What a Car!!
I had to order my because I wanted stick shift. It took 2 months but is worth the wait. I had test drive BMW 325, nothing compare to IS250 is the BOMB! This is the best car I ever driven in. Love it, stereo awesome sound, I don't even use my key to get into or turn on the engine, as long at the key is my pocket than everything is auto. The best thing is that not many people have this car right now, so it really make me feel good to be driving it. If you don't have it yet, go get one. Awesome car, and it's worth every penny of it.
I love it, I love it, I love it
I have this car in red and it's gorgeous. I love it, it drives so nicely and I love all of the extra things you get with it. I love the detectors on the back and the front of the car to tell you if you are too close to something. I love the sound system, it's great. And the ride is so smooth and it's a pretty tiny car, but it's still very spacious inside.Tthe back seat is a little bit squeezed, but it's still a nice ride.

Grrrrreat Car
This is one fun car to drive. Love the navigation, the push button start, and feeling I am sitting in the cockpit of an airplane... Love the way the car knows I have the keys in my purse and opens the locked door when I reach for the handle.... very cool.
Can't drive it like I stole it!!!
Driving this car is like dating a high maintenance dummy. Looks beautiful but little substance. I made the mistake of not test driving the car in the manner that I usually drive my car. My biggest gripe is the acceleration. The reported 0-60 mph is 8 sec. This is because the first 1.5 seconds the car barely rolls before the computer engages and you actually get moving. The other acceleration problem is on highways when passing. I can't just punch the accelerator and go. I have to time it in order to pass other cars because of the delay similar to the one while standing still. Terrible in winter conditions. Very pretty and comfortable car, though. Next time I'll look for more horsepower.
From Volvo to Lexus in zero seconds flat
We're creatures of comfort, and unfortunately, my car was no longer that. With over 250k miles under its belt, it was time to trade-in my '96 Volvo 850T. Having purchased the Lexus RX 400h at the end of the year, we were VERY impressed with Lexus, and when my wife saw the IS 250 AWD, the deal was done. After my test drive, I was even selling another Volvo'ite prospect on the virtues of the IS. As he put it - the IS is a lot of car for the money. Living in the NorthEast, and with a 100- round-trip to the office, AWD is a must. Creature comfort, and reliability are also necessary, as I often drive to NYC. I'm happy to say, the IS buzz is alive and well - my creature is comforted!
