Black Diamond Edition
This car is a very nice car. It is very smooth, reliable, I am 6 foot 3 I have found enough room to drive the car. It is comfortable. It looks nice. It is good on gas. No vibration. Black Diamond Edition makes it even better. Stereo is nice. I care about keeping my money in my pocket. I like to keep extra extra money in the bank. :) Repairs aren't an issue because it seems that it will not break. Maintaining the car is affordable also if you take it to a great mechanic who treats your car well. Mercedes Bmw and every other expensive car on the road has to pay for expensive repairs and to also maintain it. People who drive those cars normally have their eyes fixed on mine. Get one. Save$
A Great Ride!!!
We purchased 330 ES after 9 months of misery with a bad auto. We had looked at most luxury imports and felt the Lexus was the best for our needs, front wheel drive for bad weather, good fuel economy for size, comfortable back seat. We were not real crazy about the exterior lines at first but after a week we love it and its very fine paint job. First tank of gas we purchased got 29 mpg average on hwy. Not bad for 10% ethanol blend!I have to say the only regret I have is I didn't purchase one earlier!!

Best I have ever driven
Have owned this car since it was new and have over 60000 miles on it. It still handles and drives like a new car. Only problem encountered was a caution lite re: front seat came on and Lexus replaced the whole front seat. Not one other rattle, part problem or issue. Simply the best car we have ever owned.
Great luxury and value
For the price of the car, you cannot find a more luxurious car. This is not a sporty car and please do not rate this car with that angle -- just as one should not compare apples and oranges. The interior is amazingly plush and beautiful; you cannot find it in the BMW 3 or 5 series, nor the E or C-class MB sedans. If you want sporty drive, take a look at the IS or the BMW. If you want ultra-luxury, try the LS or the MB S-class.
ES330 living well beyond the warranty
2006 ES330 bought new from the December to Remember Sales Event. After 14 years the car is as solid as ever. Very minimal maintenance, still a great car for long distance and very comfortable. Drove from Seattle to SFbay drive w/ no problems.

Worth It
My wife found this car online. It was used with only 31,000 miles. I now have 78,000 mile on it and I am very happy I bought this car. Great ride and quiet. Texas is putting down rocks on the roads and noise levels increase greatly. In other vehicles you can barely hear others talk but the Lexus is much quieter. I am a mechanic so I know how to maintain vehicles, which saves a lot of money. I tell all my friends and family they should buy a Lexus. The only drawback I have found, is the braking at high speeds, not the best. I am looking into other braking systems I can upgrade to. I am 6ft tall and have plenty of leg room.

A best buy
This is my second Lexus ES. The car had decent acceleration but i found it lacking when merging into an expressway. Comfortable and quality.I bought a 2003 ES300 with 33,000 on it in 2008. I drove it for 30,000 with no mayor issues. The car was like new even though it was 5 years old when I bought it. The worse problem was that a mechanic at Lexus of North Miami sabotaged the AC system. Got angry when I complained he had not changed the AC cabin air filter after servicing the AC, which included the filter. A different dealer confirmed the AC had been purposely tinkered with and gave an estimate for $900. Took it back to Lexus of North Miami and service manager had it repaired for free. Car
What A Great Vehicle
I purchased this vehicle three weeks ago and it is a great vehicle. The ride is quiet and smooth. There is plenty of power when you need it, and the interior is very well built. The confort level when your in this car is very high. The ventilated and heated seats our a must have option. If you purchase this vehicle I can not see how you could be disappointed. Everything in the 300 ES is luxury oriented.
Squeak
I like the car, but am disappointed with my driver's seat. Every time I accelerate or slow down the seat lets me know it by emanating a loud, annoying squeak. It sounds like there is a spring broken in there or when pieces of styrofoam are rubbed together. I have taken it to the dealer 6 times and they even replaced the seat once, but they cannot fix the problem. It is so loud that even blasting the excellent radio does not help. I spend a lot of time in my car and this problem makes me want to trade the car.
New to Lexus
This is the first Lexus I have owned. Overall I am very happy with the car. The ride is smooth and quiet, even at 80 MPH. The cooled seats are a great feature. The only fit and finish issues I have are that the driver console (window buttons) keeps lifting off. I have been to the dealer twice and it's still not right. The sun roof also has a dull rattle when its either very hot or very cold out. Other issues with the car are that the transmission lurches when taking off from an incomplete stop. The headroom is also tight. While I like the car I don't know if I would buy another. It doesn't quite live up to all of the hype over owning a Lexus. Maybe some of the higher end models do.
Lexus ES 330
Useless front cup holder, everything falls out and spills. The rear seat cup holder is fine. For tall drivers with long legs, need better/larger front seats, seat bottom from back to knees with more leg room front seats. The car needs to have it's horsepower kicked up, as it stands now, it's pretty gutless especially when passing. The trunk is so dark at night. Needs a brighter trunk lite or lights and different placement of the lights. It would be great to have more controls on the steering wheem so the driver doesn't have to take his/her hands off the wheel. I know these are petty little things, but it's the little things that day in and day out that get to you. Overall, love the car !!!!
Truly Happy
From the moment I purchased my ES 330 I loved the plush feel, silent ride and smoothness, I found myself wanting to share the experience with everyone. Subsequently, I brought my wife to the dealership and promptly acquired an RX 330 for her. The ES and RX are the wisest and best investments I have ever made regarding vehicles
Too quiet
This is my 6th Lexus and the quietest yet...I can barely hear the car when I am stopped at a light....several times I have attempted to get out of the car with the motor running because it was so silent and still while in park...I can drive a thousand miles and not feel it in my car....I just wonder why I cannot put the 18 gallons of gas in my ES 330 and why I am not getting the 300plus miles from a full tank.
You Will Love This Car, I Promise!!
I have been driving this car for almost a year now, and I love it! Lexus offered the "Black Diamond Edition" which has an awesome black wood trim which I love. I drove this baby over 1000 miles and never encountered a problem with it. From its comfortable gray leather seating, to its 29 mpg tank, I recommend this car all the way. This car is excellent if you are a young person like me, or have a family to drive your car in. I previously owned a Lexus, and hope to own a Lexus in the future. I recommend buying a black color Lexus (just preferences!) - it's hot!
Great Car
Just bought 2006 ES with navigation. This car is the smoothest, most quiet car I have ever purchased. The build quality is excellent and the fit and finish is best I've seen. The car handles better than I thought it would and the ride is impeccable.

