Used 2007 Lexus RX 350 SUV Consumer Reviews
Transmission Shifting
When you're going around the corner or taking off from a slow speed the car jerks into a lower gear and roars away. It doesn't shift smoothly into the next lower gear and smoothly drive away. It drives me crazy. The dealer "re-flashed" the computer and it didn't help much at all. If it's a problem then Lexus better fix it soon. I've already decided not to buy another even though I love the car otherwise. I may take a very much closer look at the new Toyota Tundra I'm about to buy also.
Nicest ride I've ever owned
I replaced my beloved 4Runner with this and it's almost too nice a car for me. It drives great and is so quiet and comfortable it makes the ride more relaxing. I am very happy with the gas mileage, (20-28 mpg) and I agree that the sound system could be nicer. I have absolutely no rattles and love the leather, the moon roof and seats. My dealer is very accommodating and I couldn't be happier. I'm at 30K plus in mileage and my tires are holding up fine. I also love the headlights that turn with the wheels-the lights are so bright you could throw a party in front of your headlights! (not while driving, of course).

New Lex RX 350
All in all I'm satisfied with it, 2nd Lexus I've owned, I can't decide whether I like it better than my 93 LS 400 though. The vehicle is so smooth that it kind of takes away from the driving experience. That and the blindspots are my only complaint. Also, the standard stereo is mediocre at best for a vehicle of this caliber. Definitely opt for the Mark Levinson system if possible. The exterior is classy and modern, the interior is gorgeous and ridiculously comfortable, and again it drives so smooth it's pretty much not "fun" to drive. That's good for some people I suppose.
Beautiful car and comfortable
It's a beautiful car and very comfortable to drive. It equipped with everything with quality built-in you can not get from other car manufacturers. I've just had it for one month and average gas mileage is around 22 mpg. You can get the power when you needed. I think the gas mileage is pretty good for a V-6 (AWD).
Not up to snuff
Looked at many SUVs including X5 & 3, Q7, Volvo, etc. and figured this would be the best bang for the buck - it's a Lexus, it's gotta be good, right? This model seems to have issues. There is a rattle that appeared right away that comes from the steering column (or dash, not sure), interior quality is not great, brakes are spongy, etc. The dealer recognizes that the rattle noise is strange but played it down saying until Lexus Corp. says otherwise, the party line is that "this is normal". The new engine for the 350 is noisy, sounds like a decent diesel engine but this is a gas engine! I'm conflicted because I want to like it but at 800 miles I'm already thinking about selling.
Superb mid-size luxury SUV
I've got about 1,000 miles on a Lexus RX 350 AWD. We were looking for a 5- passenger SUV. We looked at Volvo, Mercedes, BMW as well. Lexus had the best combination of space, easy to drive, power and luxury for us. We owned 2 Toyotas before - Sienna and Avalon - and thought both were great.
Fantastic car, but ...
Just purchased this car as a replacement for our Honda Odyssey, which we thought was way too large for our family of 4. Fantastic build quality, fantastic engine, nice and high quality interior. The price for the nav is high, but it includes a lot of other goodies such as the HID lights, which are worth the extra expense. The price can exceed $45K quickly, but the RX 350 is one of the better deals out there. Great car for general use, but probably too small for an extended cross-country trip - the trunk and general passenger area are just too small.
Sharp Luxury
We recently purchased the Lexus RX 350 and love it! The ride is so smooth. Fuel mileage is better than average and I love the rear door power buttton.
Very Happy Lexus Owner
My first Lexus (1998 ES 300) I drove 164,000 miles absolutly no problems. The Lexus 2007 RX 350 that replace it now has 27,850 and absolutly no problems. There is a pattern here. The quality, fit and finish are 1st rate. Yes, it costs a little more in the initial purchase price but you get it back many times over in reliability, comfort and safety. I am an engineer by profession and I am really picky.
Former BMW owner
We became tired of BMW service costs and issues and this is our first Lexus. So far, so good and this is an excellent vehicle. I wish the standard radio was a little better, but this is a minor issue and fit and finish on the vehicle are exceptional along with handling and ride. It is my wife's new car replacing 10 years of BMW 5 series wagons.
