I took over a lease on this car from the original leasee who drove the car for a year. I love this car. It is fun to drive, handles like an expensive Mercedes and has a user friendly price tag. The extras are staggering and I am still discovering features in this outstanding German made automobile.

I love my little Mercedes. It is so distinctive to look at and very fun to drive. It never lets me down. When I press the pedal down - off we go. I was a little leary about buying a starter level Mercedes - the thought of paying for just the name. mBut that wasn't so. What is so is the dealerships treats me like royalty, whether is spent $27K or $270K. THey and Mercedes have made a believer out of me. I don't think I'd ever go back to a non-Mercedes vehicle. Buy it with confidence and Enjoy!

I couldn't be happier..I was concerned about "get up and go"..what a joke that concern was. With little effort it engages and it reminds me of the star wars.. warp speed! the only thing I would do to imporve it.. is make the seats a little more luxuriest. Mineis loaded so I have the leather..but would like to see a little "cushier" seats. IF you are able to purchase from Calabasa Motors DO. the service is beyond good.. it doesn't matter how small the issue is.. you are sent way with a loaner, no questions asked.

SHE WAS A 323 BMW OWNER THAT SHE JUST LOVED AND DROVE FOR 80K MILES WHICH FOR HER IS A LIFETIME.SO, WE WAITED FOR HER OBSIDIAN BLACK TO COME IN WITH ALL THE XTRAS. SHE PUT 4K MILES ON IT BEFORE THE CHECK ENGINE LITE CAME ON, SO SHE TOOK IT TO MERCEDES AND 7 WEEKS LATER AND A NEW ENGINE LATER WE FINALLY GOT THE CALL IT WAS DONE. I TOLD MERCEDES TO BUY IT BACK BECAUSE I WAS NOT GOING TO ACCEPT A NEW MERCEDES WITH A REBUILT ENGINE AND SHE WOULD GO BUY SOMETHING ELSE. AFTER SHOPPING AROUND AGAIN SHE DECIDED SHE STILL WANTS A C230 SPORT SEDAN SO WE WILL TRY IT ONE MORE TIME. CROSS OUR FINGERS....

I LOVE this car. I was nearly killed in an SUV after it flipped over, and this car gives me all the perks and safety of a Mercedes, as well as the shlepping capacity of a small SUV! The hatchback is phenomenal. It also has a very light security cover that even a 5'2" woman can easily take off and on. The rear seats also fold down individually to create extra capacity! The car handles phenomenally-- makes U- turns with ease-- and has excellent acceleration. It's a smaller car, but not so small that you feel as if you're going to be smushed like a bug. Sunroof is nice to have. Radio has AM/FM/Weather band.

I actually never really considered purchasing a Mercedes. They just seemed like another overpriced brand name car (such as BMW). After shopping for a new Accord coupe (a comparably equipped one will cost $22K), I decided to check out the C-class coupe since it was in a comparable price range. I love the car after test driving it. It is by far the most fun vehicle I've ever driven that's under $30K.

My girlfriend wanted this car based on the pictures she had seen on the web. I talked her into dropping by the local dealership and test driving one. We took it for a spin and fell in love. It felt like we were driving on rails. I am an agressive driver and it will handle some pretty serious turning without loosing traction and the Supercharger helps keep us ahead of traffic. I had an Integra GSR which was almost 700lbs lighter and this stock 230 definately out performs my Acura even with several thousand dollars worth of aftermarket performance upgrades dropped into my Integra.

CAR IS REALLY WELL BUILT -- NO SQUEAKS, NO RATTLES. THE SEATS ARE VERY COMFORTABLE. WITH A BAD BACK I CAN DRIVE 300+ MILES WITHOUT STOPPING AND STRETCHING, THE INTERIOR DESIGN IS EXCELLENT -- PARTICULARLY THE GRID PATTERN METAL. THE PATTERN METAL LOOKS MUCH MORE SPORTY THAN FAKE WOOD VENEER. THE SHIFTING IS VERY EASY AND QUICK. BOTTOM LINE -- A VERY WELL BUILT, SAFE, AND AGGRESSIVE CAR TO DRIVE.

This is a solid, quiet, fast, sporty, comfy riding, economical, comfortable on long trips, reasonably priced vehicle. The automatic is slower shifting than the manual but is versatile. Brakes are strong & progressive. Lighting systems & controls are sturdy/effective. Very roomy with back seats down. A bit awkward to back up due to lack of clear rear view or side rear views. Tracks well and feels secure and safe. Great car.

