyer be aware - Lease End Statement
I have been a loyal client. This is my 4th lease and I am afraid most likely the last. Mercedes Benz has hired a 3rd party to do their inspections and to my surprise, I received an almost 2k statement due in part to "excess wear and tear" of the tires... My lease was a two years 15k miles per year. I have friends working in different Mercedes dealerships and I was told this is the new norm, many clients are highly disappointed with this unexpected charges.

From SL550 to E450 to E450 wagon
For the past few years, we have delighted in driving our R231 SL550. Such a great motorcar, yet not keeping pace with our lifestyle changes. Enter the 2019 E450 Cabriolet; what a car. Same motor, transmission and front brakes as the SL450, yet with a longer wheelbase, two more USEABLE seats and a much more modern interface system. Don't be fooled, this car will spool up to speed quite well, providing a most comfortable and useable interior. The noise level with the top up is surprisingly quiet, and with the top down, well, that's really why you buy it. Several thousand miles now, a couple of road trips and some great around town outings with friends, and this vehicle continues to impress. While I do miss the compelling torque of the SL550, this E450 can deliver performance in a most stylish way, and then get 30 mpg on the highway. Bloody marvelous motorcar. UPDATE: 12/21: The A238 E450 Cabriolet is a magical motorcar, however after the second repair to the cabriolet roof webbing / inner liner in less than a year, we made the decision to move on from the Cabriolet. As much as we loved the car, the long term ownership costs appeared too daunting for us. The Cabriolet was replaced with an S/W213 E450 wagon, which is our third Mercedes wagon, and simply a magnificent motorcar. Just back from a 1,400 mile jaunt to Road America; got 31.9 mpg at 78 mph average, and hauled everything we needed for a long weekend at the race track. Love the long roof! Update 2.0: still in the E450 4 matic wagon, and love the vehicle. Stylish, comfortable, such a great road car, and yet delivers really solid mileage. Sadly MB elected to forgo the Estate version of the wagon in the US and now sells the AT (all terrain) in it's place. We shall drive our estate version until it simply wears out. Stay tunded.

Great Car For Daily And Track
Very good and luxury car. Large dash board display make it easier to look at. Ambient light can be mix and it can even changing the color automatically. The light in the air conditioning outlet will change color by itself such as turning red when you heat up, blue when drop down the temperature. The color will turning back to what you pick after few seconds of changing the temperature. For the most of the coupe, e53 was very good on gas. For the most of the cabriolet, we have lots of space of the truck. The tail lamp was also gorgeous, sequential light when you unlock the car and turn of the light ( the signal light were not sequential light). Also the headlamp has something different from the old version car. You can see the light moving to the side when you turn on the car which is very intelligent and modern. The performance exhaust system package make the exhaust sound incredibly good and smooth. It won’t be too loud to noising the passengers outside. There is another good feature including the performance exhaust package which is mute the exhaust. We can choose to make it quiet(not as quiet as the electric car) or loud. I recommended this car by 5 stars :)

Incredible car
It feels way faster than the numbers suggest. I have no trouble exploding past other people on the highway. My previous car was a 2018 Infiniti Q60 with 400hp. This car is comfortable, very well built, and the interior is unbeaten in design. The 13 speakers Burmester sound system is also fantastic.

Love this car
Only have it for a week but so far it’s just a great auto that has everything you could ever want a car to do. Found out too late that it has run flat tires. I have not ever been a fan of those but time will tell.

Elegant E450 Coupe
I bought a 2019 E 450 coupe a year ago because I love the car's elegant appearance. Lack of a post or pillar between the front and rear windows is unique. This coupe looks especially cool with the windows down. The mid-size coupe has become a rare breed. Almost all other coupes are now compacts. The E 450 is a larger car with more room than MB's C Class or Audi's A5 coupe. The base V-6 is plenty strong and works seamlessly with the 9-speed transmission. The Burmeister sound system is terrific. Cargo storage is pretty decent, especially with the rear seats folded down. The back seats are adult-sized but, as with most coupes, getting in and out is not easy. Once back there, however, the rear seats are comfortable. The interior is elegant and comfortable. The only thing I don't like about the E 450 is the infotainment system. It's too complicated and not intuitive. Also, I'm surprised there aren't more standard safety features on a car in this price range. More safety features are available as options, however. To summarize, the E 450 coupe is an elegant, unusual car. There just aren't many mid-size luxury coupes around. Instead of a hot rod or compact car, the E 450 coupe is a great looking, comfy ride.
All Points Checkup
The E450 is a powerful car with superb excelleration. Driving in steep moutain terrain is no problem. Excellent seat support. Driving for long hours is not tiring. I would buy this car again.

