2025 Lexus LS Sedan Trims Comparison

Trim level differences

The 2025 Lexus LS is available with two powertrains. The entry-level LS 500 packs a twin-turbocharged 3.4-liter V6 engine (416 horsepower, 442 lb-ft of torque) paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel drive is standard and all-wheel drive is available.

The hybrid LS 500h gets a naturally aspirated 3.5-liter V6 supplemented with two electric motors to produce a combined 354 horsepower. The V6 is backed by a unique transmission that combines a traditional four-speed automatic with a continuously variable automatic. All-wheel drive is standard on the hybrid. Standard feature highlights include:

LS 500

  • 19-inch wheels
  • Adaptive suspension
  • Sunroof
  • Leather upholstery
  • Leather-wrapped heated steering wheel
  • Power-adjustable front seats with heating and ventilation
  • Power rear sunshade
  • Head-up display
  • 12.3-inch touchscreen
  • Navigation-enabled (subscription required)
  • Apple CarPlay and Android Auto (both with wireless connectivity)
  • Wireless charging pad
  • 12-speaker audio system
  • Front and rear parking sensors

Standard advanced driver aids, known as Lexus Safety System+ 3.0, include:

  • Automatic emergency braking (warns if a front impact is imminent and applies the brakes if you don't respond in time)
  • Lane departure warning (alerts you if the vehicle begins to drift out of its lane)
  • Lane keeping assistance (steers the vehicle back into its lane if it begins to drift over the lane marker)
  • Adaptive cruise control (adjusts speed to maintain a constant distance between the vehicle and the car in front, even down to a stop, and can also react to traffic signs and set speed) with lane centering
  • Blind-spot warning with rear cross-traffic warning (alerts you if a vehicle is in your blind spot during a lane change or while in reverse)

LS 500h
This model gets all of the regular LS' standard features but adds:

  • 20-inch wheels
  • Adaptive air suspension system (adjusts to enhance ride comfort and handling as well as the ride height)
  • Upgraded leather upholstery
  • 28-way adjustable, heated front seats with massage function
  • Heated wood-and-leather steering wheel
  • Power-reclining heated rear seats with memory function
  • Synthetic suede headliner
  • Premium wood trim
  • Teammate hands-free driving system with automated parking

Since the LS 500h comes nearly loaded, no option packages are available. However, Lexus offers several packages for the LS 500. Major enhancements to consider include:

Lexus Safety System+ A package

  • Enhanced adaptive cruise control with lane change assistance (uses additional sensors to maintain a safe distance from other vehicles and can change lanes automatically when the turn signals are activated)
  • Front cross-traffic warning (warns if a vehicle in front of you is about to cross your path while you're pulling into traffic)
  • Enhanced automatic emergency braking (adds active steering assistance to help swerve around obstacles and integrates warnings into the head-up display)

F Sport package
Bolsters style and performance with:

  • Unique exterior trim

  • High-performance brakes
  • Sport-tuned adaptive suspension
  • Special instrument panel design

Stand-alone options for the LS 500 include an adaptive air suspension, automated parking, a panoramic glass roof, intricate interior wood or metal (Haku) door trim, four-zone climate control with an advanced cabin air filter, a 23-speaker Mark Levinson audio system, and a digital rearview mirror. Options for the LS 500h are limited but include unique 19-inch and 20-inch wheels and Haku door trim.

Which LS trim does Edmunds recommend?

The hybrid includes nearly every available option, but it gets only marginally better fuel economy on the highway, where a luxury sedan like this one is most at home. We'd opt for the base LS 500, which is about 30% cheaper to start and lets you take the features you want and leave the rest.
