The more I drive my IS 250 AWD, the more I appreciate it. I truly look forward to getting behind the wheel. The more I drive my IS, the better we get along. I can get 30 mpg on the hwy if I use a very light touch, but I've averaged 24 with a mix of hwy, stop-and- go and city. For those who say it is underpowered, my car's power seems to have increased as it is broken in. I'm also more comfortable stomping on the accelerator when I need more power - you can't finesse the accelerator. I keep the transmission in "PWR" mode always.

I had a RX 300 for 7 yrs 152k miles, never had a repair. My friend totaled it. I wanted a sports sedan w/manual tranny. I looked at the IS 250, BMW 325-330, Infiniti G35 & Acura TL. My earlier experience w/lexus was outstanding so I thought this would be a no brainer. It has less performance than the competing models, however it is a perfect car for me. Plenty of power, so quiet, wonderful seat and driving position. It handles really well and the 6 spd is a lot of fun.

Gotta love this car! It was definitely a better choice than the Infiniti G35 which had more power but lacked the luxury I was looking for. My IS 250 has the perfect combination. It's a great standard car to drive.

The Lexus IS 250 is a fun car to drive. The features of the car make it a pleasure to drive. Good gas mileage and just enough power to go up long hills.(BC) Great interior. I hope the resale of the vehicle is as good as the Lexus brand!