When selecting a car by price, around 25000, nothing beats a new Mercedes, hands down. You get all the toys, quality, and 40000 maintence free miles along with 26-32 mpg. The car has so many gadgets that it takes 3 hours to read the owners manual and it is packed with precision engineered components. The tap shifter and Supercharger combine to thrill the driver from 0-60. The car wants to go,go,go, and at higher speeds is very stable. Go look at everything in the price range and then drive the Benz. From the 2 moon roofs to the ESP to the unbelievable acceleration, the car is plush.

I leased it 3 years ago and it was my first MB. Initially it was a fun car to drive. With the Kompressor engine I was zipping around and not spending a lot on gas. But as soon as it started to snow it was terrible. I've driven rear-wheel drives in the snow before, but the torque was too much and I was spinning all over the place. Also, the A/C and heat is so weak, thankfully I had the heated seats. I'm turning it in in 3 weeks and getting a C280 4Matic. Also, the dealer told me MB stopped making the C230 coupes...I wonder why...

So far great! Love the high tech performance of a world class engine, that is way ahead of its time. This type engine technology is currently being copied by US automakers. This is a real race car engine. British F3 series open wheel cars, which equates too 160mph. They are destroying the other cars that run Hondas. Adaptive performance in a hatchback, is a car that is a phnomenal value in my book.

After waiting over twenty years to buy my first Benz - finally getting one was an underwhelming exercise in futility. This is a TERRIBLE car, built like any other Pinto, Gremlin or Vega - HONESTLY. Bad build quality, rattles, squeaks, LOUD when driving it, alignment that can't be fixed, a transmission that can't be diagnosed, and a Corporate Office that refuses to deal with customers on ANY level whatsoever. I was told their Director of Customer Assistance does NOT read, or answer his mail, nor will he contact any customers. THIS is Mercedes Benz? THINK TWICE IF YOU ARE IN THE MARKET FOR A BENZ.....

This is the wife's car but I drive it every chance I get. When looking for this car we drove just about everthing in the two door 25-40K price range and found the C230 to be the best value. We also liked the BMW 330 but could not justify the extra 10K to get the same options as the Mercedes. And for about the same price as the BMW 225 we thought the C230 was just a nicer car. With the 17" tires the suspension is fantastic, soft and quiet at cruising speed yet tight and stiff on country roads. Engine is excellent, does not suck you into your seat like my 01 Stang GT but that is not the goal of this car.

Having driven many Mercedes in past but never owning one until now, I am not disappointed. I bought mine barely used with only 3000 miles on it over 18 months ago and the true market value on Edmunds for Private Party sale is about the same as what I originally paid. Great value for the money. Would considering buying again when the next model comes out. Definitely worth buying compared to comparably priced cars such as Accord V6, Acura RSX, etc.

I only had this car for 2 weeks so it's difficult for me to give an in-depth evaluation. This car is competitively priced with other vehicles in its class. Great value for a car wearing a badge that was once reserved for the wealthy few. I have had one problem so far. The gas gauge registered 1/2 full when I ran out of gas. The dealer said it's a known problem with the C-Class and they will repair it under warranty.

I have now owned this car for 2 1/2 years and thought an update would be appropriate. I purchased this car in Honolulu but have since moved to the mainland. This car has been from Louisiana to California twice and to Chicago and back once. All three of these trips averaged around 29 MPG, with an average speed nearing 75 MPH! Not bad. The last trip was a 1705 mile trip over two days; I had no back pain with very few stops. This car does have more creaks and rattles than I would like, is very small, and doesn't handle much luggage, but for a work day runner and with the cost of gas today, I still made a fantastic choice.

I was literally one of the first to buy a 2003 C230 coupe and I've loved it ever since. I have to be completely honest here and tell you that its had its fair share of electrical problems. The only problem was the engine was revving at idle just slightly, but this was fixed by replacing the engine controller (paid by warranty) and now it runs smooth as ever. This was the first MB to have the M271 engine and I was expecting some bugs. Other than that I've had the check engine light come on at least a half dozen times, but I've got that taken care of now. I've had no mechanical problems of any kind, no squeaks, rattles or anything like that, just minor electrical problems. Love the car!

No problems whatsoever. I get around 33mpg on long interstate trips, but only about 20 or so in town. I don't even try to go out if we get a few inches of snow. First winter, got stuck by my mailbox and the mail lady helped push me out, in 3" of snow. Tried top of the line snow tires plus sand bags and got nothing. This is the only complaint with this car, save the onboard computer controls could be a bit clearer, but I hardly use them anyway. Car is pretty, and 3 years later still gets turned heads when I pull a corner! From adults, too! Turns nice and tight, has a ton of features for such a "cheap" car.