No need for a new one
Traded in my '16 Mercedes e400 4matic coupe (that I thought was almost perfect) for a '19 E450 4 matic coupe with 16800 miles. Even better than the '16 and it's stunningly beautiful!

E-Class Mercedes don't keep it long
third Mercedes and worst experience. A car that has 40,000 miles shouldn't need suspension, electrical and engine repairs. Once the warranty expires prepare to spend thousand of dollars on maintaining the vehicle. Can't wait to get rid of it. Last one I will ever purchase... German engineering check, Luxury... check, Quality ... non existant. Avoid at all costs.

Underwhelmed
My E450 wagon looks nice. It is so overly complicated in using infotainment functions by having to scroll thru multiple menus to get what what you want that you have driven the car a distance without your attention paid to the act of driving. I counted 5 sub menus to get to be able to turn off the traction control when other brands in this category have a hard button on the instrument panel. I also don't know why a company which prides itself on safety has a windshield wiper control which requires you to fully take one hand off of the steering wheel to activate it. I'm disappointed with my purchase and suggest customers shopping this brand critically examine the features and see if they agree with them.

The Best or Nothing!!!
We bought this great vehicle through the European Delivery Plan from Atlanta Classic Cars. From the very second we laid eyes on this car in Sindelfingen we knew we had made the correct choice. It is absolutely the finest Cabriolet for this size car on the market today. The two week drive throughout Europe was a fantastic “break-in” trip for this car. Since we took delivery again at our dealer we have thoroughly enjoyed showing our Cabriolet new sights in the states....you will not regret buying a 2019 E450 Cabriolet, you will love it... THE BEST OR NOTHING!!!! One year later.....STILL THE BEST OR NOTHING!!!! Great car that is fun to drive... Second update....I still think it is the BEST CAR EVER!!!!!! THIRD UPDATE…..now two years from purchase…..no change…..STILL THE BEST CAR EVER!!!!!!! FOURTH UPDATE (2/2.0/22) we still LOVE this car!!!! FIFTH UPDATE (8/22/22). DITTO…BEST AUTOMOBILE EVER!!!!

E450 wagon
Could be greatest car i have owned. If you were going to drive one car from coast to coast it's the Benz wagon hands down.
Noisy Engine, Floaty, Moldy, Dealers Discriminate
Don't buy or lease a Mercedes if you are Asian. The dealerships will practically accuse you of shipping their cars to China with some embarrassing questioning due to a widespread scam they got hit with recently. As for the car, the 2019 E300 was nice until we got it home and started it in our garage the next morning. The direct injection of their 4 cylinder engine is very noisy. It almost sounds like a diesel. The ride is mushy on the highway. Try bouncing the rear suspension in the show room and you will see what I mean (I wish I had done this). It's a progressive spring rate, but the initial rate is too low and results in a lot of floaty oscillating under certain conditions. Mercedes is not what it used to be! We bought an X5 in 2020 and its suspension is comfortable, but it still handles well and feels planted without any unusual bouncing like the Mercedes. Wow! What a difference a well tuned suspension makes! After about a year of owning this car, the battery is discharging after sitting for a couple of weeks at a time during the pandemic. None of our other cars have this problem. I also found out that many owners are having trouble with mold in the air conditioning system. Fortunately, we live in a dry climate. Mercedes! What happened to your quality, engineering, and design??? Anyone out there want to buy a lightly used E300? Anyone?

4 cylinder and luxury cars
Under powered luxury cars . Never purchase a midsize or larger car car with a 4 cylinder engine . Never pay full price for a half of an engine . Always test a car on a steep grade and power for passing . Always check the capped speed on a car . Why pay 60,000.00 For a high powered car if your car will only do the capped speed of a 20,000.00 car ?

Love my E 450
Just bought a used E450 with AMG trim/upgrades...except engine. Amazing car, tons of compliments as it's the 1st I've seen in my area. Plenty fast too.

