Ford, and now Lincoln Motor Company will never admit it but they now offer us vehicles that drive themselves. Between the available Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Keep Assistance I have in my 2013 103A Zephyr, I'm driving with more confidence than ever. My wife and I took delivery today, we chose the Ecoboost in a FWD as we have quite the commute. She had three stipulations: Has to have the BLISS, Rear Camera and Rear Sensors that I currently have in my Fusion. I can never live without them, she stated. My only stip was the Adaptive Cruise because of our inconsistent traffic in the metro area, I easily get frustrated with the stop, start, increase speed, CONTINUED under Favorite features:
I LOVE LINCOLNS
I've had the car for a while as I've driven nothing but Lincolns for over a decade. The car is incredible. Rides great. Great Mileage. Acceleration is awesome. Handling is awesome. The only thing I miss about the older Lincolns is the feeling like your on your couch in your living room..

Fundamentally a good car, with a few caveats
I've now owned a 2014 MKZ 3.7 AWD for about 3 years now, and by and large I have been pleased with the car. The best way to describe it is that it's good in the large majority of things, great in a few, meh in a few and bad in a few. The Good: the 3.7 V6 is easily the best motor of the group outside of the hybrid. Good power, very reliable, and smooth. Fuel economy is just okay, but I'll take it for the reliability. It's a simple motor that runs well. The sound quality with the THX system is really good, and the bluetooth is super reliable. I used to not be a fan of the weird touch-sensitive climate and radio controls, but as time has gone on, it's grown on me...it's actually pretty cool, especially for the time. Lots of storage freed up by the push-button shifter, which is also odd but becomes second nature over time. The Great: even 10 years in, the design still looks great. The Haldex AWD system is incredible in the snow. Handling on a front wheel drive-based car (even with AWD) is exceptional for what it is...incredibly flat through the corners, especially with the active suspension in Sport mode. It feels like an Audi with Quattro AWD on twisty roads, a huge compliment. Like all Ford vehicles, the A/C is ice cold, and heat is burning hot. The Meh: The cooled seats are hardly noticeable when they're on. The heated seats are decent, but nowhere near as warm as the old Cadillacs I had from the 2000's. The clear coat is soft, and bugs etch into it in days, not weeks or months. Fuel economy averages 22.0 mpg or so, not bad...but not great, either. The transmission hasn't had an issue over 50,000 miles, but the 1-2 gear shift is a little bit rougher than most cars I've owned. It also takes a while to change gears unless you're in Sport mode. The Bad: Electronics on this car are constantly failing. First the front speakers went out...bad amplifier (and very expensive). Then the rear-view camera went out. After that it was a litany of other things: front door won't lock with fob, back door won't unlock with fob, trunk close assist stops working, infotainment screen randomly shuts off every few months, and the door chime randomly changes over between the current chime, and the old 2000's Ford chime. Headroom in both rows (especially the back) is also very minimal. Lastly, the water pumps on these 3.7's are internal, so when they break (and they ALL do), the cost to repair is WILD...expect $2,500 minimum. That's the only issue with this motor, however. Also, if you have to replace a turn signal bulb, look out...you have to replace the whole headlight assembly, $500 per side minimum (the headlights turn with the steering wheel, so it's kind of a complex setup). Would I buy this car again? I think I would, mostly due to the bones of the car (engine, trans, brakes, suspension, climate control and design) being very solid. It makes it worth dealing with the electronic issues, and the other smaller things that pop up over time. Well worth the money on the used market, if you can find one in good condition!

great styling, well equipped, I'm satisfied
i upgraded to the MKZ recently after having a ford fusion. i could not be happier. the styling and looks are fantastic. the car is quiet and rides smooth on the roads. the information system works fine after you learn to use it. this is my first hybrid and i'm very happy with the gas mileage.

Fabulous Vehice Inside Out - But something to be aware of
I bought one with Panaromic roof. Yesterday, a good friend of mine saw this car for the first time and he was in awe with that car. With that note, he was about to get off from the front passenger seat. Since the car has a lower seating and the door was far from him to hold on to, he held on to the top frame of the car with his right hand fingers over the roof that I had just opened to display. With rain coming, I decided to close it with his fingers still on. The glass roof rolled over his fingers just as tight as one can imagine. His 3 fingers are now fractured. Owners of the car with this roof, please be aware that this could happen to you or someone with you.
