NOT WORTH THE MONEY
Test drove one the other day because I really liked the exterior & interior designs and I have owned Lincoln's in the past that were smooth, quiet, comfortable cars. This Continental 6cylinder turbo, had only 40k miles on it and looked to well taken care of. I was so disappointed in the test drive. The ride was not very smooth at all, not much driver leg room, engine noise was like being in a little 4 banger import. Slow lack luster pick up and poor front wheel drive abilities. Several of the exterior chrome parts at a closer check looked like cheap plastic, were peeling loose & coming off and one fell off & missing around the rear taillight (everything is glued on). It seemed like no more than a fancy Ford Fusion that was slapped together for 3 times the price. A car with only 40k should be close still to new and not falling apart. Styling & features 8 of 10. Quality and performance 2 of 10. The car was selling for 26k, would not have bought even at 12k.

No front room space.
I had a 2014 Lincoln MKS prior. The difference between both cars is major concerning the front seat. There is little room in the Continental. I have to have 2 auto settings for the seat. One to get in and out and one for driving. The seats retract minimal when turning the car off. Also the steering wheel does not move enough to the high side. The side of the front seat has broken off 2 times due to its figuration getting in and out. When I adjust the seat to my driving I can't see the sunroof controls on top without bending forward and down. The MKS had adjustable brake petals, head lites that turned towards the direction you were turning, heated and a/c seats and when you turned off the car the adjusted seats moved quite a bit up and down. The continental left a lot to be desired. I should have kept the MKS and are very sorry I have the Continental.

Not what I paid for
Extremely disappointed in the car. Actually wished I never bought it. The GPS maps are 4-5 years out of date, the USB ports malfunction, the "chilled" front seats are a joke. They are in fact NOT chilled, they suck air into the seat, not cool air is blown out. The seats are worthless. I've never heard of this. Never again.

New Lincoln After 21 Years
I had a 2000 Town Car, traded it for the Continental Edmund's emailed me about at Koons Baltimore. I love it, white, all the bells and whistles, just like new except for a couple things on the outside that you can't really see.

A poor man’s Rolls.
The styling is like no other. It gives you a sense of pride driving it.
It's no A6
I was looking at the Continental as a used car. My father always had Continentals and Town Cars growing up in the 70's, and when this new design came out I liked the look and direction it seemed to be heading in again...finally. After reading the reviews, I'm not too sure anymore. I'm coming from a C7 Audi A6 Quattro Prestige with the Supercharged 3.0 putting out 310 hp. I couldn't get over how everyone was overly impressed by the 3.0 TT in the Conti. The A6 has less power, but is somehow as fast if not faster (5.2 sec for me to 60), and all the while, and even over the past 50k+ miles it still averages 27 mpg in mixed driving, and on long stretches of highway, I've gotten up to 36 mpg...in a forced induction V6. The long term average is even higher in the summer months, so I'm sure I would aveage closer to 30 mpg lifetime if I lived in CA where this Conti was being driven instead of the NE. What hasn't Ford figured out yet? Get rid of the heavy steel body panels and go aluminum already. Still using a 6-speed? People have been using 8-speed transmissions since 2011 now. The Audi has better performance, much better fuel economy (550 miles to a fill up in the summer), and has a better quality interior, better materials, and better fit and finish. At the time it came in fully loaded for less than this Lincoln. I don't think the massaging seats would make me miss the A6 that aside from the parking assist, and a nicer audio system, has all the safety and convenience features of this. The A6 even has night vision. If it was 2012 and Lincoln came out with this, it would be impressive, but knowing what the others they were benchmarking themselves against had in production for years already (Lexus, MB, Audi, etc.), and their response was an all steel, heavy 6-speed with fancy seats, and an interior design that looks more like a stuffy, old money 2008 Jaguar, than a contemporary German luxury car or even a Lexus, is really out of touch. Something's never change..