Holds up pretty good for 13 years
A painted hood, new front bumper, front passenger side fender repair(clips); from an animal driving early morning on a country road. Been up and down the coast from Florida to Illinois and in between and still going. beige interior unbelievable for the year.
Great car, great ride
This car has the best ride in its class. The interior is outstanding and the finishings are impecable. The navigation system is great. The performance is not bad but I didn't buy the car for the speed or superb handling but rather for the ease of driving and comfort. The ride is smooth and beyond what you could get in other pricier cars.
Great Value, but ....
Previous cars were all Acuras (Legend and RL). ES 330 was a much better value with equivalent quality. Although we didn't purchase the car for its engine performance, fuel economy has been disappointing. 25 MPG on the highway at 70/75 MPH. City is around 18 MPG. This is WITH Premium gas. Also, a strange sound has started coming the stereo. Otherwise, no problems, great quality/features for the price. Get the ventilated seats, they work great in both winter/summer.
2006 Lexus ES 330 Reviewed
Great all around luxury range entry. Hard to beat total value in terms of price point to features and resale value. A bit soft drive - more luxury than performance, but solid design and build quality. Great vehicle for someone interested in luxury appointments, comfort, quality, and genuine value. Fuel economy is respectable for a luxury car.
Loving L.A. Traffic Now
I have to say, never did I think I would ever "LOVE" a car. But I LOVE this car! It is pure pleasure driving 30 miles to work everyday. Smooth, comfortable, roomy, sleek, sexy, what more can I say. People think I spent 50k on this car, that is how good it looks. Not to mention the Lexus reputation. I am a new LOYAL LEXUS CUSTOMER.
Lifetime Lexus owner
I have had my Lexus es 330 for 2 weeks and love everything about it. The car is vault like quiet and eats up road anomolies with ease. I test drove the other competitors and I liked the Lexus the best because the interior of the car is georgeous and the ride is smooth and quiet. If you are looking for a sporty car then the Lexus is not for you. If you are looking for a car that will give you a quiet, serene and soft ride then the Lexus ES 330 is the car for you. This is my first Lexus and thats all I will buy.
True Luxury Mid-size
An exceptional car in my opinion. The fit and finish is superb. Power is more than adequate for a 63 year old.
My 2006 Lexus
Our Lexus is the ideal car for our type of lifestyle. As typical "snow birds", we spend the winters in Fla. & summers in Pa. We enjoy the year-round luxury it offers & a great selection of options which helps make it suitable for both climates, such as heated/cooled seats, powered sunscreen for the rear window, navigation system & many more which help make our traveling experience more enjoyable.
A true Gem!
My father bought the Lexus at Kearney Mesa Lexus in 2006. He could have bought any car he wanted. He chose the Lexus for low operating costs, luxury ride, and for him, inexpensive tires compared to the European brands. This car lived in a climate controlled garage and because it was at the winter home, it never was driven much. I told him that if he was ever going to sell it, please give me first shot. A few years ago, his health started to decline. He wanted to give it to my daughter for her first car. My brother being such a good brother, drove it from San Diego to northern Utah to deliver it to me. Before he left for the trip, I had him get the oil changed, new battery, and 4 new tires(The original tires were done after 16k miles. Needless to say, I have decided to use the Lexus as my daily and will buy my daughter a newer crossover since that is what she really wants. Now for the good stuff. The timing belt was changed a few years ago. The seats are very comfortable for my 6ft2 200lb frame. The engine is near silent and vibration free. The 5 speed transmission shifts are buttery smooth. Gas mileage is low 20s in the city and close to 30 on the highway. The interior materials put new luxury cars to shame. I plan on keep this gem forever as it has a lot of sentimental value and its a fantastic car. I have pretty much stopped using my 22 Honda Ridgeline BE except for hauling items that won't fit in the Lexus. At any rate, even in 2024 I would highly recommend this Lexus. Despite the age of the vehicle, it really has everything that I need. I mean the cupholders are silly small but a small gatorade bottle fits well. The tape deck and in dash cd player still work. I bought a bluetooth adapter that reads off the the radio and it works fine for my needs. I may install an Apple Car play unit as they are cheap and easy to install. I am also going to get a set of 16" wheels with Blizzak WS90 winter tires. With the heavy v-6 over the front wheels, this vehicle will be fine for 90% of my winter needs. My skis fit fine in the rear seat pass through.

