I like it, but not too much
This review is for the FWD version. I like the way it drives. Smooth and quiet cabin with nice acceleration with the 2.5L normally aspirated. Good gas mileage, getting like 40 mpg at 65 on the highway. When I test drove the AWD it felt heavier and nosier. Things that I don't like: #1: the control of the climate is horrible. It is mostly touch with the controls shared with the radio. This means that if you reach for the volume knob without watching, you may be changing the temperature. Even if you have it in radio mode, when you reach for the volume you may be accidentally touching the touch sensor next to the knob and again changing the temperature. Also, when you turn off the climate, you actually get hot air coming out of the vents, unless you also put it in recirculate. #2: the dashboard looks like a screen, but the actual graphic portion is a small 4.2" in the middle. The speedometer and tachometer are digital (numeric) only, with no possibility of showing actual gages. I think this is a step back from older models. #3: this is a personal opinion, but I think that the 2024 front and back lights with their simpler and cleaner design looked better. #4: the Bose premium audio was a bit of a disappointment. It is good, but not great. It does not sound as good as what you get with a base audio system in an Audi Q5. I don't know how it compares to the basic audio in the K5. Overall I'm happy with the purchase but there are some details that could have made the experience much better

Sharp & Quiet Ride - GT-Line Fun.
I bought my car only 4 weeks ago. I traded in my 2019 Camry SE that I really liked, and had no problems. I read a lot about the K5 and was impressed enough to look at it. The test ride was perfect, and it looked sharped and drove smooth & quiet . Very insulated ride. I believe the windows are special to deaden noise. I then drove it to Florida and back, about 3,500 miles. My intially impession. Very quiet and smooth ride. Very well balanced handling and driving. Many features. I got the Wolf Grey with the Red syn Seats. I was really impressed with the quietness of the car, I was mostly going 80 mph, and virtually no wind noise, and I was getting around 37- 38.5 mpg on average (checking per each fill up) surpassing the EPA estimate and this is with two people and lot of luggage etc. I found the seats very comfortable, and the Bose stereo was really great. Nice to have the panoramic roof, to let more light in when needed. Excellent room inside, and loaded with alot of nice features. The only thing negative thing I would say is it combined heating & media controls which shares the same screen based on a screen press toggle. That took somewhat time to get use to etc. The Nav system was dead on and very timely in instructions. ride was very balanced. Decent room for luggage and the trunk arms have their own insert sleeving so your luggage won't get ruined once shut. I know these cars don't have the resale value of the Camry, but they do have a very good rating for durability from what I read. BTW, the engine uses the same setup as my Camry with 2 injectors per cylinder. One for port injection the second for Direct injection. It's no secret as to why since Direct inject engine have a problem with carbon build up after 40K miles. This greatly reduces that problem, hence why Toyota and I think Ford went that route. Only time will tell, but after hard driving for long hours, it was excellent!!!

Sporty but luxurious too!
Absolutely LOVE my K5. It has so many amazing features that I didn’t realize I’d want or need. But I feel like it’s the safest car on the road bc of all the features it has. It has some “get up” for a sedan. But looks fancy too! I would HIGHLY recommend the Kia K5. It’s the best car I’ve ever owned in my opinion.
