Just bought it last week so I'm still in the break in period but every indication is that it's a great car and for under $16K it's steal!

The Mazda MazdaSpeed Protege is, in my opinion, like a hidden gem, no one would expect such power to look at the vehicle, but jump inside and you are in for quite an experience. The stabalizer bar takes some getting used to at first, but as in most racing vehicles, it keeps a tight reign on the steering capacity. Once you hit 45mph, it's smooth sailing, as this is when the turbo kicks in, and you're off to the finish line!! All in all this vehicle is a great adventure for those who like speed without the high cost!

I just purchased this car 2 weeks ago and have never had so much fun. I searched for months to find the right car and ever since i drove the msp i was in love. I tried to find flaws that it had and there were really none. It was about 2k more than i planned on spending but, it was well worth it! It is my first new car and i have test-driven them all, trust me this car is sweet. Oh yeah, i chose black....Just as much fun as driving my dads porsche.

Nice car...in black only for 03 model...not 03.5 I am partial to it's performance and many impressive add ons that increase it's handling prowess.. IMHO. :)

If you want fun, if you want excitment and if you want to be able to smoke the copmeptition on a daily basis, this car hits the sopt. I have had my car for 2 months now (last one on the lot) and I cant get enough. I find reasons to drive my car. The power is exceptional, the ride is just what you would expect and the control I have of the vehicle is close to nothing I have ever driven. Go Mazda for their ingenious design of tis car! ZOOM ZOOM