Like an old car
I have had the tires balanced 5 times & the dealer changed all tires on car. It still vibrates at highway speeds. Lots of wind noise from over drivers door. Doesnt shift smoothly in stop & go traffic. Armrests are too hard for a luxury car. Can't find garage door button in dark - no illumination. Front end was out of line when purchased but it is ok now. This vehicle has been very disappointing & I have never felt as though I am driving a new car. I think Lexus is very, very overrated.
awesome car
Bought the 2006 black diamond edition with all options. Car is quietest, smoothest riding vehicle I have owned. Fuel economy seems to be ok- 23/24 city so far. Interior is first rate and radio sounds like you are in a concert hall. No evidence of trans problem others have had.
my Lexus 330
Being a senior @ 84, & having driven many miles in many different vehicles, I don't think there could be a more suitable car for a senior citizen. Really a great car!

Disappointed
Steering is too sensitive, although it turns extremely well. Does not handle well in high wind. After owning the Chrysler 300C, the Lexus ES330 was a disappointment. Gets pretty good gas mileage, but you have to use premium fuel (Edmunds reports regular fuel -- not true, and the dealer didn't tell us about the fuel until we were ready to leave with the car! (Lesson learned: Buyer Beware!) Navigation system is too complicated and inaccurate, which doesn't help when you're in the middle of heavy, high-speed traffic and need it the most! Sound system could be improved with better quality speakers or more of them.
First Ever Non GM Car
This is the first ever Japanese car in this family and may not be the last. Fit and finish is superior to any American vehicle we've owned. Quietness, power, luxury, beauty of front end design, ergonomics, attention to detail are all reasons we left the General. And we don't regret it one bit.
The Pursuit of Perfection Continues
The 2006 Lexus ES330 continues the Lexus tradition of striving to be the best in it's mid-luxury class. The exterior styling retains it's dramatic look and still turns heads after all these years. The interior is plush and comfortable with many luxury items to keep the driver happy. The performance of the 3.3L 6 cyl engine is more than adequate and the 17" alloy wheels deliver a smooth ride. All around handling is great.
Never Again
Always wanted to own a Lexus. I now own my first and last. Previously owned a Park Avenue which had more comfortable seats, more leg and head room, front and back, smoother transmission, better overall ride, better gas mileage (3 to 4 more miles per gallon on regular gas), better designed dash and driving controls as well as more luxury features. Lexus is over rated and after driving it for a year can only say it has been a great disappointment. Only wish they still made the Park Avenue.
Love My New Lexus ES 330!
I have never owned a Lexus until now, and I see why owners of them are so loyal. The car, for the price, has so much too offer in terms of comfort, safety, sportiness and luxury. I was impressed by the comfort and responsiveness. For the price, safety and reliability I couldn't justify not taking the Lexus ES 330 home! I am so happy with my purchase!
2006 ES 330
I have owned the ES330 for 2 months. I think it is going to be the finest auto I have ever owned. It did take two trips back to the dealer to get the steering right. Two front tires were replaced & a full alignment. Finally, it steers like a new car. I have driven the car only 1400 miles so far, but I'm looking forward to our first long trip...A chance to get used to all the nice features & enjoy the comfort. I love it.
Love my ES 330
Having owned Cadillacs and Lincolns, the Lexus was my first exposure to Japanese luxury. What a thrill. Very well thought out, outstanding features, performance and great economy. Loved it in the hills of San Francisco and the mountains, long distance and short hops around town. Highly recommend, great value, really satisfying experience.
2005 ES 330
We drove this car from San Francisco to Palm Desert CA, one week after we purchased it. We like the leather seats in our 1997 ES 300 better, but this was a pure delight to drive. Its drives like a well built car.
