Used 2012 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Consumer Reviews
Eye catcher
This is a sophisticated upscale car. Perfect for the young professional looking to make his/her mark in the world. It is a personal car versus a family car. It is not especially suited for small children or pets. If you are looking for a sporty, classy, well appointed vehicle that is comfortable easy to drive with all the navigational and safety features, this is the car for you.

Mercedes Misses the Mark - Very Poor Technology
I recently purchased new 2012, Blue Tooth system does not work. I get error messages covering the Nav Screen every day. MB Customer service told me I need to choose a compatible phone from the MB approved list (apparently something the dealer should have mentioned in advance). Initially, MB were very accommodating and said they would reimburse my out of pocket expense to get a "MB compatible" phone. I now have their phone and I still get the same error messages. MB customer service says, "there is nothing more we can do for you" and "many 2012 customers are experiencing the same problems." In addition, ParkTronic does not function properly and power seat broke twice.

Never again
This car was actually pretty reliable but with 10’s of thousands of dollars in maintenance. The interior was unbelievably cheap and the driver and passenger seats were ripped and peeling apart at 40k miles. Mercedes didn’t cover this in their warranty of course. The catalytic converters needed to be replaced and just the parts were 3k dollars. Another feature Mercedes warranty didn’t cover. After owning this car it’s safe to say I will never own a Mercedes again.

engine racket on start up
best guess is intermittent defective oil pump . on half the start ups ( cold or hot ) , loud valve taps / rattle ... most likely due to oil lying in the oil pan . seems an odd explanation , as benz uses synthetic oil that sticks to moving parts ?
Like a Boss
The car oozes style. Nice trim, sleek interior...it's definitely a head turner. I love the fact that I can cruise at 85 and it feels like 65. Also, it has some power when you need it. Handling is nice and smooth and can turn on a dime. Sunroof adds a little sporty look to the classy feel. *update* Just a few cons - The rear view doesn't auto adjust when memory is set. - Temperature control via voice command. I had a 2007 Lexus IS350 and I could lower and raise the temperature settings via voice control. Not sure why this wasn't added.
