Sounds cliche, but best car ever
I think everything I ever wanted in a car I found in my 2004 E320. Great handling, smooth suspension, powerful 3.2 engine, decent mileage, great turn radius, very sporty and modern exterior and a super classy yet modern enterior. In terms of looks this is a major update from the 2002 E320 which in my opinion is a bit too boxy and plain looking. Comparing to the 2002, I would say the suspension and handling are slightly more towards the sport side although it is still primarily a luxury ride. The engine is very quiet, yet they designed it just so you get a sporty engine growl when you accelerate. The extra money paid for this Mercedes is well worth it.
Nothing but good on this one
I have had nothing but good results with my 2004 E500. Acceleration is great. I have read some of the other entries here and feel for those who have had a different experience. Maybe it was luck, or whatever, but my E500 has been awesome. My lease is up soon and I am trying to decide what to do. I should buy this car, but am tempted to check out even more power. The acceleration is addictive. Make sure you obtain a radar detector. Such is the only reason I am not locked up.

Good Car
Enjoy the car. Good handling, good gas mileage, good ride. Nice leather interior. Comfortable seats with power lumber suport
The perfect car
I had been looking at the sport sedans such as Infinity and Acura, but although they were fast, they lacked rear seating capacity for 3 kids. Also the interiors appear to be cheap and not too appealing (especially if you like the luxurious look while still maintaining the sportiness). I fell in love with this car the moment I looked inside. It looks rich, not cheap at all, definitely has the wow factor. This car had so many really cool bells and whistles, I have never had such a comfortable ride, great handling and speed adjusters make for a great ride.I average 28mpg on hwy and around 20 in town. not bad for v6.
Everything a luxury car should be
After owning two different models of Infiniti autos, I bought my first Mercedes Benz, E500 4Matic AWD Sport. It was a one owner car and sold by a European specialty car dealer. The only two big expenses have been rake & rotor replacement and replacing the drive belt on the full moon roof. Other than that, I’ve only changed tires, oil & filter changes, and a factory extended warranty to replace the SBC/hydraulic steering system. For a 2004 model car it’s still looks close to new.

Poor Quality Mercedes
My car has been to the shop over 22 times for all different problems and they way I have been treated.Poor senior managent and the quality of the cars is not what they just to be.
Better then a 5 Series
the car is probably the best car in the world. worth every dollar. if you want the best then you car is a Mercedes-Benz E class
Bad air conditioning system
The air conditioner continues giving out foul, sour, acidic smell even after 2 heater core replaced, 2 complete cleaning. The manufacturer call center confirmed it's a known issue. Transmission adapter failed once and is now leaking agin. Independent service center called it a fire hazard. Does anyone experience the same as I do with this car, please let me know. I really appreciate it.
benz
its simply a benz
Newman's 2004 E 500 4 Matic
The car is great in every detail.
best car I ever owned
In my short 48 years I have owned over 25 cars. I guess you could call it the search for the "Holy Grail" of cars. Four months ago I finally found it, the MBZ E-500. Power, comfort and style all wrapped into one. This car is incredable. It is like a sports car and luxury car rolled into one. Somehow mbz found a way to make a car that is exciting to drive and confortable at same time. I drive over 200 miles per day and for the first time I look forward to the drive. The one negative is the fact I know longer enjoy reading the sunday morning car ad's. Everything else pales in comparision. Oh well.
Worst Decision of my life
I just came out of a BMW 540i and after 3 months with this car it's been in the shops so much the coffee guy knows me. Drive is nothing like a BMW, leather is soft and has some nice features but who cares. So does my daughter's HONDA!!!