First Mercedes and Could not be Happier
Bought 2019 certified used e300 in March 2022 and really love the car. Interior quality and room second to none. Twin turbo 4 cylinder engine is more than adequate for daily driving and highway use. Test drove BMW 5 series, Genesis G70, Lexus GS, Porsche Panamera, and Jaguar XF and decided on the e300 and still feel it was the best choice.

Turbo cars are bad for the driver. Needs more push from the gas pedal or Throttle.

Nice balance of comfort and performance
Couldn't decide between a sedan or SUV. This is a great compromise. With 360 horsepower it really moves when you need to. Happy with the interior quality and the technology.

Lexus much better electronics
My 2019 450 E convertible has only 16,000 miles today—June 2022. The computers are terrible compared to Lexus cars I’ve had in past. Windows will not close periodically without a weird fix, mirrors don’t retract on locking and much more. For a $80,000 car these guys need to get electronics equal to the rest of the car which is ok.
Unreal machine
This car does it all and does it all extremely well. It’s comfortable, fast, elegant, and just a beast. If you’re looking for one car that takes all the boxes I highly recommend the E 63 AMG. If you were lucky like me, and can find it in the wagon even better.

Best car ever!
I loved this car so much I did something I swore I would never do. I bought another identical one, and it took a lot of doing, as they only brought about 2,000 per year to the US, and 500 were the luxury model (with a better suspension than the Sport), and I think 10% were blue. It looks great outside, but it's the inside that is special. With burl and all the trim is actual metal it feels more like a Bentley. Meanwhile with AWD, most of 400hp it really moves, and with Michelin Sport runflats (I can't feel a difference to our other '14 wagon with the same tire that is not a runflat) it sticks to the road. This car does everything better than any other car I've owned (other Volvo and MB wagons) and it actual does it better than I thought possible. Is it perfect? No. But the problems are tiny... filler flap stuck closed (warranty), GPS fights me a bit, and the doors won't hold open on an upslope (how bizarre is that??) and I mean the slope in my flat driveway. I'm 50 something and recently did two 8 hours days back to back with no issues to me or the car. Not even sore. I push them hard and they are stable and predictable. I've hauled 6 people, 4 people and more baggage than I could believe, 2 people and 8 - 100+ pound BMDogs , it does it all. If I had kids I would want a key that gives them half the HP, but that is the only change I can think of. Even the stereo is awesome, I hear those things you read about... the fire engine at 2:12 in track 6 of a Beatles song, etc. Things I could NEVER hear on my pretty nice home stereo. I admit I love wagons, and I have a pickup for when my life needs that. But I always CHOSE the wagon if I can. Oh, and our 2014 E350 wagon (did I mention I love wagons?) has 175,000 miles on it and the only repair was a wheel bearing, which I think was me doing crazy full throttle U-turns when I got it. Because there was no drama, just crazy traction and acceleration. I have no idea why they switched away from the Luxury model (do you really want an E class that rides worse?) or why the new ones don't have the sparkle tail lamps, or beige carpeting with beige seats, or.... so for me 2019 and it's manual gauges, sparkle tail lamps, beige carpet, 3rd row seat, and all the rest was perfect. Wait! The sunglass holder doesn't hold my wrap around sunglasses. (But the armrest and doors do)... how great is a car when you are resorting to taking about that to come up with a flaw?

I chose the e450 Wagon over an SUV because I have as much interior space as an SUV but a far more comfortable ride.

Complicated to the point of unsafe
The infotainment system is not very intuitive so I usually have it shut off. Once I was using the Nav system but because it was dark I wanted to shut off the 'TV' and just hear the audio cues. No dice. Turn off the tv, lose the audio. I ended up using Google Maps on my phone. Take a phone call and when you're done and hang up, the radio will be on. Go figure. Lots of menus and scrolling required. Would prefer 30 or more on/off switches so I could just put a piece of tape over the ones I don't use.

2019 E450 Mercedes Benz convertible
Really fun to drive and love the look of it, but the head rest was made for much taller people than I am. It hit the back of head making me tilt my head forward, tried lowering the seat and raising it. Salesman tried everything he could think of to make it hit in a better spot for me, but was very uncomfortable.
Great Vehicle with Power & Style
The E-300 is a great vehicle with power, style an very classy. I love this vehicle and enjoy driving it daily!
