headlights on Lexus Rx330

If you live in the Long Island area and NYC area your RX330 will last about a month before your headlights are stolen. Poor design on Lexus's part, it takes 30 seconds to steal the lights with a crow bar (plus the body gets damaged) Otherwise the Rx330 is a fantastic vehicle. It's very comfortable and a pleasure to drive. Quiet and smooth ride. gas mileage is so great though, but its a great vehicle.

The comfort, reliability, and safety issues with my Lexus were all a big plus for me. Having all that in my vehicle along with the styling and elegance was enough to convince me it was the better choice to purchase. The service I have received after the purchase couldn't get any better. I'm totally convinced that I would never buy any other vehicle except a Lexus. I'm completely spoiled by it's quality and overall performance.

This is the third RX that we have owned and the best so far. These vehicles are trouble free and feel like luxury cars. Lexus has combined great style and handling in a comfortable cabin with plenty of room. Can't imagine them improving this one but they probably will.

My husband wanted a Grand Cherokee Limited but I won out. He absolutely loves this car...he hasn't stopped detailing it on the weekends. It's beautiful to look at, fun to drive, rides like you're floating on air. Nothing better this year in mid size SUV's and service is fantastic!

Before I get to my review of my 2005 RX330 I want to mention that I have never been treated so well as I was at DCH Lexus of Oxnard, the dealership that I bought my Lexus at. From the first time I called them, to the time that I bought, and since then, they have treated me like a VIP. As to my 2005 Lexus RX330, this vehicle is awsome! It rides like a luxury sedan, handles great, has very comfortable seats, and is just a lot of fun to drive! The navigation system works great, it even tells you what lane to get into if you're in the wrong lane. I love the fact that I can give it voice commands while I'm driving. This is my first Lexus, and from my experience so far, it won't be by last.

Good acceleration at all speeds, including passing power on freeway. Transmission lag on 2004 model is gone. The 19/25 mpg accounts for the extra transmission responsiveness. Smooth and quiet ride. Good gas mileage.

I bought my 04 RX330 after having the 03 ES300. While the ES300 was a fine automobile, my toy (RX330) is tops. I love its appearance and I just love driving it. Definitely the best automobile purchase I've ever made.

I truly love driving this SUV- and I am convinced after test driving many other SUVs in the same class that this is the best purchase for the price. The comfort in this car is matched by no other SUV I have ever been in, and it truly rides like a sedan and not an SUV. It has a very smooth ride, and has all of the luxury features/options that Lexus has built its reputation on. I am also pleased by the reliability of this vehicle. I would like a little more cargo space, and I'm not a huge fan of the metallic trim on the interior surrounding the console (would prefer wood trim), but other than that, this car has been perfect for our family of 3.

The RX 330 is fun to drive, very comfortable, and it drives like a car. The interior is beautiful, and the features are endless. The only complaints I have are; not having a chime when the fuel is low, and not having a coin holder accessible to the driver. The only problem has been the power lift gate motor. Lexus replaced immediately with no problems since. Maintainence is expensive, however the oil only needs to be changed every 5,000 miles. My next vehicle will most likely be the same, but newer.

I had one mechanical problem at 6,000 miles -- ABS failure. Dealer repaired it under warranty and provided me with a loaner. The vehicle performs well and no other problems -- 11,800 miles now. The car handles well and I like the workmanship -- excellent both interior and exterior. Transmission shifts very smoothly except from 1st to 2nd gear. This should be corrected in future models. The gears are easy to shift manually. It is fun to drive. Dealership is the BEST! I would prefer the wood grain interior around the dash rather than the chrome metal.

An exceptional SUV with uncomparable comfort. All wheel drive performs well while driving in snowy or rainy conditions. Acceleration is bit dull while starting from full stop. But is good after picking up speed above 40 MPH. Interior is plush and cozy. Front seats are very much comfortable with spacious leg room. Over all its a very good choice among luxury SUVs.

