An SUV that you will rely on for your entire life.
On August 20, 2019. Me and my wife were considering a car that will last long, go offroad, and will not put us down. So, at that time, we considered the GX as our vehicle for the job. So far, the Lexus GX we currently have at this present time is a very fabulous SUV to drive, go offroad with, and taking it on long drives. We wanted an SUV that no matter what happens in any circumstances, it will take us home with no questions asked and it will not fail us and we're very glad we found the right one. It's pretty basic and not complicated to fix compared to other vehicles. The Pros about the Lexus GX is that it's very reliable so far like we didn't receive any issues within the vehicle such as the transmission, engine, electronics, features, etc within 4 years since day 1 from driving it off the dealership lot. In addition of reliability, it's pretty easy and basically like self-explanatory to drive like the vehicle is not complicated and it's just like an old land cruiser. On top of that, we've took this car offroad multiple times. So, we tested on the GX driving on snow, heavy rocks, a very steep hill, and driving it over mud. The GX was able to drive on any type of offroad with no issues which was very impressive. The Cons about the Lexus GX is basically a major gas eater. So basically, since this is a V8, the GX uses lots of gasoline and that's the main bad thing about the GX because now a days, gasoline is very expensive and with this issue, you're going to expect to spend lots of money every month on gasoline. Another thing about the GX is most of the stuff are very outdated. Yes, I understand it's a beauty to have the outdated stuff because it will never fail you in the long run but at least put some features at least if you did it for the LX. Conclusion: The GX in general is an amazing car to drive when it comes to offroad and driving rugged. This can also include road trips and going out such as going from point A to point B. Although to the best of my opinion, it wouldn't be ideal to buy the GX if you're just going to use to work every day because since it's a gasoline hogger and gasoline now a days is expensive. You will be looking to spend more money every month on gas. Although it depends on how you use the vehicle like if you use it on daily basis like normal routines as of going to work every day and your job is either far from your home or closer to your home, it's not really ideal to use the GX for that basis. Other than that, if you want reliability, and you go offroad very frequently and you love to drive in luxury in these 3 reasons. This is the recommended vehicle that I can give you.

Excellent SUV! Will Always Drive A Lexus!
I've owned 2 Lexus GX460's. One I leased and one I bought after ending the lease and had made the mistake of purchasing a new Nissan Murano, which I traded back in. The Lexus has the best headlamps of any vehicle that I have ever owned, including 2 Mercedes models. It is quiet and smooth riding, accelerating well. The interlock brakes stop the vehicle immediately, thank goodness, in a couple cases. Terrific in snow, rain, it feels like a fortress. The rear barn door is much better than a liftback. Great sound, instruments, seat positions, luxurious inside and out. Reliable and perfect to get me to work in all weather. Yes it's an 8 cylinder, about 18-19 miles to the gallon, worth it.