The car has been driven nearly 200 miles so far, and still have nearly 2/3 of a tank left. Ride is comfortable, controlled, quiet, but not distant from the driver. Performance is great. Looked at the BMW 3 Series Coupe, the Audi A4, Infiniti G35 Coupe. In all, the 230K Coupe was the best deal. Some fluff options found on the competition are not found on the Mercedes. Driving the C230K Coupe was all I needed to know the car was more solid than the Audi A4, less expensive than a BMW 3 Series Coupe, better built than the Infiniti G35 Coupe. Also, the Merc stands out from the rest. This is a TRUE Mercedes at an exceptional price point.

I have owned this car for almost 6 months and have placed 2500 miles on the odometer (can't drive many miles on O'ahu). Overall, the car has been fun to drive. It is small and compact for the small parking slots here in Hawaii, but large enough in the interior to comfortably fit myself at six foot tall. So far, only minor rattles and noises. A solidly built vehicle with great steering and braking but could use a little more low end torque for this heavy of a vehicle.

I'm not a big fan of long drives. Driving is a chore. Not any more. I just want to keep on driving. I pretty much hate arriving at my destination. I've driven lots of cars and I just can't believe how much better this car is over the Japanese competition. I can't imagine having more power. What is the use? The engine sound is wonderful. The fit and finish is fantastic everywhere. (look under the car!) I've recently been in a top-of-the-line VW Passat and it just does not compare. This is such a fun car to drive and drive and drive.

This is my 3rd hatchback and I love it! My first two were a Mazda RX-7 and a Honda Civic, both of which presented consistent problems in the first 6 months and beyond. This Mercedes has been flawless in my first 7 months! The leather/moonroof/bose sound package and the sports package are bargains and well worth it. After test driving both the manual and automatic types, I chose the automatic because the power is more than I'll ever need. I'm actually getting 30 mpg on the highway! The smooth ride is a dream! The interior accommodates large & tall people well. It's also the only Mercedes small enough to fit into my tiny Victorian garage!

The 6-speed manual is a really fun car to drive, great handling. A reasonably powerful car with good fuel economy and environmentally friendly with ultra low emission status. Legroom in the rear is suprisingly ample, but headroom is tight. Fortunately, the double sunroof eases up the claustrophobia.

Caveat: I have only owned my C230 for 6 weeks, but no defects discovered so far. This car, with 6-speed M/T and the C5 and C7 packages including 17-inch performance tires, leather, and Bose stereo, is a blast to drive. Great acceleration in 3rd and 4th gear, comfortable cruising in 6th, superb handling characteristics. Blew an Audi TT off the line the other day - felt good considering the Audi costs at least $6-10K more. Only complaint - ABS not as effective as my previous car (Saab 9-3), and, despite ESP and traction control, doesn't handle real well on snowy or icy roads. Overall rating an 8.75.

My car would stallout when I would try to pass someone. It stalled out when I was accelerating from a complete stop.It stallout in the middle of a intersection. It repeatedly shutoff after I would refuel it.It had to be towed to the dealership(Rahal) after I couldn't (with the help of others)get it to start after refueling. In the first six months of ownership it had 16 problems .So I got a lawer.Just put it this way if you wont to know everything email me.

Very nice quality. Very good value for the 3 pointed star. Enging smooth and linear and fun to drive. Fit and finish like a 120K Mercedes! Very reliable. Shousld hold it's value nicely.

I really love my first Benz. It has a ton of power and great fuel efficiency. I absolutely love the sunroof; it feels like the whole world is open and you dont have to pay all the extra costs of a true convertible. I wish more of them came to the dealer with programable seats though. Leather is a must being that the cloth looks like it came straight from K mart. The key is fun and functional. My only big complaint is the stereo system. I used to drive a toyota echo, a super cheap car and the stereo system in there was ten times crisper and sweeter than this, and from what I hear the Bose is even worse.

I waited a year to write this to be sure it would be valid. This car has been a kick! I've got a 2300cc with the 6 speed, and have a blast driving it over the local mountain roads. I average 23 mpg city and over 30 on the highway - I can't imagine having this much fun and getting this mileage as well. It handles and accelerates like a pro (I've got the "wheel" package) and the sunroof is close enough to a convertible for me. It'll be a tough act to follow.

I could not believe that a working man could own a Benz w/5 year, 50K mile all inclusive plan for the same price as a moderate class GM or other American car. The car is flawless, gets 30+ MPG and is a blast when using the tap shifter with the rev limiter. Winding roads are fun. It has that classic Mercedes feel on the road. I have driven it 45K miles and have had it serviced by the dealer. It has cost me nothing except brake pads and I replaced them myself. There's not a shake, rattle or roll in the car. I smile every time I get to drive it.I have owned a new Lincoln, Chrysler, Volkswagon, Chevy's and my Benz beats them all. I bought a twin Benz in 2003 for my wife. Bravo! Mercedes
