Very disappointed with the Bluetooth system. Poor design when compared to the competition. Disappointed with the NAV that it basically shuts down after 5 mph. You have to go through some dippy override to get it to be functional. The homelink design is very poor. Why on earth is it on the mirror? It's not even illuminated. Can't find it in the dark. Neither are the memory seat 1-2-3. Lexus provides no information regarding the voice commands... you have to search the internet to find out what they are. Why?? Interior lights should come on as soon as the unlock button is pushed... they don't until the door is opened and they are very dim.

Since I got my IS 350 in early March, I've been looking forward to go to work every morning, not because I love my job that much but because I get to drive this very fast car for 45 minutes each way. It is such a pure joy to drive, aggressively or leisurely. It accelerates mightily and brakes commandingly. It's head-turning gorgeous lines and stylish plush cabin make me feel like king of the road day in, day out.

IS 350: Review, 09/07/2006

I would rate this car as excellent overall. Robust performance, quiet ride and refined look make the 350 a versatile autombile. Clearly a well engineered car with an impressive reliability record, far better than that of any German manufacturer. The interior is exceptional, keyless ignition and entry is so ingenious that you will never want to carry a car key around again, leather is comfortable, gauges are sharp, controls fairly intuitive. Exterior style is above average, great from the front/side angle but the rear looks similar to a Camry or Sonata.

This is a very fun car. I traded my 2001 GS300 for it. It has plenty of power, although it's deceptive due to the trademark quiet, smooth ride of Lexus. It handles very well without a tremendous sacrifice in ride quality. The car has a lot of great features, especially if you get the NAV package. It would be a waste to buy this car without it due to the bluetooth and back-up camera that come with it, among other things.

Wonderful Sport Sedan .....

After reviewing all the competition from Japan and Germany the IS 350 won. From a value standpoint it is far, far less expensive when you add all the options that are standard. But more important the car is built to the highest standards in this category with a wonderful 306hp engine that rockets this car effortlessly to speeds well over the limit. Mine has the Sport Package which includes a firmer suspension and larger wheels and the car sticks like glue in the corners although it gets a bit unsettled in the bumpy stuff. The Navigation w/Mark Levinson stereo is superb and highly recommended. I understand the ML system is not usually ordered by the dealers, but look around to find one.
