This car Rocks!!
I have 2004 wagon and its 230,00 miles and its still running like new. you can still feel the torque strong. The only cons for me is the interior fabric, looks cheap materials otherwise, cool for hauling stuff a lot of room when you fold the next row seat..amazing car
Best wagon owned
I have owned this fantastic car for just over a year now and just love it! I have a family of 4 and have taken several long vacations in this car and there was plenty of cargo room and comfortable seating for everyone. I have had no problems with this car at all. I was a little disappointed in the gas mileage, sticker said 28 mpg and I'm getting about 22 or 23 mpg. Overall I'm very impressed with this car.

Stay Away
Bought at 91000 miles from owner who gave it to Coparts. I have owned 7 Mazdas since 2002 --- currently 4, 2 2003 Protege 5,2006 Speed 6 and Mazda 6 . This car built in US when Mazda and Ford were together. DON'T BUY THIS CAR. Nothing but problems. Thought low mileage like my other PR5 would be the same. Had to replace radiator, computer (had to reprogram which only dealer can do), and CATALYTIC CONVERTER. which I have done in my cars including all the Mazdas I own currently. Speed 6 with turbo bought at 90,000 miles and now 104,000 has been problem free. Guess being built in USA was noy good for this model.

Expensive
This car was bought in 2007 at 180,000km. The car gave nothing but expensive bills for maintenance. One by one everything kept breaking down each month. No bill was smaller than $200. Its very consumptive of gas. It always had problems. The good side is has a very nicely designed car interior and exterior. When its working properly it can be comfortable and fun. Unfortunately Mazda failed at providing reliability - I always feared with this car if I would make it from point a to point b or not.
Mazda, not as advertised
I am original owner with 56K miles on it and mostly commuting/hwy miles. Loaded up 6cyl. Great car when I first got it. Handled great, but after that have had problems the entire ownership experience. Have had to try multiple dealerships as their knowledge, service and work quality is terrible. Mazda Customer service not helpful. Build quality and design is not good. 15 visits a year to a dealership not unusual for bad brake system, clutch, trany, engine, interior reattles, power steering, A/C, suspension, exhaust/CAT converters, etc. Mazda doesn't appear to be quality / customer focused. Engine (Ford Duratec) needed replacement at 46K with oil changes every 3K. Same engine as Ford Fusion