Bought this new in January - 4 AWD, Love this car. You get used to the transmission lag, gas mileage is acceptable. I've run the tank down to about 16 miles left in the tank and it only cost about $33 to fill it completely back up with CA gas prices- less than $10 bucks more than the Camry I used to own. Tried everything else but this is the category killer - Consumer Reports also names this their best pick. Braking is the best I've ever seen and the navigation and rear back up camera are indespensible - they may seem like trivial expense items but are actually very very useful and helpful - you'll use them everyday.

This is my second lexus and first RX 330 and let me tell you this certainly will NOT be my last. The 2005 edition is quiet, luxurious, contemporary and just so WONDERFUL. My RX delivers me and my family in style and portects us with numerous saftely features that work so well you don't even realize there working, until you see the driver in front of you spin out into a ditch and you pass without a problem. This is definitely the most appealing SUV in its class. Its reliablity is untouchable, its service is platinum and its ablity to retain its value is amazing. Lexus supplies me with a piece of mind and is undoubtably the best brand!

It has a quiet, smooth as silk ride and handles well, taking turns much better than my 2000 Chrysler Concorde LXi. I only have 3 complaints, although they are minor. The rear passengers complain that they have no room for their feet, as the front seats are low to the floor. Second, why can't the Japanese make seats comparable to those in American cars? My Chrysler seats were much better padded and roomier. 3rd, Toyota Sienna is much better appointed with tiny things that make a difference, like a little hook you can flip out to hold a garbage bag. The Lexus doesn't even have a compartment for sunglasses, which even my husband's Sentra has. For $38,000+ I expect more details.

My Lexus RX330 is the epitome of luxury and I love driving, riding or just looking at it. It is everything I would want in an automobile except the gas mileage of 19 - 20 miles to the gallon could be higher. I feel safer in this car due to the construction and the way it handles in snow proves the Lexus engineers knew what they were doing. I won't buy another vehicle except a Lexus.

In searching for the "perfect" car I found at that their was no such thing. However, I feel that the RX330 came as close to perfection as one could get. The RX330 has beautiful lines, decent power, good fuel economy, and an interior that one could live in. The RX330 doesn't have the sporty ride of my "perfect" vehicle, yet it makes up in other areas. Being my first luxury car I can not say enough about the interior of a Lexus. The leather is soft and beautiful, the maple trim is very classey, and the navigation system w/rearview camera is awsome. The interior space complements my 6'3" frame and gives plenty of room for an average size adult in the back.

Intelligence, style, comfort. Makes me want to go on a road trip! Plenty of power. Not as tight or flat in turns as BMX X5 or Acura MDX but more than enough when very good hanlding when driving no more than 20% over the speed limit and for accident avoidance. FAR more comfortable and drivable for long trips, especially when you consider that more than 95% of our driving is straight ahead. Roomy, 4-adjustable steering column and 8-way adjustable driver's seat. Very comfortable rear seat. Sensible instrumentation.

Steering is what I would say is over responsive and can cause a swaying sensation when traveling on a straight road. I don't like the response of its acceleration at times. I notice this most when I am traveling at approximately 40 mph and I want to speed up fast, I feel a noticable loss of power, before acceleration begins.

The car is otherwise excellent with one major problem: because of the brightness of the high intensity headlights, they level off at a low level, and the top half of your field of vision is very dark (otherwise other drivers will feel blinded). Very evident driving in the hills or on a freeway when there is very little traffic. Depending on the steepness of the road, may not see more than 25 feet in front of you. Lexus told me it is a known problem with this model in particular but don't know there's much they can do. I'd be interested in whether others have had this problem or ideas where to research it.

Coming from a '98 GS300 (great car) to my first SUV may not be a fair comparison. The steering is not as precise. My '01 Dodge Caravan accelerates quieter. But I guess as far as SUV's go it is at the top of the heap. The quality is definitely there.
