expensive repairs-should buy gas instead of diesel
I bought the car used w 70k miles on it, three common and major repairs- 1st air intake ($1200). 2d adblue heater ($1500), 3rd- oil seal leak $1200. Now have 150,000 miles on it and it drives like new after changing the motor mounts. Overall a nice car, built well, expensive repairs for the diesel system and engine- not like the old diesels

Great driver very unreliable engine
Bought a CPO E350 diesel with 30k miles in 2014. Loved the way the car drove and the fuel economy was wonderful. This car was fully loaded and a made road trips fun and relaxing. The engine, when working correctly could really pull the two ton car. I would only own this car with a Mercedes warranty. On to the bad part. The car was out of service for one month a year during my 5 years of ownership. The diesel engine and its adblue exhaust system were always on a self destruct cycle. The oil cooler seal was replaced twice. The fuel injectors were all replaced. New fuel pump and fuel system, two times. Failed timing chain, once. New motor mounts twice. At first, I was happy all of these trouble areas were fixed, but there are serious problems with this motor that cause these components to fail in component specific intervals. Adblue heater was replaced twice as well. Around 90k miles, some interior parts started to have issues. The volume knob was not very effective and the climate control back lights and switches worked intermittently. Fortunately, the car was under MB CPO warranty that did not have a ceiling on repairs. On my way to trade the car in, the check engine light illuminated, at that point I was ready to part with the car. If I knew the diesel would be such a nightmare, I would have purchased the gasoline engine.

Initial New Review
Beautiful car; handles well. I have the "radar" package (Distronic) and it is worth every penny. Quality build. I would hope to write a review in a year to see if I am still as satisfied as I am now.
