Hard to find anything to fault !
EX/HEV. Sliced a tire open on a storm drain outcropping while parking in the first week of ownership (my bad) and lack of a donut spare meant AAA flatbed wrecker ride to a garage. So now considering picking up a spare kit - which of course I'll probably never touch. Last car (Hyundai Elantra Touring) went 275,000 miles without a flat. Go figure. I keep my cars for a long time. This car is lovely, looks good inside and out, plenty of leg and headroom fore and aft, especially considering it's not a large car at all. Seats are a little narrow for me or maybe more accurately, the bolstering is a little to steeply angled for my "arse" - but in the past few weeks have noticed this less and less. Rides and handles well - not a sports car, but safe and solid and tracks straight and true with almost no driver input needed. Gets a little unsettled on erratic pavement, but only just a little. The suspension is clearly tuned for comfort, not the skid pad. But it is still decently fun to drive. Cabin seems exceptionally quiet. Stock sound system sounds very good to my ears. Car has more tech than I care to learn about (the printed manual is perhaps the only item I really dislike). The adaptive cruise control is outstanding, as is the lane keeping if you care to use it. On the interstate this thing really can just drive itself. Not sure if that's a good thing I'm getting 57 mpg by the Niros own "accumulative" widow calculation. But my own gallons pumped/miles driven math says I'm getting 55.3 - so the car is a little optimistic maybe? But still, with just a little moderation anyone should be able to hit the sticker EPA ratings of low 50s, or at least 50 mpg. If I hyper mile on secondary roads I can hit well up into the 60s. That's impressive. This is an easy car to recommended

Our last three cars were Souls. We loved them. The Niro is less boxy, but quicker and quiet. We did a one day 350-mile trip. It was very nice. another trip tomorrow and we look forward to it. we installed a charger at our house, and it is very convenient. It is a very nice car.

Rental for a week
They only had electric so I was excited at first but the defrost worked terribly in wet weather and the dash was not user friendly. Also if you have a home charger it’s probably better but finding charging was frustrating. The charging port is tricky also with 2 different chargers requiring a lot of force to dislodge.
