Info-tainmemt/ dash screen cracks and expensive to replace. Temperature gauge/ A/C malfunctions. Wait for parts several months and problematic for dealerships to diagnose and properly repair. Very $$$$ to repair.

No, but I look and feel the part in this thing. I bought the AWD Touring with the Premium package and that addressed all of my practical needs. I didn’t get the Edmunds discount. I paid 40,850 (0.9% apr). In a word the CX-9 is luxurious and i love it for that. It’s quiet (inside), powerful and responsive so far and I’ve been able to reliably maintain an average 24.8 mpg in Las Vegas using either regular or premium in mixed driving (mostly highway). I could list like 3 nitpicks if i needed to write a balanced article but all i think is worth bringing up is the entertainment interface and the inability of a passenger to add a Bluetooth device while the vehicle is moving. That and this system’s inability to read FLAC or Apple Lossless music files via USB. Apart from that I’m thrilled by the car’s inability to look or feel lame!

I've owned several Mazda products and liked all of them. True story: When a driver tried to cross a highway that my daughter was traveling on, doing 55-60, things didn't go well. She barely had time to hit the brakes when impact was made. The little CX-5 took the brunt of the impact and although my daughter had to kick the door open, she walked away. Even the highway patrol was amazed she was not injured more than she was. So, sold on safety we went for a CX-9. I got one used with under 17,000 miles in great condition. I was a little afraid of how it would handle because I've always preferred smaller, sportier cars/SUV's but I was instantly in love. The turbo is a great feature, there is no hesitation, and you have plenty of pedal. (Something I had to use Sport Mode in my 2016 CX-5 to achieve.) I'm actually almost afraid of using Sport Mode in the CX-9, and really find no need for it. I see a lot of people talking about the third-row seat, and my 5'9" daughter tried it out. She found it easy to get in and out and would ride back there anytime. So, I guess it depends on expectations, it certainly is not the third row my brother's older Expedition has but seems sufficient for two adults. I too have noticed that the A/C and heating is a bit slow, but nothing that really bothers me. I love the handling, the comfort, the quiet, the great sound system. I will always miss my little CX-5 (RIP Pretty Baby, thank you for saving my daughter) but am very glad I decided on the CX-9.

I loved my time with my 2019 Mazda CX-9 Grand Touring but I was fortunate enough to take advantage of the increased value on used vehicles and I traded in my CX-9 for the 2021 Hyundai Palisade Limited. The Palisade is a little wider and a bit more comfortable for me. I’m a well built 6’3”, 315lbs., former football player and avid weightlifter. I would recommend the CX-9 to anyone. It’s a great a SUV, especially in the upper trim levels, Grand Touring and Signature.

I have been driving three different Suburbans since 2000 and my youngest child just got her license, so I decided to go with a smaller SUV. We looked at the Lexus RX and the Highlander as well. The Mazda was so fun to drive, has every tech detail I wanted, and edged both other vehicles out on price. I have never owned a Mazda so I’m hoping that their new, improved reliability ratings hold true. I drive at least 35k per year. We prefer a second row bench so we went with the Grand Touring AWD. The wood trim in the Signature was just beautiful though!
