Used 2022 Lexus RX 350 SUV Consumer Reviews
I love the exterior and interior 2022 RX 350
I am not happy however with the road noise and instances when it feels the engine is sluggish! Also I feel a thumping at times! Took to dealer but no solution!

Smooth and quiet
We bought this vehicle for its reliable reputation. It’ll also be one of the last naturally aspirated 6 cylinders with both port and direct injection. We love the vehicle- it seems well built, quiet, and has an exceptional ride quality. Comfort is well above average also.

DON'T PUT YOUR MONEY HERE!
I previously owned a Toyota Avalon, and then the Lexus ES350. The family has owned Camrys, Tacomas & Highlanders, so we are sold on the brand 100%. Love, love, love them. Unfortunately, I chose to buy a new 2022 Lexus RX350 in September 2022. Waited for it to be manufactured. Did not notice anything initially. Now, the transmission emits annoying moaning sounds, and some vibrations upon initial acceleration, up to about 30 mph. (rpm range of 1250-1500) The sounds are definitely NOT LEXUS QUALITY for a $60k luxury vehicle. It purrs like a kitten once you get over ~35-40 mph and you are coasting at speed. DEALER & TOYOTA'S RESPONSE: Normal, that is how they sound. Problem #2: I am getting 25% less gas mileage in the city. That's significant! Saving my gas receipts with calculations as proof. Also, the car itself indicates between 13-15 mpg! Not the ~20 in the city. The Lexus app states that I am a good to excellent driver. My RX350 has approximately 1600 miles, with two trips to my dealership complaining of the issues. DEALER'S RESPONSE #2: The trans has 8 gears instead of 6, and it has 2 tailpipes, so it's somewhat louder. Also, switch the car into "sport mode" every time you drive; the gas mileage will improve and in "sport" the transmission will quiet. Suppose if you don't want your rpm's to double, that may be the bandaid fix. No service was performed. Just a test drive. This is definitely a performance NO. Smoke and mirrors!
Look elsewhere for mid-size SUV
Researched for months for the perfect mid-size SUV to replace a full size SUV - one that would last 10+ years. Decided on the RX due to Lexus' reputation for superior quality and reliability. Positives: exterior and interior styling, technology (navigation), safety features, adaptive cruise control Negatives: After driving for a week, vehicle ride is not smooth at all, transmission is jerky and surges (especially at lower speeds), has squeaks and rattles in multiple places, and rearview mirror on drivers side vibrates making it difficult to actually use. Brought to dealer and I'm told transmission is "normal", mirror issue is known and has no fix, and not all of the squeaks/rattles were addressed. Overall, very disappointed in this vehicle and in Lexus at this point. 7 months and 5K miles later: transmission has somewhat improved though still noticeable at certain speeds, still have rattles and squeaks coming from the door and glove box.

Luxury with a need for just a bit more
Just picked up a fully optioned out 2022 RX350 with Luxury pkg. My wife and I wanted the most comfortable and reliable vehicle we could get but still with buttons on the dash! Very pleased with the fit and finish of overall features of this vehicle. It’s all we needed and more. But I do wish that at this price point they had added a few more luxury items to perfect it. With the upgraded seats it would have been nice had they allowed the front passenger seats to include it’s own memory settings as they do in the European version of this vehicle. Also for the rear seat passenger the ability to move the front passenger seat forward with a switch on the side of the seat as in my 2004 LS430. LED door projector lights would have also been nice too. Perhaps most of all automatic soft close doors would have been a great treat. Knowing this is the last model year I understand but the dash info screen being better resolution. That being said things that make this vehicle a gem…the power mapping for this engine. So much smoother than our previous ‘15 ES350. The Mark Levinson sound system is the best we’ve ever had. The visibility and ride height with the front camera make it all too easy to enjoy! Lexus build quality hasn’t wavered all these years. Looking forward to many miles with this one!
